Hope you're all feeling ok post EC. 💕
Has anyone had any idea of timescale when the withdrawal bleed will be and how many periods before the FET cycle?

Hi all,

Sorry, I've just had a whirlwind of a few days and moving out this Saturday of our current place has not helped!

I had a beta blood test on Saturday which was 12DPT and it came back at 1281 miu/ml. Just thinking when I should book another one in for. I still haven't got a date for my scan yet, I spoke to my nurse yesterday and she said she would book it in for me soon, I think I'm just going to go get a private one done as I'm getting quite anxious about it! To top it off, I've caught a cold so been struggling with a sore throat and bad headache, really hoping it doesn't cause any issues for the little embryo's development 😭
And I'm very wary about taking anything.

How is everyone else doing?

@Indigopantha I am so sorry to hear about your negative result. Sending you so much love and wishing you all the best for the wedding and the next round xx

Faith2024 · 07/08/2024 10:52

Hi 👋. Things are good ok my side. I havn’t really tested since day 12 which was on Saturday. I don’t think I will do another beta test, the clinic said they were happy with the last score until scan. So about 11 days until my scan.

@Mfiwife I have had cramps and back pain on and off since transfer day and it’s normal I wouldn’t worry about it.

I downloaded a pregnancy app and entered my estimated due date, it’s making it real and it’s a nice change to be positive and to have hope.

Faith2024 · 07/08/2024 12:30

@EvaA17 contrats on the beta test and get well soon. I know how you feel. There is currently stomach bug going round my daughter’s nursery, I only pray we survive it. I am tempted to keep her home and ask my mum to help a few days. I feel like she is already exposed though. A normal cold/flu shoukd be OK, look after yourself and try not to worry.

LeoStar24 · 07/08/2024 09:56

@SideEyeMoon wow, thanks so much. This has given me so much reassurance!

I will do the FRER test on Friday as I'm not at home until then! I am feeling abit gassy today so don't know what's going on!

How are you?

That's good I'm glad it's helped you a bit! It's such a worry at this time. In the last few years I've had a chemical, a miscarriage and a MMC (collecting them all it seems) so I know the fear about darkening tests especially!
My recent blood test levels went from 330 to 1114 in less then 3 days so that seemed a good sign and I've stopped testing now. I might do one more weeks indicator one at the weekend but that'll be it until the scan which my clinic have booked for 22nd. Unless something changes anyway.
I had some mild cramps and spotting earlier which freaked me out but it stopped within an hour. And I've resisted testing again. Especially with those cheap strips. It'll only worry me I know. So I'm hanging on as much as possible!

Hoppy1985 · 08/08/2024 10:14

@Faith2024 your approach sounds like a sensible one and hopefully one that won't see you driving yourself loopy! I'm so happy for you that your experience this far in has been so positive and I hope that continues right until the end.
Next up; scan 😊

kirstysmbc · 08/08/2024 12:12

@Faith2024 I'm trying to do the same, my betas have all been good so trying to wait it out for the scan now. Just seems a long time to wait! Out of curiosity, what due date are you going with? The IVF calculators I've seen have given me a due date of 9 April.

@Mfiwife I've also had some cramping and a tiny bit of brown spotting. I had exactly the same with my daughter at the same time, so I'm trying to take comfort in that and not get too worried. Trying to go with a ' nothing I can do can change anything now' approach and just enjoy where I am today.

@EvaA17 Congrats on your beta. Have you had a date through for your scan yet? If you can, I'd try to wait to around 7 weeks, as doing an early one and not seeing a heartbeat (cos it's too early) can cause so much more anxiety than not having one at all.

@Goldpanther Sorry to hear about the OHSS but glad you're feeling better now. When is your scan booked for?

Faith2024 · 08/08/2024 14:37

@Hoppy1985 thanks. I think everyone has a different past and experience on this journey so people will do different things to keep themselves going.

@kirstysmbc if you had a transfer on the 22nd it will say 9th April I think which is also what I got. My 6 weeks scan is on the 19th which feels a bit early but hoping it is enough. These first milestones seem like big steps.

Mfiwife · 08/08/2024 14:42

Thank you for the response @kirstysmbc that's good to hear you had similar symptoms with your daughter too! Hopefully it's a good sign for us. My cramping has calmed down today and my boobs seem to be more sore. Don't have any sickness yet, not that I want it but any signs things are going well I will be grateful for!

My scan seems so long away, 1 week 6 days can't come quick enough. I also have a due date of 9th April. Trying not to think that far ahead at the moment but also makes me so excited I could have an 8 month old by next Christmas!

kirstysmbc · 08/08/2024 14:58

@Faith2024 Mine is on 20th, which I make 6w6d, so just a day after yours. I've had a scan at 6w2d before and been lucky to see a heartbeat, so I think we'll be ok 👌

@Mfiwife Glad things have calmed down today, mine have too. Now just have to try not to panic if they come back, which they no doubt will!

Becky105 · 08/08/2024 15:27

Hi everyone, I was also really grateful to see the test progression post not sure if it was@SideEyeMoon as those tests freak me out too. They are not very sensitive the ones I have, but this morning with fmu it was much better. OTD tomorrow so I'll use the tests the hospital gave me and hopefully get to give them a call to say it's a BFP!!!. I was travelling yesterday to Spain so keeping track of meds with time changes was tricky. Now I'm panicking about everything... Can I swim, should I be in the sun, what should I eat, what should I avoid... The worries are endless especially when I'm out of my normal routine. I've also f*ed up big time... I forgot my Levothyroxine tablets. I had one in a pill pot so I've been OK today, but going to try to find a chemist and beg them to help 😕 not impressed with myself at all

Mfiwife · 08/08/2024 15:47

Yes I'm sure they will! @kirstysmbc

Has anyone told anyone other than their husband/wife/partner yet? I haven't told a soul and not planning on until I'm at least 8/9 weeks and have had a scan (would prefer to wait to 12 but might be tricky with stuff coming up) but just wondered if people had a view on whether they would tell people before then based on past experiences?

oh no @Becky105 I'm sure you will be able to get them in Spain, even if you ask your clinic to contact them somehow!? Try not to worry about the sun/swimming etc. I think once you're out of the tww you can swim (according to my clinic anyway!) and there's no reason why you can go about your normal life in early pregnancy, plenty of women don't even know they're pregnant!

SamVan · 08/08/2024 17:35

Congratulations everyone on your BFPs!! So happy to see them happening.

I just had my embryo transfer today - anyone else transferred today?? Would be nice to wait to test together. My OTD is 19 August but I’m planning to test in 6 days.

i would welcome any tips on things to do this week to improve my chances :)

Hoppy1985 · 08/08/2024 18:57

@SamVan the op on the Aug FET thread had her transfer today.

SamVan · 08/08/2024 19:01

@Hoppy1985 thank you! I’ll move over there :)

Faith2024 · 08/08/2024 21:15

@kirstysmbc thanks, that is reassuring!

@Mfiwife I have had random bleed at 9 weeks and spotting at 11 weeks with my daughter. Everything was fine, whilst terrifying bleeding a little is normal in first trimester.

My husband and mum know (she knew about process). I will tell wider family/friends at 12 weeks if/when we make it.

@Becky105 I would eat as if pregnant but otherwise enjoy my holiday.

Mfiwife · 09/08/2024 08:58

All the best for the next 6 days! Take it easy & try not to overthink x

Becky105 · 09/08/2024 12:28

It was a BFP on the hospital test (weird little tests). They tried to call me but I missed it, so my scan is booked in for 3rd Sept. Seems very far away 🤨. Now what to do with myself for over 3 weeks.

In regards to telling people, I've told 4 friends who knew about the process and were on the Hag Do the day we'd had our first positive.

With family it's hard... We don't live very close to either of our families so I think we're going to wait until October half term so that we can visit and tell each sets of parents. Neither of our families know that we've had ivf this time or over the past few years. Part of me wants to tell them right now but the other part of me thinks it's risky and if we've waited this long... Just hold out.
