just looking to start a group chat/ supportive group for anyone currently going through the long protocol now, I'm currently on day 5!

@MerryBrickHelper I'm feeling more positive hoping that I'll have more follicles on my next scan on Friday. Good luck tomorrow for your transfer. Fingers cross everything goes well. 🤞

@Eagerlywaiting1990 do you know when you start stims? I'm eating like a horse at the minute too - need to stop, I had to lose two and a half stone to start IVF don't want to put any of it back on!!!

@CakePigeon30 so glad to see you are feeling more positive. That's also incredible that you were able to lose that amount of weight for ivf, well done you! But yeah I know what you mean, I keep telling myself it's a false hunger but the rumbles are real haha! I should start stims on 11th July provided I bleed before then. I'm sure my period is due 9th/10th so hopefully it will be OK. Can't bear the thought of it being pushed back!

Transfer happened today. 1 embryo which was graded a 4BB.

The 6 made it to blastocyst with two a lower quality. They are going to take them to day 6 and if any they will freeze then. I’m just delighted we had one to transfer. Would be great if I can have some frozen but I didn’t get a sense of any being frozen due to leaving them to day 6 but who knows?

Now for the dreaded two week wait!!!

Hi, I’m lurking but I just wanted to step in and say that I had a freeze all and 5 were frozen on day 5 and another 3 were frozen on day 6, so absolutely they can be frozen on day 6 :)

I’m also due for my transfer later on today. Fingers crossed for us both!

@amkw thank you so much for replying. That’s really reassuring; I couldn’t understand why they would not freeze today but I was so relieved we had one I just wasn’t not really thinking!

@MerryBrickHelper some just need that extra day to get to the stage they need to be but once they are at that stage they’re the same class as day 5 ones - that’s what I was told :)

Just had a 4AA transferred. Fingers crossed for you and I! My test date is 14 July is yours? ❤️

Thank you @CakePigeon30 and @Eagerlywaiting1990 I’m currently sitting with my feet up with 4 pairs of socks on eating pineapple and watching Ricky Gervais. 🤣

I hope you’re all doing ok. I didn’t do long protocol but I can sympathise with the injections!

@amkw love this aha I only heard about keeping your feet warm the other day!

@Butterfly4421 Every little helps doesn’t it! 🤣 there’s so many things you can do some of them are quite funny but it’s worth a try. Have you heard of wearing orange knickers to transfer? 🤣

Hahaha yeah I've heard warm feet and mcdonalds fries after transfer. I also had a friend who was told to drink at least 2 litres of water a day and she is now 10 weeks pregnant after ivf so give that a go too!

Haha I'll be giving it a go I drink a lot of water anyway!

I also did the acupuncture today too and booked in for next week and she is going to do me some day of transfer too, trying it all aha

Has anyone changed there diet much? Or avoided foods / sugars? Xx

Yes! That one is quite a necessary one it seems - everyone does it! 🤣

Yes water is so important! My acupuncture lady said make sure the water isn’t freezing though - not sure why though!

@Butterfly4421 I've been trying to eat healthily. I haven't avoided much food but have cut out all caffeine. What about you?

I've changed very little in my diet too. Just reducing red meat and avoiding processed foods...who knows whether it helps or not!

@Eagerlywaiting1990 I read one thing that said eat lean red meat I mean not loads aha but add it in, there's so much contradictory stuff the diet stuff just loses me aha!

I've cut out caffeine and added in more veg but truthfully that's it told myself I would cut out chocolate and stuff but just sat here with a bag of maltesers now aha 🤣 I would love to be eating the Perfect diet but when I'm not feeling great in myself it's just another added thing isn't it! Xx

Haha yeah to be fair I couldn't completely avoid red meat anyway, my husband would go into shock! 😂just aiming for once a week rather than the usual 3 times.

Aw don't chat! I want all the sweet treats and cake in the world right now...I don't think a little bit here and there can possibly do you any harm, especially if its a wee pick me up when you're feeling crummy xx
