Waiting for the call :(

My sister in law has terminal breast cancer, its end stage, she's palliative in a hospice and she's 40 with young kids.
It's awful. I'm waiting for the call to say she's gone. It's torture.

I don't know why I'm posting really.

I don't know how we will cope with this, without her.

I hope she is comfortable, calm, and peaceful.
So sad for you all.

I’ve been here and it’s awful. I’m so very, very sorry, OP. Someone once said to me that the pain never goes away and never gets less intense…but life eventually grows around it. Thinking of you and sending you all a mental hug over the internet. ❤️

So sorry twix, that is desperately sad. I totally understand what you say about her being like a sister. My sister in law means the world to me, we are so alike. Neither of us have a biological sister (we're married to brothers) and she now just calls me her sister. I'd be utterly devastated if anything happened to her.

I am so sorry . I am 10 months on from losing DH, I still wait for him to walk through the door and still see him out of the corner of my eye so I understand that raw shocked feeling.

I am so sorry to read this, I hope her passing was peaceful.

My sister died at 33 from cancer, I wish I had done some bereavement counselling, it may be something for you/ DH to consider in future.
