Thought I would start a thread as can't see one already
Anyone in the same boat who'd like to chat?
It's our first round. Likely to need a freeze all which I'm quite disappointed about as means won't even transfer until Nov.
I'm on short protocol.
Feeling pretty fed up ATM tbh, partly because it's come to this but also just want to get going, currently just waiting for my period early sept and feels like my life is on hold until then!

Hope everyone is well. It’s OTD for me and BFN💔 I’ve 2 in the freezer that I’ve never managed to get before. Doubt they will work either.

good luck everyone xx

So sorry to read this. There is every chance one of the two in the freezer will stick, they’re a new embryo with a new shot. Sending you a big hug 🫂

Klmno · 03/10/2025 12:21

Oh 100% @pastelheart even with the freeze all I felt really grim, I think I would almost certainly have had ohss if I'd transferred and got pregnant. I think I had a mild case of it as it is (though not certain of that as just felt nauseous rather than bloated).

@AnonTTC and @BellaTink647 I think I'd feel better about the wait if I had a plan but annoyingly they cancelled my follow-up which was meant to be next week and it's now in 3 weeks. Just feel a bit all at sea and don't know what to expect. Which I do find a bit annoying that they couldn't give me more info about the process, even written info, as I'm paying them thousands of pounds for the process. But maybe that's a bit of a moany/entitled attitude to have haha

@boberto88 I'm so sorry. Really hoping for one of the other two being successful but can understand the disappointment must be so crushing, there is so much hope pinned on each embryo isn't there.

Ahh I totally hear you @Klmno .. it's the limbo that is hard. I think if I had a set 'plan' like you say I'd at least know definite timings, even if it was for early next year I could just put it to the back of my mind for a bit knowing when it was going to happen. I'm in a similar boat to you where I am waiting for my follow up, which was supposed to be next month (!!) but I contacted my clinic and was like what if I come on a period before then, seems like a waste of a cycle? So luckily they have bumped it forward for me. From what I understand the follow up is to do ID checks, run through medication and give it to you for when you start your next cycle, then once you do it's all systems go!! So hopefully the wait won't be too long for you ❤️

Can't remember if I mentioned already (and I'm sure there's someone else in Manchester on this thread?) but my clinic announced JUST before my egg collection that they were closing from October-mid Jan for renovations, so they're having to transfer anybody who wants to be seen in that period to other hospitals, which just adds a whole other spanner in the works as we're now having to wait for MORE updates on if that's do-able and when. Just typical isn't it? This process loves to test our patience 🤣 Honestly I feel like when we do finally get a child I'll be almost horizontal after learning to cope with so much uncertainty haha.

What clinic are you with? Xx

AnonTTC · 03/10/2025 15:10

Hi @boberto88 , I'm with St Mary's Manchester.

Also, apologies I didn't see your earlier note. So sorry to hear this time hasn't been successful for you, but great you have 2 embryos in the freezer and keeping everything crossed for you that one of those sticks!! I had a friend who only got 2 embryos in total and her second one stuck and is now her little baby so don't loose hope ❤️ xx

Tinkerbell098 · 06/10/2025 10:29

Hi all, today was meant to be my trigger day with EC planned for Wednesday. I’ve been for a scan this morning and 4 follicles are now overgrown, and none in the 18-20 mm bracket. The rest are in the 12-14 and 15-17 brackets so they’re stimming me for another couple of days at a lower dose of menopur (187.5). I really hope the rest won’t overgrow in the next couple of days 😟 has anyone had a similar experience?

babycoconut · 06/10/2025 21:13

@Tinkerbell098 sorry, don’t know the answer to this but good luck with your EC ❤️

Sorry I have been so MIA. I tested positive 5 days after transfer but was extremely anxious due to my chemical in July. Lines are looking solid now so fingers and toes crossed this one keeps growing. I am beyond anxious so really need to have a word with myself! Hope everyone else is doing okay

Backtotheicsi · 07/10/2025 07:21

@Tinkerbell098 sorry no experience of this but I have everything crossed for you!

@babycoconut congratulations! One day at a time, it’s so hard isn’t it. It took me a while to realise we made it past the chemical risk but it’s got no easier unfortunately and it’s awful as we are some of the lucky ones! But your feelings are valid and no one knows how they would feel after experiences like that. Fingers crossed for you have you told clinic yet? Do you have a scan date? I’m going in today, anxiety is at an all time high trying to keep a top on it xxx

babycoconut · 07/10/2025 22:07

@Backtotheicsi thank you so much. 🤍 I feel so glad I’ve made it past chemical stage but don’t think I’ll relax any until I see something on a scan. Have booked one at a private clinic for 7+1. Not travelling to fertility clinic for it as it’s 3.5hrs (one way) away. How did yours go today? 🤞🏼

Klmno · 09/10/2025 22:14

@babycoconut aww congratulations that's wonderful news!!

@Backtotheicsi hope your scan was all good!

pastelheart · 10/10/2025 23:08

Hi everyone! How are we all?

congrats @babycoconut 🩷

@Backtotheicsi how did your scan go?

have we got any dates for FET for anyone who had freeze all yet?

sorry I have been quiet, not particular reason, everything seems to be going well atm. I have my scan on 22nd October where I will be almost 8 weeks. So hopefully that goes well.

I haven’t built up the courage to join any of the pregnancy groups on here yet… it feels too strange moving away from this side of the board so I don’t know if I will lol the anxiety is too much.

I also hope that anyone who had a cycle last month that didn’t go as planned is okay too. Would be lovely to hear from you 🩷🩷🩷

Backtotheicsi · 11/10/2025 09:03

@pastelheart hey glad everything is moving in the right direction!
scan was a mixed bag, baby is there in the right place and it’s a great heartbeat which was amazing news but clouded by the fact she said I was measuring 6 weeks 4 days and I was actually 7 weeks. She offered me a rescan for this coming Tuesday because I was so concerned but said she wasn’t concerned as baby is so small measurements can’t be all over the place. I got confirmation information from my clinic they they are noting this as a viable pregnancy so fingers crossed. I’ll update on Tuesday when I should be 8 weeks so hopefully baby has grown significantly at least.
I feel awful for talking about it for fear it coming across as moaning when others haven’t been as lucky to get a positive but the fear moves forward unfortunately at each step.
work have decided I can’t work in my additional needs hub anymore so I’ll be moving class Tuesday afternoon if the scan goes well (teacher training Monday) feel like I’m causing such a fuss! xx

firststeps124 · 15/10/2025 06:53

Morning ladies. I did get a positive test so would be 6+1 today however I did a clear blue digital this morning and it’s dropped from 2-3 weeks to 1-2 so I’m panicking now! I am going to contact the clinic and see what they say. I feel gutted!

Backtotheicsi · 15/10/2025 07:14

@firststeps124 have you got a scan booked in? I don’t trust those digitals at all. Maybe they could bring you in early to see if there’s a sac/ yolk sac formed? Not sure you’d be able to see baby that early but it would be something. I know most private companies won’t scan until 7 weeks near me. Fingers crossed for you! Xx

firststeps124 · 15/10/2025 07:48

@Backtotheicsiyes I have a early scan booked tomorrow anyway as I am supposed to be going away Friday so they booked it for tomorrow even though it might be too early but said they would also scan when I get back at 8wks. Thank you wish I hadn’t have tested now 🫤 I’ll keep you updated. Hope you are feeling ok xx

Backtotheicsi · 15/10/2025 07:53

@firststeps124 thats brilliant news that you’ve got a scan I’m sorry you have to wait for tomorrow the wait is awful when you’re worried! I’ll keep everything crossed for you for tomorrow! Xxx

pastelheart · 15/10/2025 08:26

@Backtotheicsi sorry I missed your reply. How was your scan yesterday? I hope it went well xx

@firststeps124 there are so many variables to pregnancy tests, the biggest is urine concentration so maybe your urine just wasn’t as concentrated on the latest test? I hope your scan goes okay tomorrow xx

firststeps124 · 15/10/2025 08:30

@Backtotheicsi@pastelheart thank you both I’ll keep you updated xx

firststeps124 · 15/10/2025 10:12

I have just done another test with more diluted wee and it says 2-3 again 🤷🏼‍♀️ glad I have got my scan in the morning to put my mind at rest!

pastelheart · 15/10/2025 10:51

@firststeps124 honestly, when I had OHSS it obviously effected my urine concentration so I was getting really dark tests, once I was feeling better and my urine was back to normal I did a FRER and it was really really light and I worried too. But all my tests have been dark since and I got a 3+ too so it’s just really variable

I am don’t sleep well anyway so I can’t do morning urine as I use the toilet about 60 times in the night lol, so I do them at random times of the day so again… variable 😂 what time is your scan tomorrow?

firststeps124 · 15/10/2025 11:32

@pastelheartyes I started googling and apparently it can be something called hook effect which can sometimes change the test outcome depending on your hcg concentration so sometimes diluted is better? God knows! My scan is 11am tomorrow but I am conscious I’m still super early so might not see much even if everything is ok. Gosh the anxiety is never ending!!!

Backtotheicsi · 15/10/2025 17:27

@pastelheart scan went amazing, all caught up measuring at due date was amazing saw heartbeat and they had a little wriggle while we were watching it we so special!

when is your scan? Xx

Tinkerbell098 · 16/10/2025 08:46

@Backtotheicsi aww how amazing. Glad the scan went well and you can relax now. The worry never ends does it?

@firststeps124 all the best for the scan today. Yes the pregnancy tests stop working after a certain point as the hCG is so high!

I had my transfer yesterday. They transferred 2 blasts as they were low quality (3CC). Just waiting for OTD now (if I last that long!).

firststeps124 · 16/10/2025 09:13

@Tinkerbell098amazing news let us know how you get on! Xx
