February FET 2026

Thought I’d set up a chat for anyone due to have a FET in February 2026 😊

We’re doing ICSI due to severe MFI. We are doing our third transfer next month after a failed fresh and chemical from a FET. This is also our last embryo before having to start allllll over again 🫠 my period arrived later this afternoon so tomorrow is my CD1 then full steam ahead. This time I’m doing a modified natural (adding in a trigger), adding in clexane and the same as last time having Lubion and Cyclogest.

Is anyone else on a similar timeline? We could trauma bond over the turmoil we’re about to put ourselves through 😂

Please can I join? Technically my FET is the 31st Jan, but I feel quite behind everyone in the January chat (some of them already getting positive tests) and need people to pass the time during the waiting game which will mostly be in Feb.

This will be my 3rd FET so I'm terrified of it failing as it was hard enough when the first two failed. I'll really start panicking that something is wrong with me if this one doesn't work.

My embryos are untested. If this one fails I don't know whether to pay to get the remaining ones tested so we know if it's an embryo issue or a womb issue. I am very lucky to have got 8 total, 6 remaining including this transfer.

Hey @Klmno my FET is on the 30th so we’re FET neighbours ♥️ so sorry to hear about your 2 failed transfers. I got 17 eggs but only 2 blasts in my fist ICSI round last year (untested). Transferred the day 5 in July and it ended in missed miscarriage around 6 weeks. Transferring my last embryo on Friday, which is a day 6. Fingers crossed for us both and good luck to everyone here ♥️ it’s such a tough process isn’t it xx

MocktailMe · 28/01/2026 21:20

Oh I am so so sorry. I know we all want our transfers to work and so obviously it is for the best it's cancelled, but I know that knowledge wouldn't make me feel any better. So much of infertility is the endless waiting and stop starts and it really is so so cruel and unfair. I am really hopeful you'll be able to go again next cycle and this will have resolved itself, everything crossed for you x

Klmno · 28/01/2026 22:44

@GamerGirl09 ah that's great we are transfer buddies! When are you planning on testing? So sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

So sorry @YourLilacLibra that is so so frustrating. All the emotional build up towards a transfer and then to feel like you're not able to make progress.

RavenWillow · 29/01/2026 08:45

Really sorry to hear that @YourLilacLibra. I guess it's for the best that everything is good for transfer as don't want to waste embryos but must be so frustrating 😞

I had my day 10 (actually day 11) scan on Monday and will be starting progesterone 3x a day on Saturday for transfer on Thursday 5th. Don't really know what to expect as this is my first. Didn't have a fresh transfer either due to moderate/severe OHSS.

Progesterone is what our bodies make naturally both at the end of the cycle before a period comes (in case there is a pregnancy to support) and in early pregnancy (to support before the placenta takes over).

So unfortunately when we take it as pessaries/injections etc we are basically inserting PMS into ourselves 😂 so expect to be quite weepy and emotional (at least, if that's usually how PMS gets you - maybe it will be irritable and angry instead!).

The actual transfer itself is very unpleasant IMO but manageable. I tried to just remember to breathe and relax as much as is possible, and the good part is it doesn't last very long and then the catheter comes out again - hurray!

The process to create the embryos is much physically worse than the process of putting them back in, I think most people would agree with that.

Sunnydaysahead1 · 29/01/2026 14:10

@YourLilacLibra I’m so sorry to hear this ❤️ it’s absolutely crushing, especially when you’ve already got part of the way through the cycle. This has happened to me pretty much every egg retrieval and FET cycle, I always have some kind of cyst/collapsing cyst on my baseline scans, so each time I have to have a blood test to check if it’s producing hormones - on one occasion it was and the cycle was cancelled, which really upset me so I really feel for you. I would definitely push for a baseline scan on day 2 or 3 in future cycles as you can then have a blood test to see if the cyst is producing hormones or not.

Fingers crossed it clears up soon so
you can start again next cycle! After my cancelled cycle due to the cyst that was producing hormones, I used Jamaican castor oil on my abdomen religiously every night. I have no idea if it was really this that made the cyst go away, and I’m not sure if there’s any scientific evidence, but anecdotally it’s meant to be good for reducing inflammation etc. Just in case that’s helpful for you ❤️

RavenWillow · 30/01/2026 08:15

@MocktailMe thank you for the experience.
Im not looking forward to the progesterone I have to say.. I've managed fine with the oestrogen so far had no symptoms but don't think I will be so lucky with the progesterone.
I am quite nervous for the transfer, hate speculums! Less than a week until I found out for myself now I guess.

Thanks so much ♥️ last transfer I got a positive 5 days after transfer, that was a day 5 embryo though and this is a day 6 so don’t know if timelines will be the same but will likely start testing day 5. Not holding out too much hope this time round though, guarding my heart!

Good luck for tomorrow 🤞🏼 xx

21RsMama · 30/01/2026 11:21

I have my transfer tomoz! 😬 Relatively chilled as I know now what to expect and it was sore or too uncomfortable last time! On my last transfer I started testing maybe day 5 or 6 and I did get positives however after about day 10/12 they were getting lighter again. I found it so so hard battling the 'it's positive yay' then 'oh it's not getting darker' so I think this time I'll do my first day on day 10-12 so it would hopefully be a good positive or faint enough Id know not to get my hopes up too much!

The TWW is easily the hardest part of the whole experience isn't it? 😭

Sunnydaysahead1 · 30/01/2026 18:13

@21RsMama Best of luck with your transfer tomorrow! Will you be having fries after? 😄
The TWW is definitely the worst, but we can all get through this together! Do you have any nice plans during it?

My transfer is next Friday so I’ll be a week behind you

Sunnydaysahead1 · 30/01/2026 18:14

Oh and good luck to @GamerGirl09 and @Klmno too! How are you both doing? ❤️

RavenWillow · 30/01/2026 18:42

Good luck @21RsMama, hope all goes well.
Im more on your timeline @Sunnydaysahead1 as mine is on Thursday. Is this your first one?

21RsMama · 30/01/2026 21:16

Thanks all ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Klmno · 30/01/2026 21:18

Thanks for the good luck!

I don't feel nervous about transfer (although will be great if all goes smoothly), I'm nervous about the waiting game after. Eek!

Going for a burger and chips at the pub after though (not quite macdonalds fries but very similar haha)

GamerGirl09 · 31/01/2026 02:23

Good luck tomorrow @Klmnoand @21RsMama♥️

Thank you @Sunnydaysahead1! First 2 transfer hurdles done - embryo thawed okay and transfer went okay 🤣 Now on to one of the worst parts, the 2WW 😬 Good luck everyone whatever stage you’re at, it’s a tough tough process and we’ve all done so well to get to wherever we are 💪 We’ve got this xx

Hey! Glad the transfer went smoothly!! Hope you have a nice chill day today xx

Sunnydaysahead1 · 31/01/2026 10:33

@RavenWillow oh that’s nice to be on a similar timeline, how are you feeling at the moment? I’m due to start my progesterone pessaries tomorrow. No sadly this is my 5th transfer, so I’m feeling a mix of numb/terrified 😅 how about you?

@Klmno enjoy the burger and fries! I hope all goes well with the transfer ❤️

@GamerGirl09 great to hear all went well, are you doing anything nice to help you through the tww? How are you feeling today?

Klmno · 31/01/2026 12:49

Just got back from my transfer.
It was actually the worst bit of the entirety of IVF for me (well, apart from the negative tests). I am just really not good at timings with filling my bladder and it was too full, they were 15 mins late and I was in agony (I was crying in the waiting room as I was so panicked about not being able to cope with the procedure and not wet myself, my partner didn't know what to do with me, he was like 'let's try some deep breathing' hahaha. I never cry about physical stuff so he was a bit surprised as he sees me as a tough cookie 🍪). Anyway I was like I can't do this, I need to empty it a bit, was crying then that I was going to ruin it all....but luckily managed to do a partial empty and when I had the scan they said it was still really full. Thank goodness I let some out! I was still super uncomfortable during the procedure.

Anyway the good thing is the embryo thawed fine and transferred okay so phew! But it wasn't nice at all.

Hopefully everyone else having transfers will have a better experience than me, I would recommend practicing what works for you! (Although two of my three transfers they've been running late so it was hard to time anyway)

GamerGirl09 · 31/01/2026 14:38

@Sunnydaysahead1 honestly, nope! I’ve been trying to protect my heart right from the off with this one, really trying to just proceed as normal and chill. Had maccies fries yest after the transfer, today just been chilling! Made some nice healthy lunches, going for my post-FET acupuncture in a few hours. Actually, we bought some Lego to do together tonight and tomorrow which we ended up doing a lot of when going through the miscarriage last time but in a weird way that kinda helped ykno just brainless stuff that keeps the focus and doing stuff together as a couple ♥️ do you have any plans for after your transfer?

GamerGirl09 · 31/01/2026 14:40

@Klmnoso sorry you had a bad time 😫 I was actually moaning to my husband about that on the day - like how much do you drink to get a ‘comfortably full’ bladder and not feel like you’re gonna pee yourself? And it’s this kind of thing that people don’t really talk about but just another ‘look what we have to do / think about that ‘normal’ pregnancies don’t’ 🙄 Hope you’re okay now it’s all done xx

Klmno · 31/01/2026 15:58

@GamerGirl09 love the idea of doing some Lego. We made a Lego Christmas tree in Dec (couldn't get a real one as our dog would totally try and eat the branches, she loves a stick!) and it was a lovely way to switch off. I love board games and jigsaws too, anything to make my mind focused on something else.
My current distraction is 'Sort your life out' style decluttering and packing as moving house soon.

Yeah I'm still recovering from how horrible the transfer was, seriously, that was NOT a pleasant way to get pregnant 😂 And like you say just a far cry from normality...all this stressful, undignified and painful shit we have to go through... obviously worth it if we get the result we want but if we do I'll be telling my child what they put me through for sure and the fact that I was so scared I was going to wee all over the embryo 😜 It doesn't help that my first transfer I thought my bladder was super full but they struggled to get the catheter in (used 3 types) and said it wasn't full enough, so I think I overcompensated today!

21RsMama · 31/01/2026 16:26

@Klmno oh man! What even is a comfortably full bladder 🤣 like you need a pee or you don't and the anxiety before the procedure makes you need even more! I tried to half empty today and I honestly couldn't stop 🤣 I drank a huge water bottle right after and when we got in she said it wasn't too clear but thankfully they could see everything 😬

I feel so weird after a transfer.... Like do I lay down and watch a movie ... But moving is good as it helps blood flow... But I can't move toooo much.... Its just such a weird place to be. I want to go a walk but my tummy feels a tad uncomfortable!

Lego sounds like a great idea, deffo keeps you mind from wandering! Xx

Klmno · 31/01/2026 18:33

Thanks for the sympathy ladies, nice to know people get it! I'm usually pretty stoic when it comes to physical procedures/pain etc. it really threw me! When they put the scanner on straight away the nurse was like 'oh you DO have a full bladder' haha.

I feel weird too @21RsMama . First transfer I took the week off work and it failed, second transfer I worked some of it and went on quite an active walking holiday for some of it and it failed too, this one my strategy is still working (quite a stressful job) but being totally lazy on my days off.

When are you planning on testing?

frenchgal · 31/01/2026 19:09

Hi! Can I join. I am having natural FET, had my day 3 scan today. What are you all doing for distraction ? I am starting latest season of bridgerton lol

RavenWillow · 31/01/2026 21:13

@Sunnydaysahead1 I started the pessaries today, so far they aren't as bad as I was expecting. Your 5th, I wish you all the luck. Is it easier knowing what to expect or worse?
@GamerGirl09 pleased your transfer went well, lego sounds like a brilliant idea! I have a dancing Groot to make so that may be a plan post transfer :)
@21RsMama hope everything went well and you can relax a bit.
@Klmno I'm really sorry your transfer was so uncomfortable and are feeling better now.

I really don't know what to expect from transfer. I felt really chill about it and was more concerned about egg collection but the closer it is getting the more panicked I feel. Im just worried it is going to be painful and difficult to get done.
