Anyone else having embryo transfers next month and preparing now?

@OneGladOtter I did kind of have this for one of my transfers as they didn’t confirm the exact time until basically on the day. Just asked that I was available to come in between certain times. Might be worth asking roughly what time they’d want you to be ready to come in at? Seems weird they gave you no indication!

@MocktailMe yayyy!!! That’s great news and how exciting getting a date already! Do you usually respond quite well to
medication? I always have to wait to see what my lining wants to do as it’s a bit unreliable so can’t prebook transfers 🙈

MocktailMe · 15/05/2026 16:14

We get a call the day before to tell us the time so it's normal to not know loads in advance, but they only do morning transfers at my clinic, if they did them in the afternoon then I wouldn't think a morning call would be unusual!

I do usually touch wood. They said everything looks good so happy to go for this time next week no further scans needed. I'll start my progesterone in a couple of days and then we will be ready to roll again...

Azahar8 · 15/05/2026 17:11

My clinic gives the transfer timing several days in advance, but there is usually some delay on the day.

OneGladOtter · 15/05/2026 17:39

Thankyou, yeh thats what i was after just a small timeframe. The information is so limited isnt it x

Azahar8 · 15/05/2026 18:04

So frustrating if they actually forgot about you! Hopefully all goes smoothly from now on!

OneGladOtter · 16/05/2026 20:47

hope you ladies are all doing ok in the TWW, sending all the positivity 🧚‍♂️

Azahar8 · 16/05/2026 20:59

Thank you lovely. I'm struggling a bit with emotions. Sending all the positivity for your transfer tomorrow!💫

TheMintCrab · Yesterday 07:55

Thank you @OneGladOtter 🧡 ah good luck with your transfer! Sending lots of luck 🍀

It’s so agonising isn’t it, I know how you feel @Azahar8 I know you said it’s your last embie, would you do another retrieval?

I stayed up half of last night trying to convince myself I could feel twinges - only managed to get some sweet release distracting myself with politics 😱 Was feeling ok before but really caved and obsessed a bit yesterday. I’m going to try and fill my days now with stuff until Weds when I’m testing because I need constant distraction!

Azahar8 · Yesterday 09:51

I know what you mean @TheMintCrab - it gets worse every day. I was feeling quite numb the first days as I didn't have hope after so many failures but now I've started thinking "what if it works.." and desperately wanting it to work... I would probably end up doing another retrieval as I am not ready to give up yet but it's a very difficult decision financially. We are already so lucky and blessed to have one child, and I don't want to disadvantage him by spending all our money on something that may never work. Also, ivf takes away all the joy from daily life.. But as I said I'd probably go for it again if we can.

aww im sorry your feeling like this @Azahar8 its so tough to go through, remember we are here for you!

@TheMintCrab me too, politics isnt my thing but i listen to the rest is politics and an american one now- its must be some kind of mental release.

transfer done girls x

Azahar8 · Yesterday 17:06

Thank you lovely.

Well done for your transfer! How are you feeling?

OneGladOtter · Yesterday 17:29

knackered 🤣🤣
It wasnt as straight forward this transfer- she couldnt use that ultra sound catheter so she had to use a different one- she was struggling and got a bit flustered, it was a bit doom and gloom & she kept saying this will hurt (which it never thankfully) so feel exhausted from the nurse tbh… but positive is its transfered and last time was super quick and easy and no result so hoping the past week & today haa got all the chaos out the way for a good result 🫶🏻

Azahar8 · Yesterday 19:17

Agh, so distressing. I feel for you. One of my previous transfers my embryo got stuck in the catheter twice so they only managed the transfer on the third attempt! Glad it all finished well 💛 Wishing you good news from now on🌞

Good morning ladies! Could I please join this thread?

I am having my first ever transfer this coming Thursday… it’s a PGTA tested frozen 5AA!

Fingers crossed for everyone this month xx

Aw it is such a hard decision @Azahar8, I think I'd feel the same. I go between trying to think of all possible future scenarios to "be prepared" and then also tyring to fill my day with things so as to not steal worry from the future.

@OneGladOtter that sounds very wearing - but hurrah for transfer done! I'm also very into Rest is History, currently listening to their mini-series on the Titanic 😅

Hi @BeigeandGreige welcome! Wow that's a great embryo and must be reassuring to have had the testing done xxx

Welcome @BeigeandGreige great starting place for your embie! Good Luck for thursday!!

BeigeandGreige · Today 13:39

@TheMintCrab thank you! It really was! We are very lucky to be in this position, after 4 miscarriages, most of those being chromosome abnormalities and being MMC we couldn’t take the risk and not get them tested.

@OneGladOtter thank you so much xx

Hi!

I started this thread then promptly forgot about it!

In my TWW now, first transfer with a euploid embryo. PCOS and MFI.

Tested negative today at 5dp5dt so trying not to spiral.

Lovely reading all of your stories

Lots of TWWs happening ladies, very exciting! My ET is tomorrow.
I had an ultrasound this morning as last time I had fluid in my womb and it was touch and go if we could go ahead.
I am a little peeved. My right ovary has an endometrioma in it, and since they put me on estrogen tablets I'e developed 3 new cysts in a week! Not great. I hope they reduce as this cycle has felt really tough. High hormones and bloating and pain in my ovary. I can see why people give up, its so draining!
