We feel really bad and it was totally an accident, my baby screams whenever I am not holding him, but I needed a nap so my partner went to go make a bottle and was unlocking the door and since baby is so wriggly and has a lot of neck strength he managed to hit his head, there is a bit of bruising around the eye, this is also the eye that swells up and dowwn because of the forceps. I have social involvement because I am underage and have ASD but they are happy with us as we have good engagement and baby is gaining loads of weight (he was born a bit too small) we are phoning the GP on Monday as we beed to anyway for his 6 week check up, but we are worried they will think it was not an accident or that we are too irresponsible, we will mention it on the phone to GP, social are due out on Monday, my baby is acting normal and it doesnt appear to be bothering him
Will social escalate because of this? It took a lot of effort to have social services happy with us and I don't want to lose my baby

@Ckp88 you ok?

Whoopaday · 28/01/2024 10:14

@Ckp88 sorry posters piled onto you, it’s a very scary situation for you and you did the right first thing in reaching out and asking for help, that’s a great first start. Hopefully you’ve been to hospital if not even if he seems fine it’s still far better to go today than wait to speak to the gp tomorrow.

Op are you and the baby ok now?

BritneyBookClubPresident · 31/01/2024 17:12

OP I really hope you took the baby to hospital? Babies need checked over by professionals.

Also it's very concerning what you have described with your partner
