I adore her. She had melanoma in COVID, they said they got it all etc, and it's back. Looking like it will be pretty quick now.

I am so sorry to hear about your lovely Sister. There is nothing anyone can say to make it better. I lost both of mine and it is awful. Just be there, laugh together when you can and just hold her hand and feel the love x

Thank you all. Going home with my parents who aren't up to the shift to ICU - middle sister is with little sister and brother in law. Probably the last time I'm going to see her conscious - they're likely to ventilate her when she gets to ICU and then it's just a waiting game. My parents are late 70s so don't want to leave them alone in all this. Bless her, she keeps apologising for being tired and needing to sleep.

I'm so sorry. I lost my son to a different cancer aged 18.

It's a cruel cruel disease.

Even if she is unconscious keep talking to her. I'm sure she feels all your love. When the time comes I hope it's gentle for her.

Thanks so much all. Middle of the night but obvs I can't sleep - I'm managing one night in three at the moment.

Shes a great girl my sister's. Got diagnosed with ms about 6!or 7 years ago - took it in her stride. They tried die a second baby including via ivf but it didn't work out, but she took it on the chin and embraced life as a mum of one. We have the same stupid warped sense of humour, so just laughed non stop every time we met - even in hospital we've just been laughing. She is a very loving and kind person (I'm not nearly as nice) and has lots of really strong solid friendships.

My brother knows but isn't in touch - so my parents will have no other kids in the country to support them. She was a star at being there for them and sorting stuff out. I was always there to help and pop back lots, but she was the one who dropped in several times a week and had them to dinner. Brother in law is a star as are her friends so between is we'll be covered, but I'm going to miss that girl

I hope you did manage to get some sleep. I thought about you last night when I went to bed and just want to wish you strength for the day. Sending you, your family and your lovely sister a hug .
