Morning everyone!

I'm still testing negative at 6dp5dt. I think I will test again at 7 or 8 but beginning to feel a bit defeated.

So sorry you are feeling this way, lovely. Good to guard your heart but it's not over yet❤

Azahar8 · 19/05/2026 08:22

Thank you so much @FrozenPeass . 💙When are you planning to test?

@MocktailMe It's possible get evap lines if you look at the tests after a while, so it might mislead you. On my last cycle I kept one of my tests which had been start white in the morning and could see the faintest line when I looked at it in the afternoon. It was most likely an evap line but it messed with me.

I've always kept my tests, I can tell the difference between the evap lines and genuine ones (I've tested out multiple losses in the past so I know what they look like at the very lowest HGC).

The main problem is that I just can't say that I'll be able to resist looking early. I know I will be able to resist 3, 4, 5 and probably 6 days post transfer but 7 I know will be game over!

Does anyone else use a Fitbit? I've always found before I can tell if I'm pregnant from my heart rate so I'm also debating taking that off.

I’m sorry @WanOvaryKenobi, I’ve got fingers crossed for you that you see the line soon!! I’m very nervous to test although so close to cracking today

Definitely not out @WanOvaryKenobi until the blood test, il keep hoping for you 🧡 guess the benefits of early testing is having a few days to get used to the situation of it not working thought so completely understand guarding your heart

MocktailMe · 20/05/2026 09:28

I am so sorry. I know there is still a chance, but I would also be guarding my heart now.

Keep up with the meds - for one reason, if it has failed, you'll want to try again. You know that with the admin delays it will take a bit of time for that to be arranged. So to try again cycle after next you don't want a period too soon, or there won't be time to get everything arranged. (This approach really has got me through staying on progesterone once I knew it was over). Hugs.

Hi everyone can I join? I recognise a few handles from March. We didn’t have much to celebrate then, hoping May brings more good news and BFPs 🙏🏻
I have the day off work today so trying to chill a bit, and taking some time to catch up on this thread.
IVF is such a personal thing, knowing you’re not alone in it can really help. My DHs way of coping is to be positive but not over think it and just live life. Luckily for me there is AI to overanalyse symptoms with 😂
I had my FET on Monday, OTD 01 jun. I had to go alone this time. It was a bit stressful leading up to it as we nearly landed on a Sunday and my clinic don’t do Sunday transfers 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I’m taking a big win that it’s happened this month. I feel a bit more easier this time as I now know not to let the progesterone symptoms. Although it’s all encompassing mentally.

Now to find a new series to get stuck in to for the long TWW

WanOvaryKenobi · 20/05/2026 10:57

@TheMintCrab @MocktailMe

That's exactly how I feel. Not looking good, still a small chance, but enough time to get my head around it.

We went abroad for our last round so I'm hoping they can fit me in ASAP for another transfer.

@WanOvaryKenobi I am really sorry! I hope that you can do something nice for yourself over the next few days it is so crushing to get negative results after all of the hope, the build up, the effort etc etc. If it does turn out that this cycle has not been successful I really hope you can get booked in for another transfer ASAP!

I caved and started testing ridiculously early, got negatives at first but I have started to get some faint positives. I have been really worried about the progression and have been spiralling thinking I am in the middle of a chemical pregnancy. I decided to go get a private blood test on Monday and it came back 23, then going to get another one today and see how the level is rising 🙏

I hope that everyone is doing well/or maybe just surviving the TWW or the wait to transfer. Wishing everyone so much luck 💕🍀

Ooh this is exciting. How many dpt are you?

Azahar8 · 20/05/2026 15:28

Cautious congratulations @FrozenPeass! Very good idea about the blood test. Hope you get a reassuring result today!🤗

I'll be testing tomorrow at 9dpt and very nervous.

FrozenPeass · 20/05/2026 15:44

I am 8 days post transfer @LifeOfRiley63

@Azahar8 good luck for tomorrow, everything crossed!!! Thank you, I am really hoping that the blood test today shows a good rise in hcg 🙏 just decided it would be better to pay for the test rather than driving myself insane looking at fine lines under a microscope 🤣

All The best this time around, we go again 💪🏼

Thanks for the recommendation! I have just watched Should I Marry a Murderer on Netflix. It was definitely gripping enough to keep
my attention 🙌🏻

Greentiles67 · 20/05/2026 16:12

I am sat here worrying about my dose of progesterone and contemplating calling the clinic. Last time my period broke through around day 10. My progesterone levels were really high on transfer day 🤔 this week.
I’m wondering if I am metabolising it quickly, and any dip, would then mean AF arrives in no time.

The Dr isn’t change my dose or route this time. Am I being a bit daft for not insisting? We’re private so I’ve already thrown a lot of money at this, but time is something I really can’t get back so throwing the kitchen sink at it would be better.

Is this normal to stick with just the pessaries after a fail?

Azahar8 · 20/05/2026 16:22

Thank you ladies, you are a great support 💛

@Greentiles67 Are you on a fully medicated cycle?

FrozenPeass · 20/05/2026 16:33

Hi @Greentiles67 my period came through when I was still on progesterone for my first FET. I asked the doctor the same question and he said no amount of progesterone will delay the period forever if an embryo doesn’t implant and did not change the protocol. My next FET with the same progesterone support is now 2!

still worth ringing them to discuss though, it is good to ask questions and make sure you feel comfortable with the protocol you are on

Greentiles67 · 20/05/2026 16:54

This is a natural cycle this time.

Appreciate hearing others experiences thank you. The Dr said it was probably the blasto not being right - natures way sort of thing.

We didn’t get them tested. I think if we had and it failed there would have been ever more what ifs.

goodness me all these worries, and I can’t stop eating crisps - damn progesterone side effects 🤣

Azahar8 · 20/05/2026 17:32

If you are on a natural cycle then having only pessaries makes sense, as your body is producing its own progesterone. It was probably your own progesterone dropping after the embryo didn't implant. But I agree with @FrozenPeass that it's always worth asking.

TheMintCrab · 20/05/2026 22:34

Hurrah on your positive @FrozenPeass and I hope the blood test is reassuring

I took a test this evening (8dp5dt) and it’s positive 🫣 not sure what to feel because I’ve never had a positive test before so will just continue probably feeling a bit numb until at least the blood test next Tuesday

@Azahar8 im very hoping it’s good news for you tomorrow 🤍🤍

All the luck and sympathy to you gals waiting for transfer/ also in the TWW! I’ve gained 5kg since starting IVF and have insane hormonal acne like I never did as a teenager
