Hi girls :-)

OP posts:
Knihomolka · 18/11/2011 13:36

Zab, it's worse when they are preschool. Only I must say, this year - when my daughter is in the third grade - it's not great either.
And my son stayed at home with irritable cough today but on the whole it does get better when they reach school age.

zabusa28 · 18/11/2011 14:27

My son was ill very often last school year and I hoped that it wil be better this school year. And it isn't. I hope he will be healthy before he will reach school age.

Knihomolka · 18/11/2011 16:26

As long as it isn't anything serious, but yeah, it's a bummer whem mummy works...

zabusa28 · 18/11/2011 22:20

I don't work "luckily". But I need a job and I can't work when my son is very ofen ill.

Ivuljenka · 19/11/2011 19:39

Zab - our daughter is often ill too. That is because the Nurseryschool is full of children - they have cold, cought ... Sometimes there is a child with hihg temperature :o( Last week, the teacher said to me,that she had to send the child to home. I don´t understand it! I think it will be better in future.

Knihomolka · 20/11/2011 18:23

A minor change of topic: what about christmas Wink
Advent - if advent is the term in English Wink starts in a week's time it's making me nervous Confused. I have books as presents. Presents for my mum (nothing for Dad), nothing for DH and one or two games but that's it. We dont go for piles of presents but I'dlike to have one wow factor present for each person Hmm

And talking of sickness, my son's got an awful cough but he is going to school because the older they get, the more problematic breaks from school become for them.

zabusa28 · 21/11/2011 06:24

I haven't present for my grandfather and one present for DH. For other people I have everything. I hate buying presents at the last minute.

Knihomolka · 21/11/2011 06:52

So do I but I'm still buying merchandise and waiting for payments from clients Confused and there is never any money but I will get there.
Also my son only started to express his wishes that are somewhat different than I'd expected... off to the shops!

Ivuljenka · 24/11/2011 19:32

Hallo,
my daughter is also ill :O(

And Christmas, I usually do not have problems with presents. I have collected ideas and opinion since August and I have started to buy presents since October :o) Only my nephew is big problem. My husband´s sister in law is curious, she doesn´t play with his son, he is quite and she is not able to give us any tip for present. We gave him tatoo studio two years ago and he has not still used it. We found it this year in his room still wrapped. I can´t understand it! My daughter loves presents and unwrap them imediately.

Ivuljenka · 26/11/2011 08:55

Where are you????

zabusa28 · 27/11/2011 11:28

I'm here.

Ivuljenka · 27/11/2011 15:21

My husband is ill too :) It is horrible!

We made some christmas decoration with my daughter. And next week I hope we will backe some christmas crackers.

anavel3 · 30/11/2011 16:10

Hi girls, sorry for a long pause, I´ve been quite busy getting ready for Christmas. Probably for the first time ever I have all my childrens Xmas presents bought and wrapped, now that is something! All I have to get is a present for my Mum and Dad. My Mum has a Name Day before Xmas as well, which doesnt make things easier. This year I will be making Christmas wreath for her, hope that turns out well, I am not very handy :-(. Have you got all your decorations up yet?

Ivuljenka · 01/12/2011 08:06

Hallo,
my mother has her Name Day on 24. December :o)
I still havn´t had some presents but I hope I will buy them next week. And yestrday I baked the first crackers.

anavel3 · 01/12/2011 09:01

Hello, my mum's name day is on the 23rd of December :-)
I am not baking anything this year, last year I've made ginger bread buiscuits, decorated them nicely and no one was eating it in the end, so this year I said what the heck, there will be no baking! And we are not having a carp either! I can't stand the though of murdering the poor fish! Instead I'm thinking of cooking traditional roast dinner as I haven't had it for a long time and I miss it.

Ivuljenka · 02/12/2011 17:42

:o) We are baking together with my mum this year - and then we will changed our crackers :o)

anavel3 · 06/12/2011 06:13

hiya
Ivuljenka: how did it go at school with that article? Did you do well?

OP posts:
Ivuljenka · 10/12/2011 14:42

Yes, I got 10 points from 10 possible. But I suppose the teacher did not read it at all :o) But I have another crazy scholary paper to literature. So I am working on it these days. Because my exams starts on 9.1.

Knihomolka · 12/12/2011 06:23

I envy everybody who will be ready for Xmas!
My daughter's got a tonsilitis, my husband had a nasty flu all wekk and now it is pneumonia - and he cannot cope with atb, that makes him terribly sick so I have to do it all - my eshop, minding my daughter, making lunches, quick shop but not picking up presents in person or window-shopping or anything like that Sad Every year I try to make sure I've got everything in advance and every year something prevents me Xmas Angry

Ivuljenka · 12/12/2011 18:30

Knihomolka - Good luck! :o) My husband was ill last week, my daughter too. And now after 5 days at Nurseryschool, she is at home again! Horrible.

Emma2228 · 16/12/2011 16:18

hi girls, anybody in south around bournemouth?:-) Im slovak, moved with my kiddie.

Knihomolka · 17/12/2011 12:08

Emma, I think we are more or less all in the Czech Republic, but I visit Bournemouth when we are over there, it's close to where our relatives live. We take a double-decker and visit the oceanarium with kids, have a lunch in Moon in the Square, lovely, I miss that Sad

anavel3 · 18/12/2011 09:34

Hi girls, I can see everybody is ill. My kids were all ill as well for the past two weeks and now finally when they got a little better I am feeling sick. To be honest I cant remember any Christmas in the past when I felt 100% :-((( I guess its just this time of the year. I look back at the Christmas photos and all I can see is my red eyes and snotty nose.
Emma hi, I lived in London, but I moved back to Czech, we used to go to Bornemouth every summer for a couple of days so I know it well. Its also one in few places in England that has sandy beach and that is why we went. And also is close to London. My favourite English beach has to be Great Yarmouth though, has anybody been?

Ivuljenka · 20/12/2011 10:31

Hallo,

I was usually ill at christmas when I was a child. But it was fine, I could play with my toys in my bed and watched films on tv.

I hope we are healthy this year.

What about the death of Mr. Havel? I am so sad. I missed him.

zabusa28 · 11/01/2012 07:26

Hi girls,

sorry for my long pause. But I'm her now Smile I hope everybody is healthy. How was the Chrismas?
