We need to organise this a bit in advance so that as many people as possible can come. It doesn't have to be lunch of course - we could make it dinner so that the working mums have more of a chance to come.

Any suggestions?

Btw, I think Ruthchan is bringing potato salad...

RuthChan · 11/07/2011 10:34

I'll bring along a potato salad and two small chaotic people.
(They just got told off by a lady in a shop for redistributing her merchandise! Blush)
Looking forward to seeing you all. :)

kreecherlivesupstairs · 11/07/2011 10:45

I'll bring something gorgeous apart from DD. I am going to call at stonemanor in a very excited way.
See you all tomorrow. DD is still asleep, apparently I was a snore machine last night so she read until 2am while I knocked out the zeds.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 11/07/2011 10:45

Should we bring plates and cutlery by the way?

monkeybumsmum · 11/07/2011 12:09

No, don't worry about plates etc, we should have enough Smile T'is very exciting!

Oh no Ruthchan Blush What is it with children and shops?

Longtime · 11/07/2011 20:02

What shall I bring monkey? I think another mum is coming for the afternoon. I need to send her the address.

Ooh gosh, ummm... I don't know! I can't seem to think at the moment! What about some sort of pudding? I'll get quite a few strawberries in the morning, and we have ice lollies for the children if it turns out to be a hot day

Who is it who's coming? That'll be lovely Smile
Are you bringing dd? I think she's a similar age to kreecher's dd, so would be lovely if she came Smile

RuthChan · 11/07/2011 20:40

Longtime: I do hope your DD is coming. I have already promised my DCs that she is and I will be in awful trouble if she doesn't.

Longtime · 11/07/2011 22:39

Absolutely she's coming!

Monkey: Thank you so much for today. We had a wonderful time! :)

Portofino: It's a shame you couldn't join us. It would have been lovely to see you too. However, you're not allowed to be too jealous as you're having so much fun on your hollibobs! Wink

kreecherlivesupstairs · 13/07/2011 06:01

Thanks from us too Monkey. We had a fantastic time. All was going well getting home until we were directed by the GPS to turn left out of your house and then left again by oogling mans house. We ended up on a dirt track so turned back round again.
The ring road was dreadful and when we reached Antwerp ring I was being harassed by a man from a place beginning with E on his number plate.
We got home at 7.45.
Thanks again, it was lovely.

Longtime · 13/07/2011 08:56

Thanks from me too monkey. Lovely to see you all and to finally meet you and dd, kreecher. Getting home seemed much quicker than getting there somehow. Sorry you had a horrible journey back kreecher.

Talking of kreecher, I'm getting unreasonably excited about going to see hp this afternoon. I feel like I'm swallowing razor blades so not really sure I should go but it'll take more than that to stop me.

Thanks for the thank you's, it was a pleasure to have you all here Smile Just wish you weren't leaving so soon Kreecher, and then we could have done it again sometime! I think you and Porto would get on incredibly well Grin

Sorry to hear about your journey Kreecher, you poor things! Am intrigued to know which dirt track you ended up on though Grin I should have said to turn right out of the drive, sorry!

Longtime, hope your throat feels better soon, and that you are enjoying HP as I type Grin Please come back and tell us what it was like! I am desperate to go and see it!

Porto, hope you're still enjoying your holibobs Grin Your pics on FB are great! It sounds like you're all having a fab old time!

Ruthchan, hope you've had a nice day today and the horrible weather didn't scupper any plans... Still hoping to get together on Friday if I can make serious inroads into my to do list and the packing... Off to do some more washing now! xxx

kreecherlivesupstairs · 13/07/2011 18:28

I said, it was the man that oogles (according to DD). I think she meant ogles.
He has a jack russel terrier that runs along his fence line and lives at 1c

monkeybumsmum · 13/07/2011 19:27

So he has a dirt track next to him? Maybe I'm being a bit dim here Blush Shall go and investigate...

Longtime · 13/07/2011 20:35

hp was really good. Not as sad as I thought it would be (thankfully, as I would have felt a bit of a fool crying in the cinema!) and I deliberately didn't either watch any trailers or reread the book before going so as not to spoil the experience. I went armed with Strepsils and bought water and a lollipop to take in with me so I had something to suck the whole time (to stop me coughing mainly - didn't think I'd be too popular otherwise!). Still feel like I'm swallowing razor blades though so maybe a trip to the doctor is on the cards.
