I adore her. She had melanoma in COVID, they said they got it all etc, and it's back. Looking like it will be pretty quick now.

Spider dances are epic - you screw your face up and make loads of pointy movements with your elbows and hands, to anything with a beat. It's utterly ridiculous and immense fun (guaranteed to mortify any children in the vicinity, which is an added bonus). I recommend it!

So sorry for the loss of your beautiful Evelyn.
in the Southern Hemisphere I am drinking tea but will raise a glass of red for her ( and for you).
In NZ it is Matariki… a holiday to celebrate the time of year when there are a special group of bright stars in the sky.. it is Māori New Year.. I will look for Evelyn in the stars.
I have lost a sister too… the pain is so hard.

Thank you so much all. The wake and funeral were a fabulous send off for her - she was very loved.

She sent me voice notes all the time, and it's lovely being able to listen to them and hear her laughing still.

I've really appreciated all the support given to me on this thread - more than you will ever know. I'll do my best to pass that support onto others xx
