Justa - that's such great news about DS2. I'm so pleased for you. Can't say I feel too excited about the caravan idea with small 3 boys though. Sounds like a recipe for chaos.

vvviola · 25/03/2013 09:41

Thelittlestkiwi - these are the places. They looked lovely, but unfortunately the lack of Internet was a deal breaker for us Hmm

Justa great news on both counts.

Those with school age children I'm looking for ideas for the school hols. Have you seen anything yet? Going to try to do a mixture of work from home while boys have friends over and day trips. We did this last year and it was fun, may do it again this year:

Am holding off to see if any tickets come up on grab one.

WhatSheSaid · 25/03/2013 18:53

Oh, haven't thought about holidays yet. Will all depend on weather of course. I usually check out Eventfinder but 9 times out of 10 just end up staying local.

Have stuff planned for most days this long weekend but that's it so far.

Actually quite glad of this 5 day weekend, dd1 is v tired from school at the mo - first full term for her.

Justa/vvviola - lovely to see you the other day Smile

Littlest - I won't tell you how many weeks I've done solo since moving to nz, too many. The longest was about 7 weeks. Think you're near me, east of cbd? Happy to meet up if you'd like.

Wees are great news Justa!

AngryBeaver · 26/03/2013 02:44

Hooray for the wee wee's!!That's fab!
Am with lolly on the caravan though, I'm afraid! But hey, it's your sanity, do what you like with it!Smile

I might be coming to Aukland on Friday, not quite sure...is there anyone (potentially) that would like a meet up around the Wynyard Quarter or somewhere within walking distance from the harbour?

Oh no AB! DH has just come home and muttered something about Internet dongles and work and being on-call. All of which appears to mean that we are going to be heading for Mangawhai after all. Hurray for Mangawhai but boo for not being able to meet up Hmm

WhatSheSaid · 26/03/2013 04:36

Are you coming in by yourself or with dcs AB? We're meant to be staining our deck on Friday fun never stops at our house!

thelittlestkiwi · 26/03/2013 04:53

Ha ha- that's what I'm doing on Friday WSS! I thought it was just a case of painting stain on but my kiwi pal now has me sanding pencil marks and is bringing me filler......

Oh I know nothing of filler etc! It's a new deck though so hopefully doesn't need anything other than the deck stain.

AB are you coming in daytime or evening? There's free cinema in the evening at Silo Park ...(The Castle, great film).

WhatSheSaid · 26/03/2013 05:24

justabout LOL at "oh god yes, it's Good Friday" from the vicar Grin

thelittlestkiwi · 26/03/2013 06:23

Ours is new too WWS. I may ignore the advice from the professional painter if I can't be arsed. We're doing our balustrade in white which probably makes a difference.

Enjoying lent then Justabout? Grin

Lat minute shopping! DS1 is severely allergic to tree nuts and sesame so I usually buy kinnerton eggs for easter. Countdown usually sell them, but I have been to several and they don't have any. Has anybody seen Kinnerton eggs on sale? Thanks
