just looking to start a group chat/ supportive group for anyone currently going through the long protocol now, I'm currently on day 5!

@amkw I have socks on too! Glad it’s not just not me doing these things! Today I’ve had acupuncture, avocado, pineapple, maccies fries, comedy (Rick n Morty) socks and I’ve drunk 3L- throwing everything at it 🫣🤣🤣

My test date is July 12th which feels a lot sooner than I expected?

@MerryBrickHelper I love all these things aha I will most definitely be doing the same! 🤣 screenshotted just so I remember aha as I heard of the socks, pineapple & makkies, new to the accupuncture but I'll be having that too aha best add orange pants to it aswell aha what are we like!

Do either of you have much planned in the 2 ww?

Also I forgot to ask how did your retrievals go pain wise? How was the recovery? Xx

Its strange the way different clinics have different test dates! Will you test earlier or wait? I’m going to try and wait until OTD.

@Butterfly4421 retrieval didn’t hurt at all! You’re sedated usually so it’s actually quite nice when you wake up and you’re very dopey! I felt a bit sore and full of wind for a couple of days after but it’s absolutely fine in my experience so I wouldn’t worry at all :)

I’ve taken this week off work so I’m just going to take it easy and chill. My dog wants to jump on me but he can’t at the moment incase he hurts me bless him 🤣❤️ I’ve got another session of acupuncture next Wednesday…she said it will help with my anxiety as I’m a very anxious person who constantly worries. I’m itching to Google things now but I’m not going to! X

Ah okay that's good to hear than glad yours wasn't painful! I've read alsorts to be honest!

I'm tempted to take a week off during the 2 week wait too! But I do work from home but I'm also a huge worrier & suffer with anxiety alot I think the lady told me today she would do one a week after transfer too so looks like I'll be chucking a lot of money at the acupuncture too aha found it so weird today but can't say I felt any different to be honest! Xx

Please don’t worry about egg collection - I’ve had 2 and neither has been painful.

If you are a worrier then more acupuncture is money well spent. I don’t love acupuncture myself (it feels weird and hurts sometimes when they twist the needles) but if it helps it is all worth it.

If did feel weird today definitely felt the needles in she didn't twist any aha but can imagine that hurts and is a strange feeling! Xx

Thanks all! It was definitely the right call because they rung today to say none of my eggs were of suitable quality to freeze. Trying to remind myself…you only need one! @amkw how you feeling post transfer?

@MerryBrickHelper You only need one indeed! I’m feeling ok, I’m anxious and I’m itching to Google but I’m not going to. I’m going to find it hard to wait to test and 14 July seems ages away. I will be looking for implantation bleeding soon but I know it only happens for a few women. 🤣

@MerryBrickHelper it really does only take one. I am in a whatsapp group with fertility network scotland and there were lots of failed cycles. The first success story was the one who only had one embryo to show for it. She was also on the long protocol with low amh so she's given me lots of hope 😁

I'm doing OK, ready for the next step but still at least another week to go. A much less anxious wait than you guys have though so I shouldn't complain xx

Stimms is going okay, I have abdominal pains / cramps today though so just want to get to a scan now to see what is actually happening as it's the unknown as my AMH was really low so just the waiting 😩 my scan is first thing tomorrow morning so sure I'll know more then! Xx

I’m trying my best to be positive as I don’t want stress levels to affect anything. I’m going to take next week off work too. This is more important!

@MerryBrickHelper had to pick up more medicine as I split some of my injection haha, not sure if I said. Apart from that going ok. I've had some dull cramp like aches, hope that means follicles are coming on more. Got my scan tomorrow.
