IVF march 2026

Is anyone planning a fresh cycle in March? It would be lovely to have some cycle buddies to share all the highs and lows of this whole process as we have been pretty private and not told any friends or family. I have been down regulating most of February and finally got the green light to start stims on the 28th with egg retrieval provisionally booked for Friday 13th March. Thankfully I’m not superstitious 😂😂 then planning for a fresh transfer if all goes to plan and we have an embryo 🤞🏼🤞🏼

They certainly do feel massive. I've been getting twinges, pinches and cramps left right and centre. Can't wait for the bloat to calm down, and don't get me started on the progesterone farts... Blush

Greentiles67 · 23/03/2026 08:42

Fresh transfer on Saturday and my ovaries felt huge too- this morning things feel to have settled a bit. So far the progesterone hadn’t given me any boob pain but I couldn’t wait to get my bra off last night 😳 and getting some shooting pains

CrumbleCake98 · 23/03/2026 12:21

Thanks for the kind words @2mumlife and @sunflower1906. Even when you know a drop off is normal (although so far I’m in the bottom end of normal) it’s still so disappointing.

@sunflower1906 I’ve not got as far as transfer yet, but I’m definitely still bloated. They’ve got me taking cabergoline daily which I think is meant to be helping…

I get an update tomorrow I think - they said that it would be to let me know the exact fresh transfer timing (would be sometime on Wednesday) so I assume they’ll tell me at that point if they think there will be anything to transfer. I thought I might get a day 3 update but unfortunately not.

sunflower1906 · 23/03/2026 14:12

Glad it’s not just me, honestly I feel like I’m back on stims again 🙈 everything completely settled a few days after collection and now it’s all reared its ugly head again, literally feel like my body hates me right now for putting all these hormones into it 😩 and leggings and baggy jumpers are my best friend right now 🤣

keep going @CrumbleCake98 weds will be here before you know it, crossing everything that u have something to transfer 🤞🏼

@sunflower1906 I can remember when you had your transfer but I’m 7DP5DT today. Progesterone cramps aside I could feel a sharp stitch depending on my position on the left ovary which was getting really uncomfortable but today is the first day where it seems to have settled and behaving!

I need to catch up with all the posts on the threat but welcome to the new comers and good luck for those triggering awaiting collection and in the wait for transfer. I’m still keeping myself away from the tests although temptation is at its worst at the moment! As my clinic does not do BETA blood tests I figured it would just pro long my wait to viability scan should I get a positive and it would just ruin my week of it was negative so I remain in PUPO state while trying to be cautiously optimistic 😊

2mumlife · 23/03/2026 16:48

@wishinghard2 Id be cautiously optimisitc with the sitch feeling 💛

2mumlife · 23/03/2026 16:50

@CrumbleCake98 Thats hard not getting a day 3 update. I'm feeling anxious just to find out tomorrow what time our transfer will be on Thursday and thats without the whole added anxiety of how embryos are developing

BellaTink647 · 24/03/2026 08:06

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well.

I had my transfer on Friday 20th and this morning have felt a bit bloated and crampy, like my period is coming. Hoping this is implantation but it doesn't feel right that these symptoms are so much like being due on!

LifeOfRiley63 · 24/03/2026 09:05

Hi @BellaTink647, I was Weds 18th and I had all the symptoms of a period coming. It's frustrating isn't it? I'm 6dp5dt and the symptoms have stopped now. I'm praying implantation is complete, just getting really anxious about blood test day on Friday. This week is going to drag so bad.

Miraclemuma03 · 24/03/2026 09:51

@BellaTink647 @LifeOfRiley63 Hopefully those symptoms mean a good implantation has occurred . Having everything xd and sending baby dust.

I have egg retrieval in the morning. Up super early to be at the clinic by 7.30am and with traffic it takes about 2 and half hrs to get there if traffic is good i can shave off nearly 40mins but leaving early anyway just incase. My egg collection is booked in for roughly 9.30, im first on the list but the prep time takes a bit to get started hence why i have to be there so early . Wish me luck for some good eggs. I hoping for 4 at minimum with what my scan showed.

LifeOfRiley63 · 24/03/2026 10:01

@Miraclemuma03Eeek exciting! Best of luck! Hot water bottle for the journey home x

SparklyGreenTiger · 24/03/2026 11:15

Very best of luck @BellaTink647 and @LifeOfRiley63, hoping that those were implementation symptoms and that you get your success.

@Miraclemuma03 hope collection went well and you’re feeling ok now and recover well. Try to get lots of rest today if you can.

It’s Day 5 for me and just two embryos made it. Last time we got two we were thrilled but feel a bit disappointed this time as it was looking good on Day 3. We’re on our way for our first ever fresh transfer. Hoping and praying it works.
Had pre transfer acupuncture before we left and will have post transfer too on the way home and twice during the next two weeks. Will be having the McDs fries for lunch (tradition as much as anything!) but trying to remember if there’s anything else I should be doing to encourage implantation. Any suggestions welcome!

CrumbleCake98 · 24/03/2026 11:50

Thinking of everyone in the various stages of waiting ❤️

Congrats @SparklyGreenTiger. Hope the transfer goes smoothly. I think we can all relate to how disappointing the drop off can feel, but 2 embryos is great!

@Miraclemuma03 hope all went well and you have a restful day planned now!

@2mumlife and @sunflower1906 the wait till day 5 felt very long, but I managed to get a day 4 update. All 5 embryos are still progressing, although the embryologist did say one had some slightly odd early cell division (we’ve got them in a time lapse incubator) so she’s less confident with that one continuing to day 5. But she did sound hopeful that there would be something to transfer tomorrow 🤞

Waitingforday6 · 24/03/2026 12:12

Good luck everyone!!! @Miraclemuma03 we have been orbiting around each other on threads for almost a year now, wishing you all the best!! Driving that distance while not being allowed to eat or drink sounds challenging!
@BellaTink647 and @LifeOfRiley63 I had my TWW last month and on day 3 and 4 post transfer I had quite strong cramps, including down my leg like period cramps. It then settled down after a couple of days. Everyone says it's too early to feel anything but I am convinced it was implantation. I had some spotting on 9dp5dt. In my TWW I sang, laughed a lot, tried to get long walks in every day and ate as nutritiously as possible without going overboard (more in the first week than in the second where more treats found their way back to me). Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!!!

2mumlife · 24/03/2026 14:07

@Miraclemuma03 Hope egg collection goes smoothly!

@SparklyGreenTiger Congratulations on the transfer! My advice would be try to just get on with life as usual :)

@CrumbleCake98 Thats a great day 4 update! Fingers crossed for you tomorrow for lots to freeze

sunflower1906 · 24/03/2026 18:17

@BellaTink647 I've heard so many ppl think they are coming on their period to then get a positive, the similar symptoms really are a cruel mistress!

@Miraclemuma03 best of luck for your collection tomorrow hope it all goes smoothly and you get the expected amount of eggs 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@SparklyGreenTiger congrats on your 2 embryos and having had yr transfer today. I totally understand yr disappointment but great u get one for the freezer too. If this one doesn’t work for us we will be back into another fresh round by June 🙈🙈

@CrumbleCake98 that’s a really good update, I’m very positive you will have something to transfer and hopefully more for the freezer 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Thank you all so so much. You're all so kind and none of us deserve this. I hope we all get our happy endings very very soon xxxx

wishinghard2 · 24/03/2026 20:00

@MocktailMe I am so very sorry. It’s such an awful cruel process. My partner had a chemical on her first round and it’s very hard to understand and process. For a long time we questioned what we had done, if our walk was too long on the day it happened or should we have done things differently. It took a while for us to accept that actually, it was nothing we did or didn’t do so I just wanted ti message and say I hope you are being kind to yourself and have the support around you. Thinking of you.
