Has anyone had any idea of timescale when the withdrawal bleed will be and how many periods before the FET cycle?

@Faith2024 mine was 88 but I'm glad my clinic haven't put me on any more, lubion is expensive enough as it is.

The 30th is my birthday, so will definitely test before then. The first response early response are some of the best early tests, but they are not cheap. I always get accurate results on the easy at home cheap strip tests from Amazon from 4/5 dpt too

Hi everyone, so many updates whilst I was away on holiday and loads of you in your TWW, eeek how exciting! I had my lining scan appointment yesterday, it is at 9.4 so I'm booked in for my transfer on 29th. Had my first pessary this morning and it sent me into a bit of a funky mood... I agree with everyone who said this part of IVF is worse than stims. Had flashes back to all the angry emotions I felt after going through feeling gross for weeks and then finding out it was all in vain after my last few failed transfers.

Is anyone else taking aspirin? If yes at what point did your clinic advise you to start?

@GGinie2024 I'm currently due to have my transfer in the week commencing 5th August assuming everything goes ok with my scans. Is yours August then?

@Becky105 I am on blood thinners injection but hoping to swap to asprin at some point.

@kirstysmbc fingers crossed it will be a good outcome for your birthday. Yes the lubion is expensive but I was on that from get go. Hoping this is all I will be needing now.

I'm only 3dp5dt and have started spotting/ bleeding. I know some people say it can be a good thing/implantation bleeding etc but it doesn't feel like it to me. I've always been prone to getting spotting/ bleeding from about 8dpo until AF in normal cycles so i think it's just that starting already as it's bang on time. On well. Onwards and upwards.

@Becky105 I'm on aspirin and started 5 days before transfer, at the same time as the progesterone.

@SideEyeMoon I really hope it's implantation, rather than anything else. It's so hard to see any pms symptoms during a cycle, so most be especially hard if it's spotting. Are you on a lot of extra progesterone? Can you ask your clinic for extra?

@kirstysmbc my levels were 80 (whatever the unit of measurement is) and my clinic wants over 50 on ET day so they were happy with that. I'm taking 3 cyclogest a day at the moment which they seem to feel is enough. I think I'll see how it is tomorrow. I shouldn't be so pessimistic this early I know. I guess I'm not out until I'm properly out!

@SideEyeMoon it could definitely be implantation bleeding, but I know how hard it is to hold onto hope when those fears creep in. Sorry I can’t remember - is this your first transfer?

@Hoppy1985 I will probably have my transfer end of August as I am doing an investigation cycle in July. There is a FET August thread if you want 🥰

@kirstysmbc thanks for the pregnancy test recommendation, I meant to say not tested in 8 months not 18. I will try to hold out until 30th if I can.

@SideEyeMoon i hope its implantation spotting 🤞🏼 when i had my failed transfer before in May my period didn’t show any signs until 3 days after the neg test and stopping the meds.. so the meds should be your period arriving? Try to stay positive until you’ve had a proper test. It’s hard not to let the fear creep in though. X

@Kaybee1989 I'm so sorry for your negative result, take some time with your partner and be kind to yourself, reach out for support from friends and do all the nice things xx

@Sunnydaysahead1 good luck transfer buddy! My FET is at midday, bloods test at 10am to check my progesterone. I Hope everything goes well for you today and then we can wait out the TWW together :) This is my second transfer and I don’t feel as excited, I’m feeling more nervous this time. 😟 last time I felt it would 💯 be successful.

My fiancée is working overseas and hasn’t been able to call in over 2 weeks. I know I’m strong enough to do this alone but sometimes I just feel it’s unfair, I understand he’s emotionally unavailable when he’s stressed and over worked. I think I just needed a little rant 😂 Xx

And I feel so similar to you, it’s my second as well and definitely feeling more nervous than excited. But I’m hoping once I’m there and it’s all happening that the excitement will kick in more! Mine is at 9.30 this morning so I’m on my way to my progesterone test now, I’ll think of you at midday!
I’m so sorry you haven’t been able to talk to your fiancé, that’s so hard!! Definitely rant as much as you need! You’re right that you can totally do this, and you have this whole group to support you too, you’re not alone ❤️

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread. Thanks @kirstysmbc for the recommendation.

I had my first ever transfer on Monday (FET) so I'm 3dp5dt today. Transferred a 4CC so not the best quality but my clinic have reassured me so many times not to worry about the grading.

I swore I wouldn't symptom spot but that's gone out of the window already 🤣. I've decided to limit myself to 10-20 mins of obsessive googling per day.

Thanks @kirstysmbc and @Indigopantha for letting me know about your aspirin. I think my clinic forgot that I'm supposed to take it so they didn't advise when to start. I'll start now, I don't think it'll do any harm. I know they didn't want me to start before egg collection because it could increase any bleeding, but I've not had any bleeding in my previous transfers.

@Indigopantha I totally understand your frustration and need for a rant. I ranted about my partner and I think, just feeling sorry for myself out loud helped my mood. We are putting our bodies through a tough toll and the hormones really fuck with our moods... Anxiety, tearful, excited, depressed they all creep in, in waves and there's no avoiding the highs and lows. Sending you a hug.

@Lcm11 I was very like you in my first couple of transfers, googling was rife. If it helps I can give a little summary... ALL the typical pregnancy symptoms can be caused by progesterone. If you Google long enough every symptom can be found in a success story and an unsuccessful story. Bleeding in early pregnancy is very common... Even your clinic will just tell you to wait until OTD. I found a bit of comfort in becoming expertly informed from my googling but like you had to impose some limits because it was causing me to feel a bubbling excitement/anxiety.

Im seven days post transfer and this morning I tested and got a bfn 😞 I know I’m still a few days out from official test day (which is Tuesday) but I know I should be getting a positive by now if it had worked. I’m so so gutted, this was our only embryo from this round so we are going to have to start from the very beginning again.
@SideEyeMoon How’s your bleeding/spotting? I hope it’s eased off a little! Fingers crossed it’s just implantation bleeding 🤞🏻

@Seasidegirll sorry you've also got a BFN. I know I'm still very early at 4dp5dt but my bleeding is much heavier now. It's not full on AF but it's bright red and needing a pad now. It's a whole week until I'm due on my period as well. But I do get this sort of thing occasionally in normal cycles. All doctors have told me it's nothing to worry about.
I'm prone to spotting from about 7dpo normally and some cycles I'll get full bright red bleeding needing a pad until AF even though it's not actually AF. I know it's not AF as it's been confirmed by temping etc and scans in the past. It's very strange. But even though it's early im pretty sure I'm out as well.
That'll be my third failed transfer. Have 2 frozen embryos left now then I'm done. Too old now for any more fresh cycles.

@Seasidegirll I’m so sorry to hear about your bfn, it’s such an awful feeling. Is there not still a little hope with it being a bit early though? It must be so hard to have to face starting from the beginning again as well, I’m sending you so much love.

To those who had their transfers mid week, I hope it went well for you @Sunnydaysahead1 and @Indigopantha and you're relaxing now.

@kirstysmbc @Faith2024 @Lcm11 we are all transfer buddies! I also had my first ever transfer on Monday, did FET too. I haven't tested, and don't know if I should. Has anyone tested yet? I too swore I wouldn't look at symptoms etc, but I've had really bad cramping since the transfer, especially yesterday. It's been feeling like the cramps I get usually right before my period 😢 also have been waking up so abruptly at like 5am yesterday and today and then struggling to go back to sleep which is what also happens to me right before my period. my head has also been hurting quite a bit, so did have a nap yesterday, but I have zero boob soreness and I don't think implantation cramping should feel like a dull ache sort of pain.
Anyone else having similar symptoms? Xx

@Seasidegirll ahh I'm sorry to hear about the BFN, it may still be a little too early, you never know? Maybe just wait a few days and then test again. I can only imagine the feeling of having to start all over again, but when you do, know that you've got this. Sending you lots of love.

@SideEyeMoon I'm sorry to hear about your bleeding. What have your clinic said and when is your OTD?

@EvaA17 I have been having cramping and lower back pain first 3 days and only mildly now but that could just be from treatment itself or the meds, IVF meds do tend to cause cramping so I am paying little attention to symptoms. Also with my first child just morning sickness at around 5-6 weeks & no symptoms l so I trust the test!

I want to hold out till 30th because I want definite results I can’t cope with the stress of maybes 😂

My transfer went well and I feel so much better now I’m home and even a little excited. Also much better now I’m not having to manage travel to Spain, dog care, picking up prescriptions and having to lie to the in-laws about where I’m going 😂 So glad I have a friend coming over that I have told and she’s bringing crafting/ painting to us to do! 🥰

@Sunnydaysahead1 Hope your transfer went well! Have you planned anything over the next two weeks to distract yourself?
