Is anyone planning a fresh cycle in March? It would be lovely to have some cycle buddies to share all the highs and lows of this whole process as we have been pretty private and not told any friends or family. I have been down regulating most of February and finally got the green light to start stims on the 28th with egg retrieval provisionally booked for Friday 13th March. Thankfully I’m not superstitious 😂😂 then planning for a fresh transfer if all goes to plan and we have an embryo 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@sunflower1906 that must be so hard hearing thise things from your friends. People really just dont understand the impact of their words. I hope this is your cycle.

Last day on the pill today, thank god for that.

CrumbleCake98 · 09/03/2026 09:34

Another first timer here!

Today is day 3 of stims for me - no side effects yet which I know I should be grateful for… but part of me wouldn’t mind something to give me a bit of reassurance that my body is responding.

Sorry to hear that some of you have been on long journeys! Hoping for a lucky cycle for us all 🤞

I felt the same way on day three worrying about lack of symptoms and then honestly it was like flipping a switch day 4 onwards I was sooo heavy and bloated etc. Day three (in the morning still especially) is early. Everyone is different too. Keep a hot water bottle handy for a few days yet :D

Waitingforday6 · 09/03/2026 10:23

@CrumbleCake98 I second what @MocktailMe says, I ended up with a lot of eggs and a freeze all due to risk of OHSS and even then I didn't really feel anything until over a week into stims. I had the same worry that it meant nothing was happening but that is not the case!!

CrumbleCake98 · 09/03/2026 10:35

Thanks @MocktailMe @Waitingforday6 - that’s reassuring to hear it’s not just me! They’ve also said I’m at risk of OHSS so are being careful (but not too careful hopefully) about what doses they’ve put me on.

how are you both doing today?

sunflower1906 · 09/03/2026 14:38

Welcome @CrumbleCake98 i didn’t get symptoms till day 6 of stims, currently day 10 and egg collection is now defiantly this Friday 😱😱 and I’ve got to reduce my stims over the next 2 days which I’m glad about as I’m soooooo uncomfortable and boobs r killing me 😂😂 I was on 300 Menopur then reduce to 150 today then 75 tomorrow.

how does yr protocol look?

xx

Hi all, I hope you are all doing well on your stims and getting through the day. Can I join this group please?

Same sex couple on our 5th egg retrieval (my second) no children. Partner had 3 collections all resulting in day 3 transfers, none frozen resulting in 1 chemical. She had low AMH.

In December I had my first retrieval, resulted in X3 embryos frozen, purely because on the day I was meant to transfer the clinic called and there was an issue with the doner sperm so transfer could not go ahead and had to have a freeze all while they investigated it so we opted for our last retrieval using a different doner as the process can take 6 months.

Had my 3rd scan today and collection booked in for Wednesday so will be doing a dual trigger tonight.

Thats pretty much our story! Hoping for some good numbers come Wednesday/thursday.

good luck everyone! I’m so bloated I feel like I could pop 😊

You might start noticing some changes around day 5 to 7. How many days will you be on stims

Miraclemuma03 · 09/03/2026 22:37

Im a little bit worried about my stims protocol. Im on quite a short stim cycle. 9 days of stims but my meds have been increased. We have already had a failed cycle and im worried thats going to happen again.

sunflower1906 · 10/03/2026 10:28

@Miraclemuma03 completely understand why why you are worried particularly after a failed cycle, have they changed much to increase your success? Would they extend your stims protocol if u need more than 9 days? I’m not an expert but only 9 days feels quite short. I think most clinics like 10-12 days on stims 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe speak to your clinic and see what their plan is as it might help you relax a bit more knowing if they have some sort of contingency plan xx

Your

CrumbleCake98 · 10/03/2026 10:55

@sunflower1906 you’re exactly a week ahead of me then! Hopefully the next couple of days are a bit more comfortable - not long to go! I’m on 187.5 menopur - is it just me or does it really sting as it goes on! Got my first scan since starting stims tomorrow morning to see how things are progressing.

@Miraclemuma03 they’ve not told me how many days yet, I guess I might get an indication tomorrow. I think they wait and see how fast the follicles are growing and base it on that.

I'm definitely feeling a bit uncomfy sat at my desk today - looking forward to spending my evening horizontal on the sofa!

2mumlife · 10/03/2026 13:07

ooo lots of activity :) just catching up.

@sunflower1906 Sorry to hear you had such awful OHSS last time. Hopefully they can take a less aggressive approach and avoid that this time and make the whole process more comfortable. Wow egg collection is coming up so soon for you!

@MocktailMe I'm so sorry to hear of your losses. What an amazing result though getting 9 embryos! I always found FETs so much easier than stim cycles. I never really found the FET meds that bad to be honest!

@Tinkerbell098 Hope this round allows you to add to your family 💛

@Miraclemuma03 The left over embryo thing is probably my biggest thing against doing any more egg collections. I think if we ever did have a chance of heart if this didn't work I'd try IUI again even though it didn't work previously, as we do actually still have a bit of our donors sperm left frozen.

@CrumbleCake98 To be honest I never felt much on stims, I think it does vary a lot.

@wishinghard2 Fellow same sex couple here. You've really been put through your paces with all those egg collections so far. I've heard of donor issues before, I think its really challenging to have to navigate. Hopefully this is the cycle that brings you success.

My update - meds arrived yesterday and called clinic to say no period yet, so was booked in for a blood test today to check whats going on to see whether I should start norethisterone. But aunt flow came with gusto this morning, so I get to skip the norethesterone (and paid for meds I dont need but heyho) so I'm starting Estradiol and Ovamex tomorrow! first scan next Friday which will be interesting as we're on a (local, only 2 hours away) holiday next week, leaving Friday morning, so we're going to need to come home via the fertility clinic 😂

I'm happy my period came, I feel much happier starting with my natural period than needing to induce a bleed. I need to set reminders on my phone for all the meds as im 4 times a day on estradiol.

I've not told anyone we're doing a transfer, though a couple friends know we've been considering it.

Tinkerbell098 · 10/03/2026 23:09

@sunflower1906 how did you first monitoring scan go? I’m still on 450 menopur. Hoping to trigger tomorrow night if all goes well at the scan tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

hope everyone is ok and sending positive vibes to all you lovely people Xx

sunflower1906 · 11/03/2026 07:40

@Tinkerbell098 hope yr scan goes well today and u get to trigger tonight 🤞🏼 my scan on Monday sent me into a bit of a tailspin as the nurse scanning me said I might be ready to trigger that night so went into panic mode as was not expecting it but they decided to reduce my stims instead and I’m triggering tonight for collection on Friday. I’m hoping this is because they want the best possible outcome for me and not to just stick to their schedule but god I’m next level uncomfortable today 😩😩

@sunflower1906 Wishing you luck for Friday! @Tinkerbell098 good luck for scan

Tinkerbell098 · 11/03/2026 11:31

@2mumlife thank you X

@sunflower1906 how many follicles did you have in the right range for trigger? Just need to trust the experts I guess. I know my first round over three years ago, I triggered early and I was panicking too but it gave me my daughter. Last round a few months ago, was the opposite as I stimulated for two extra days than planned. I just need to trust the system. Had a scan this morning and all ok to trigger tonight. Just waiting on a call to confirm the time. A bit disappointed as I’ve only got 7 follicles. They only found one on my left. Has anyone else experienced this? Seems only one side responded to the stims this time.

CrumbleCake98 · 11/03/2026 17:30

So I had my first scan - not sure quite how it went - the nurses don’t seem to give much away

I had about 10 follicles on my right ovary between around 6-12mm, then a few more that were still tiny.

@Tinkerbell098 - not quite the same as you but my left ovary decided to hide so they couldn’t really see what was going on.

the clinic have since called and said I need to lower my dose because my estrogen levels were higher than they wanted. Has this happened to anyone else before?

The nurse said 3 follicles over 17mm is usually their guideline for trigger which I had but then also a lot more around 12-16 mm too so she did say it might be a difficult decision. No idea how many though as I just started spiralling and don’t take anything else in 🙈 I’m pretty sure I’ve more one side than the other too, I guess it’s just how our bodies react sometimes. 7 is a great number and there might also be one or 2 hiding aswell … we just won’t know until actual collection … my trigger isn’t till 10.45 tonight way pass my usual bedtime I’ve set 3 alarms just incase 😂😂

OP posts:
sunflower1906 · 11/03/2026 19:46

@CrumbleCake98 sounds like you are responding well to the stims which is great news! Mine don’t check oestrogen level prior but I’m pretty sure it would be to determine if u are at risk of OHSS as high oestrogen higher risk. Are you planning a fresh transfer? Xx

OP posts:
Tinkerbell098 · 11/03/2026 22:21

@CrumbleCake98 don't worry about adjusting the dose, as they have done that to me in the past too. That’s a great follicle number.

@sunflower1906 happy trigger day! Good luck with the injection. Mine was at 9.30 pm. A little sense of relief that I get a few days without injections.

Miraclemuma03 · 12/03/2026 07:31

So I rang my clinic with my concerns and the nurse said my last stim cycle was 12 days . They have increased the meds which will grow the follicles faster and hoping for a couple more follicles she said it sort of works out the same as if I was on a lower dose for a couple days longer but are hoping for a better round if all that makes sense. Out of all the years iv been with my clinic they have never lead me astray so im going to put all my trust Into them and try not to worry and go with the flow

sunflower1906 · 12/03/2026 09:00

lol @Tinkerbell098 i was literally thinking thank god no injections for a day 😂😂 unfortunately il then have 2 as will be on lubion and clexane. One side of my tummy is so bruised but the other is normal so weird … so might inject both into the one side while the other side recovers

@Miraclemuma03 so glad u spoke to your clinic sometimes understanding their reasoning behind it all can really put your mind to rest and it sounds like they are trying to get the best outcome for you too 🤞🏼 really hope it works for u 🤞🏼

Hi everyone.

it sounds like a few people are getting ready to trigger or just triggered. I wondered what people have for their trigger shots?

My collection was yesterday and it went well. It was under general anaesthetic as I have blood pressure issues and I was out of it for most of yesterday as I never do well with anaesthetics. But I’m feeling a bit more human again now.

We got 11 eggs, 10 mature and 9 fertilised which I am over the moon with as the last cycle we got 9 eggs but only 4 were mature. Now we are keeping everything crossed for Mondays transfer.

I’m feeling quite sore a tender today but hoping it will pass this evening.
