@babycoconut I'm a newbie on here so haven't been communicating with you from the start but just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and I know how tough this all is from past experiences. Hope today was ok.

Sara237 · 16/07/2025 22:07

@magpie234 Yep, heard that often. As well as, "when are you having another?" and "Haven't you left it a long while?" Not forgetting, "Lots of women have babies in their 50s...don't stop trying..."
Urgh, why?!
That's good news you're starting soon. I'm preferring being on the drugs but have a feeling this isn't going to work this month and I won't get to FET. Maybe it's the self-preservation others have mentioned. Hopefully you'll get started soon!

Sara237 · 16/07/2025 22:08

Not being on the drugs I mean 😂

waitingforourmiracle · 17/07/2025 11:06

@Sara237 @magpie234 "stop thinking about it and it will happen" is my favourite!!! Wish I'd of thought about that before spending 15K 😂

I've been for bloods this morning so hopefully no issues there and I'm booked in for transfer for tomorrow afternoon, still doesn't feel real yet that I'm going again!

Thanks for all the well wishes. My HCG dropped to 10 so I’m out sadly 😢 hopefully will be able to do a new cycle soon but need to focus on my little ones birthday this weekend. Wishing you all the best ❤️❤️

FancyGoose · 17/07/2025 12:01

@babycoconut I'm really sorry to hear that, hope you're doing as okay as you can in these circumstances. Life is so cruel sometimes.

I'm 7dp5dt and have some brown spotting. I'm absolutely freaking out now that my period is starting. It would be early for me but obviously your cycle is all messed up from the drugs anyway. Clinic said not to worry and it could be implantation bleeding or a hematoma and not to panic yet but it's hard not to. I had some cramping and yday my back was aching which are always signs my period is on its way as well so just feel like I'm out 😭😭

Try not to worry, I believe brown spotting is good. Red blood can be a concern. I definitely had brown spotting when I conceived my son. 🤞🏼 it was like coffee grounds iirc x

waitingforourmiracle · 17/07/2025 12:17

@babycoconut I'm sorry 💕 sending you lots of love, like I said, it's so unfair!

@FancyGoose I know it's so easy for me to say at this stage but please try not to worry, there are so many different signs/symptoms that could mean a number of different things, I also had brown spotting from my transfer last year and I believe that was implantation, fingers crossed for you!

@magpie234 the photos and videos of everything sounds great! Wish I’d started properly documenting sooner.

@waitingforourmiracle I haven’t documented on social media, no. But been pretty open about doing IVF with people. Not told many people about the transfer date though! Aarghhh how exciting it’s tomorrow afternoon!!! All the luck! ♥️🤞🏼

@SparklyMintBeaker good luck for your scan tomorrow 🤞🏼 I had nausea and headaches when I started the oestrogen tablets (Progynova) but no massive symptoms from the progesterone capsules im on (Utrogestan) except maybe some very very mild cramps, and today I feel a little nauseous but not bad and getting full quickly. Everyone’s different though :)

@worldwidetravel2017 really happy to hear your scan went okay and hope the haematoma resolves itself soon ♥️

@Sara237 oh god that sounds v confusing. Hope all works out this cycle and you get to FET quickly ♥️ and to add to the tips for others on what not to say - ‘have you guys decided you don’t want kids then’, ‘oh so and so on instagram are doing ivf too, they’ve got a bajillion eggs so they’ve got 99 in the freezer’ 🙄 and seconding ‘ah well you can always adopt’ (that came from my sister), ‘remember first pregnancies usually end in miscarriage (from my mum) and ‘if you eat lots of berries and drink lots of cranberry juice that will double your chances’ (from my MIL after telling her they found nothing wrong with me but we have v mild male factor 🙄). A couple of years ago someone I’d not spoken to since leaving high school messaged me out of the blue saying ‘I know we’ve not spoken in ages but would be lovely to catch up I’ve just found out I’m pregnant’ - like wtf??? Also a couple of years back, a best friend of mine found out they were pregnant with their first in the first month of trying (they’d previously said I’m coming off my pill this month cos I’m a teacher so getting pregnant now will mean I give birth on August which is perfect for taking maternity!!!!!!! …..aaaaand of course it worked out that way) anyway, they were literally only a few weeks pregnant, hadnt told anyone and I went round and she made it obvious they were now drinking caffeine free coke and laid on the sofa rubbing her belly the whole time… like I went home and called it weeks before she announced it - and they knew what we were going through. God sorry this has turned into a rant 🤣🤣🤣

@babycoconut so so so so so sorry to hear this ♥️ wishing you all the best in preparation for your next cycle and enjoy this weekend xx

@FancyGoose still quite early, really hoping you’re not out yet. Doesn’t seem like the clinic is worried so try to relax (easier said than done I know), maybe try some breathing exercises/meditation (I find that calms me), protect your heart but it’s not over until it’s over ♥️ like babycoconut said brown can be good 🤞🏼♥️

waitingforourmiracle · 17/07/2025 13:25

@GamerGirl09 you rant girl, get it out 😂I always try and give people the benefit of the doubt and think they clearly don't understand what they are saying or doing but in the back of my mind I'm thinking "please shut up" 😆

magpie234 · 17/07/2025 13:31

@GamerGirl09 That story about your friend who sat there rubbing her tummy loads nearly made me gag 🤢

@babycoconut Bleurgh I am also really very sorry to hear this - how horrible. I hope you can take some time to look after yourself and grieve and recover.

@FancyGoose This is stressful but hopefully not a clear indicator of you being out just yet given some breakthrough spotting can occur for multiple reasons? Shall keep everything crossed for you!

FlatWhiteAnyone · 17/07/2025 13:50

Hi all, sorry for being quiet, my scan is only next Tuesday to see how lining is doing, so no updates from my side.

@babycoconut oh sending hugs, life is harsh, and this infertility process full of heartaches 😔 Really hope next cycle is a successful one!

@FancyGoose- you are not out, hopefully there’s another reason for it, sorry for the stress you are going through

Regarding comments, we are now either fully dismissed that we potentially could even think expanding the family, or just “you are lucky guys you are fully done by now” 😅

FancyGoose · 17/07/2025 14:52

Thank you ladies, really appreciate the support. Just have to pray it doesn't get any worse and it's just spotting rather than the beginning of my period. Very stressful but it helps having a group of people who get it 🙂 hope everyone else is doing okay too.

GamerGirl09 · 17/07/2025 15:05

@FancyGoose keep us updated x

bluecoral · 17/07/2025 16:12

@babycoconut I'm so sorry to hear your news, nothing can make it better but really hope you are OK as can be. Its so cruel and unfair.
@waitingforourmiracle wishing you the best or luck for tomorrow, how are you feeling?
@FancyGoose I also had some spotting around 8dp5dt and its still going on a bit now however clinic are not concerned so I think it can be normal but scary. When are you testing?

I've got my date for my 7 week scan on our wedding anniversary so I'm hoping it's a Good omen but definitely no where near as excited this time compared to last time before our loss

Def of the it could be that

Keep the hope

Its also early

waitingforourmiracle · 17/07/2025 16:45

@bluecoral thank you, I'm starting to get nervous now but tentatively excited, very hard to describe! Oh hopefully it will be the most amazing anniversary gift!

Thanks every one, feeling much calmer than I was earlier. Chat gpt was actually so helpful at giving me some calming/grounding exercises too! Clinic has advised I stop clexane tonight/tomorrow and then start again Saturday if all is well/no more bleeding so we will wait and see.

Sara237 · 17/07/2025 21:53

@babycoconut I'm so sorry, it's brutal and I hope you can have some time to process and do what you need to do. I really do feel for you.
@waitingforourmiracle here's to an easy transfer tomorrow and an extra sticky embryo. So pleased you've got where you need to be.
@FancyGoose I had brown spotting with my son, I was on holiday at the time and did about 10 tests a day. The tiny hotel bathroom was full of them. Everything crossed for you, though I understand the panic and constant checking.
@FlatWhiteAnyone hope your scan goes well. I didn't know that beetroot was linked to lining but I eat shed loads of the stuff how about you? Or is this a myth? 🤔 Who knows?!
@GamerGirl09 ah, your post made me smile...the vision of your instaduff friend rubbing her belly...urgh! I had a colleague once who suddenly told me that obviously I'd never wanted children...twat...
I'm just sat here wondering if 3 days is going to make any difference to my tiny follicles? What can I do? This natural cycle lark is expensive. 300 pounds for scan and bloods every few days is not ideal when about to embark in summer hols with my 7 year old! Have to keep telling myself why I'm doing this as feeling very detached ATM as if it's casting a shadow over our lives when I should just be enjoying my life with him...urgh. That's my rant over! Scan Saturday. Not feeling it.

waitingforourmiracle · 18/07/2025 10:26

@Sara237 thank you!
Sorry your feeling fed up, I get that feeling! I hope things are looking better on Saturday. The money side of it is just a whole other stress itself 😔

I'm feeling very strange this morning to be honest, if anything I feel like I'm being a bit moody and in a bit of a foul mood!! I don't usually get like this so don't know why I'm like this! I'm working this morning and snapped a little at a co-worker which is not like me!! Maybe it's nerves for this afternoon not sure!

While writing this I got a call from the clinic to say the embryo has thawed and we're good to go this afternoon, eeek feeling real now x

SparklyMintBeaker · 18/07/2025 13:57

Hi all

I did something a bit daft. When I collected my progesterone meds (pessaries and vials for injection) I put the box of vials in the fridge (as a matter of habit). I just discovered today that it’s not meant to be refrigerated and it clearly says so on the leaflet. I messaged the consultant who said it should still be fine to use but then said “unless you think otherwise”. Now I’m left in this dilemma of either getting a new prescription or using this but taking a small risk. Any thoughts or suggestions?

magpie234 · 18/07/2025 14:52

@SparklyMintBeaker Ohhhh how annoying. I could totally have done the same thing! I hate when medical professionals do this like you are the (often paid for!) expert here… you tell us?! Presumably you have already Googled the hell out of the medication not that you should have to?

@waitingforourmiracleI hope all goes/has gone well with your transfer! Exciting… anxiety-inducing… all the feels?!

SparklyMintBeaker · 18/07/2025 15:11

@magpie234 it’s funny because the only reason I checked was because it was brought up at work NOT to refrigerate meds which aren’t meant to be refrigerated as it can affect their efficacy. So I googled Lubion (which has been sitting in my fridge for the past 2 weeks) and turns out you’re not meant to 🙈
So looks like I’ll have to splurge ££ for a new prescription. Sigh.

magpie234 · 18/07/2025 15:56

@SparklyMintBeaker Personally I would do the same but I really feel your pain!
