Anyone in their 2WW??

waitingforourmiracle · 25/04/2024 09:39

Thought I'd start a thread for those who are in the 2WW!

I'm 3dp5dt, my first round of IVF! I had a freeze all round due to high risk of OHSS however only ended up with my 1 blast at day 5 so had my FET on Monday!

Anyone else going insane trying to symptom spot?? Not much from me so far, the odd slightest sharp feeling and yesterday felt as if my period was due but apart from that nothing much!!

Hi. I had my FET on Tuesday, have another 10 days to go before testing. I'm going insane symptom spotting already! I kept getting sharp twinges yesterday, now dull period type pains, which I had with the others.

How you feeling in yourself?

waitingforourmiracle · 25/04/2024 09:56

@SadieBarts Seems very similar to how I've been feeling! Is this your first transfer?

I feel absolutely fine within myself! I found the transfer so emotional, I cried and blamed the medication haha! Think I was having an emotional day anyway!

My bloods are booked for a week tomorrow 2nd May but might test before then as my partner will be working when they ring with the results so would rather know beforehand when we're together!

This is my 3rd FET, the other two sadly failed. I have issues with my lining, so it has taken such a long time to even get to transfer stage on all of them. The first was in Nov 2022, 2nd Sept 2023 and now Apr 2024. Slow process.

My clinic doesn't do blood tests - are in in the USA? I take a test on day 12, then if positive, go for a scan 2-3 weeks later. Don't think they take a blood test at all.

waitingforourmiracle · 25/04/2024 10:41

I'm sorry it's been such a long process for you :( waiting is the worst, I have everything crossed for you!!

I'm UK based, what about you?

OP posts:
SadieBarts · 25/04/2024 12:12

Ahhh, so am I. Clinic procedures always vary so much, that's why I thought you might be US. Is this your first? I had to freeze all as well due to OHSS. How many did they collect?

waitingforourmiracle · 25/04/2024 12:29

They do don't they! Yes my first transfer, my egg collection was the end of Feb, 21 collected but unfortunately by day 5 only 1 made it to blast that was suitable to freeze, a 4CC grade but I'm trying not too think about the grading too much! How about you?

Lavendermarshmallows · 25/04/2024 14:52

@waitingforourmiracle I'm also 3dp5dt! The clinic I'm at is 11 days though so going to test on the 4 May. This is my second transfer, but first frozen cycle. My fresh transfer sadly did not implant so praying for second time lucky. Haven't been as on edge as first transfer and symptom spotting, but only because I'm worried about elevating stress levels... I had a sharp and sudden tinge about 8 hours after my transfer, I'm almost certain its not possible for implantation that soon but its also the first time I've ever felt anything like it so admit it has been on my mind since, especially as I've had no symptoms whatsoever...

@SadieBarts really sorry to hear it was a long process, do you mind me asking was it a case of taking time with medication to get the lining "right" or is it was a lining issue during transfer?

Praying we all get that positive result we're dreaming of xx

SadieBarts · 25/04/2024 15:27

@waitingforourmiracle
1st collection in Aug 22 - 34 collected and 3 made it to day 5 blasto
2nd collection in Mar 23 - 28 collected and 4 made it to day 5 blasto.

I was devastated I only had 3 on the 1st go, but then realised due to my age, that is actually a very good number. Both were collected when I was 39. i think mine are 4BBs but I am really not sure what grades are better and not. Def do not get too worried about grades. The fact it has frozen and thawed means it is decent.

@Lavendermarshmallows Sending you lots of baby dust.

They have no idea why it keeps being thin. When I take the extra estrogen, my lining is the thinnest and hysteroscopy is clear too. My body prefers natural cycles, but it doesn't always work. I had a natural cycle where I released 2 follicles and my lining was super thick. This cycle they put me on letrozole to try and mimic it. I ended up releasing 3 follicles and my lining was great. It worked. I did also have acupuncture, but I am not convinced that helped. My uterus clearly wants me to have multiple births 😂

So far I have had 5 abandoned cycles due to thin lining.

waitingforourmiracle · 25/04/2024 15:27

@Lavendermarshmallows oh hi transfer buddy! Sorry to hear about your first transfer, everything crossed this second one is the one!! My plan was to test on the 4th as it's my boyfriends birthday on the 6th so wanted to know either way before then but bloods come before that.

I feel bloated and just heavy if that makes sense?? Like I'm about to start my period, only slightly yesterday but can def feel it more today! Slight pulling feeling too, it's so hard to try and explain haha!! X

@SadieBarts they are great numbers! Oh I really hope this is your time xx

OP posts:
SadieBarts · 25/04/2024 15:34

Let's hope it is all our times. My last 2 times, the day after FET when I wiped after the toilet, I noticed a very tiny like cluster, but like a dot with slight colour - not something you would normally noticed. I am convinced that was the embryo coming out. I haven't seen it this time, which is giving me hope 🙏

waitingforourmiracle · 25/04/2024 15:36

@SadieBarts fingers crossed!

I'm sat in work and just had 2 minutes where I felt a stabbing feeling. I'm reallllly trying to not look too much into things but it's so hard!

OP posts:
SadieBarts · 25/04/2024 15:41

@waitingforourmiracle I agree. I had the sharp pains yesterday, now dull period signs, like period is coming in a few days. I know progesterone does this. We are going to drive ourselves crazy.

Where in the UK are you?

waitingforourmiracle · 25/04/2024 15:45

@SadieBarts I told myself I wouldn't obsess over symptoms because I don't actually know what I'm looking out for but here I am being crazy haha.

I'm Manchester, we're with Create. Yourself?

OP posts:
SadieBarts · 25/04/2024 16:08

@waitingforourmiracle In London under NHS at St Barts. They aren't the best and cannot wait to see the back of them, but will continue using them until my funding is up.

How are Create?

Hopingtobe4 · 25/04/2024 20:34

Hi I had a fresh transfer yesterday 5 day blastocyst transfer. Just over 24 hours and no idea how I am going to not drive myself crazy before next Monday ! Wishing you all luck.

waitingforourmiracle · 26/04/2024 09:21

@SadieBarts they've been great to be honest, everyone has been really lovely to deal with, maybe not the best at always explaining things but on the whole really good. How many rounds do you get on the NHS? Our round is funded but we only get the one so don't think we could afford to stay with Create

@Hopingtobe4 welcome! Fingers crossed for you!! Is this your first round?

OP posts:
lemons44 · 26/04/2024 09:49

Hi all

Hope it's ok to join this thread. I am 1dp5dt today. This is my first frozen transfer.

We've had 3 ICSI rounds due to extreme male factor (obstructive azoospermia). Most recent round was a freeze all. This is the first time we have transferred a day 5. Our first two rounds we transferred day 3s which failed and none of our others got past day 3 due to our sperm issue.

@SadieBarts I spoke to you briefly on the thread about lining! I'm also prone to a thin lining. This time it did reach 7mm and after taking some 3D images of the lining my consultant said it looks good with great triple layer so I got the go ahead to transfer.

Before my transfer I was getting a lot of progesterone symptoms (I'm on lubion and cyclogest) like period type cramps, sore boobs, nausea. So basically if I get these in the next few days I know it's because of my progesterone as I had these symptoms before transfer.

xx

waitingforourmiracle · 26/04/2024 10:02

@lemons44 hello!! So sorry to hear your first 2 transfers didn't work 💛good news this one made it to day 5! I had zero progesterone symptoms symptoms before transfer but the last couple of days I've felt pre-period type cramps, not so much this morning but I do seem to have a bit of a dull headache and feel abit deflated today. I'm trying so hard to not read into any symptom but it's hard! X

OP posts:
waitingforourmiracle · 26/04/2024 16:44

Feel like all my cramps have stopped today, I've had a headache all day and just feeling abit sorry for myself, I wish I knew what was going on in there 😫

My otd with the clinics test is on 6th May,I think I might do my own on the 5th.
I've woke up very nauseous today, can't work out if its related to progesterone or if possibly things are working, hoping for the latter. I'm exhausted too but been exhausted since everything started lol..how you finding it all ?

waitingforourmiracle · 27/04/2024 08:12

@Hopingtobe4 transfer was Monday! It's been the longest week ever 😂 aw 6th May is my boyfriends birthday so we was planning to hold out till then but the bloods came sooner!

I felt like that last night but again I put it down to medication! I feel better in myself today but feel like any sort of cramps have stopped, I do have a headache I can't shift and same about feeling exhausted!!
