I had my scan today & been told I'll be taking my first stims injection tomorrow eve! I start on overleap 375 xx

@Butterfly4421 it went well thanks sounds like yours did too! I'm also starting stims tomorrow on Meriofert 225iu. How you feeling about it?

Not booked in for scan until day 9 when will you be having yours? I always thought they scanned every few days from what I read but I emailed to double check and they have said will scan every other day after the 9 days! Xx

Hey both, So glad to see you are both in stimming phase. I found this part fine, just a little bloated. I was told not to do any exercise at this point and I am really really missing running.

I had a scan yesterday and despite them counting 14 follicle's on my baseline scan, lots of my eggs haven’t come ‘forward’ . There are 8 eggs they believe they can collect. I’ve been really upset because it is such a numbers game.

Reading between the lines I needed the higher dose from the start. My advice would be to you both - push for a scan to check how your eggs are doing so they can adjust quicker.

I started stims on the 14th and wasn’t checked again until 21st June. If they had scanned me earlier i probably would have been given higher dosage earlier which would have given my eggs more time to grow etc. I have another scan tomorrow so hoping some have come forward. They are going to decide if I have egg collection Friday or Monday tomorrow - kinda hoping for Monday so it might allow some more eggs to grow!

Ah I run 3 times a week too so might try run tomorrow morning as my last one before the evening injection as I've been told I've got to start mine in the evening!

Ah I really hope you get more by your next scan but if you don't just try think positive! I've read stories of people having very few eggs and still having a successful cycle ❤️

I have no idea how many I will get to be honest or what the average number people usually get? What level is your AMH? Mine was 4 last year and 2 this year so really low but on my scan I think if I remember right they did see 7 follicles one side.

I always thought you was meant to be scanned more as I'm not booked in until next Friday! So actually 10 days later and then it's the weekend so I don't see much room for improvement on changing the dosage which is confusing and I did email them after to confirm it as I said I had read most people get scanned every few days but they said no they will scan every other day after the 9th day! I am starting on quite a high dosage to start off with though at 375 so hopefully it works well xx

@Butterfly4421 my scan is on Monday which will be day 6 of stims, then I have another one booked for next Friday (day 10). If that scan looks ok, I will have egg collection on Monday 8th, if not I'll have another scan.

@MerryBrickHelper I hate exercise 🤣 so fine by me although I have been on a diet as had to get BMI down before starting so am worried about putting on weight with stims

Ah so you have at least a scan inbetween I'm just straight to a scan on day 10! As I'm booked in on Friday as that's my only scan, did you have any bloods taken?

Ah hopefully all will be okay on the weight side, I haven't read much of people gaining much weight. I have however been eating so much aha so probably need to rein that in!

@Butterfly4421 No didn't have any bloods taken, did you? I haven't had any bloods taken since before I started.

I can't even remember what my AMH is, they told me and said it was normal range but at the time I didn't know what if meant so it went in one ear and put the other, and now I can't remember lol.

I'm just worrying about this scan time now aha but I am starting on a high dosage and just done the good old googling and think the max dosage is 450 and I'm starting on 375 anyway so quite high so just have to hope they know what there going aha

It's all so confusing to me I've read so much stuff hard to take it all it in!

I think we will be very close for our egg retrievals though! Are you doing your stimms in the evening? I'm not sure what time to do mine aha as I've been told I have to stick the time every night & I have a wedding at the weekend! Xx

@Butterfly4421 yeah in the evening, think I'm going to do about 7ish. They just said it had to be around the same time everyday. If you are at a wedding, you might have to do late on then unless you take your medicine with you

Yeah I think I might have to take it with me, I've found an injection cool pack on Amazon so that is one of my options at the moment xx

Hey, yeah going alright don't hurt as much as I thought I've just been struggling with headaches the past few days! How are you doing? Xx

They aren't as bad as I thought they would be but in think I'm too rough with pulling them out because it stings afterwards! I have a bruise around yesterdays but today seems ok

I'm yet to bruise just have lots of red dots aha, is yours in a pen? Xx

No its a syringe what about you?

I have syringe in the morning & pen one at night that one has to be in the fridge but my morning one doesn't xx

Hey, how are you both feeling? I think the fact you both are on high doses means you won’t run into the challenges I faced during stimming in terms of slow egg growth! When
do you both have a scan?

I had my egg collection on Friday; they collected 10 in the end!! One wasn’t mature enough so went to 9 which as you can imagine I was over the moon with. Had the call this morning that 8 fertilised (🎉) but one was abnormal because two sperm fertilised the egg so leaving a total of 7! I’m so pleased because originally we were only collecting 7 so to have 7 fertilised is just great- taking the ivf win today as last week was tough. They are going to call me tomorrow to let me know how many survive over night and if they are going to do a day 3 or day 5 transfer, feeling cautiously hopeful we manage to get an embryo!

Hi Ladies, mind if I join you. I just had my injection for down regulation yesterday and don't really know what to be doing with myself haha! Sounds like you guys are all moving in the right direction. @MerryBrickHelper that sounds like a great number to have fertilised! Congrats! Let's hope everything keeps going to plan and you can celebrate in a couple of weeks time!

Aw thank you @MerryBrickHelper . I really appreciate it. Yeah it's my first time too...such a long time coming. I think yesterday felt a bit like an anticlimax because it was a case of here you go, hopefully see you in two weeks! Haha I have all this pepped up adrenaline and nothing to do with it!

Yeah will be my first scan on day 9! So hopefully all okay!

@Eagerlywaiting1990 welcome! I just saw your other thread but thought I'd reply on here so we didn't have conversations across two different ones.

I didn't have a scan for down regulation either. I was told I could start down regulation any day of the cycle. I had a prostap injection that lasted three weeks, then had my down regulation scan, where I was given another prostap injection and then started my stims the next day.

The prostap stops ovulation but I actually had the first injection the day before my period was due. So because I had already ovulated that cycle I still got my period (it ended up lasting twice as long) but then have stopped ovulating this cycle.

Hope this helps, not sure if I've explained myself well, asp not sure if the other medicines do it the same way? What medicine are you on?
