IVF/ICSI May or late April

Is anyone else gearing up to do IVF/ICSI in May?

My meds have arrived and I start my down regs next week to start a long protocol ICSI cycle, my egg collection will then be mid-May.

Had my first ICSI cycle in Feb which resulted in only 1 embryo which was transferred on day 5, but BFN. I found the support group on here super helpful with my last cycle, so wondering if anyone else is in a similar position?

@AnnieStar12 - what day of stims are you on?

I just had my monitoring scan - down to 15 now. 12 on right side and 3 on left. Couple are growing much slower and some are racing ahead. Back again on Wednesday.

@positivepetal I’m on day 11 of stims now, also going back on Wednesday. What day are you on now? And do you know when are you having EC?

@Rebekah77 I hope the weigh-in goes ok tomorrow 🙌🏻 from stims I am not sure how much weight I gained, I didn't weigh myself.. I definitely got more bloated but don't think I actually gained anything massively! I just tried to drinks as much water as I could to flush out any water weight!

@AnnieStar12 yes I've used them before on my last pregnancy, which showed a positive really early even though it was ectopic so hoping they will give me an accurate result whatever the outcome 🤍 I'm sorry your scan wasn't the best news but also those two follicles are growing well which is still really positive 🥰🤞🏼

@HopefulllHolly yes the blast was hatching you can see on the little photo it had started to hatch out so fingers crossed 🤞🏼 I felt all the pinching yesterday and feeling crampy today so you never know! Randomly as well, me and OH were kissing (TMI 👀) but the taste of his mouth made me want to gag 😂😂😂 which has never happened before.. awkward if it's nothing do with being pregnant hahaha but it was such a prominent feeling it was almost repelling 😬😂 I'm glad you're feeling good though! You must be on a high - I hope your OH agrees to test earlier so you can both celebrate together 🥰🥰

@Ashleighlouise Hahaha oh my god - I had that!! 🤣🤣 he asked me what was wrong because I pulled away 🤣🤣🤣 your symptoms sound positive! Fingers crossed.
Are you going to try and hold out on testing for a few days still? My FRER arrive in a bit, might try my luck with one on not a morning wee (I’ve already drank over a litre of water today so might be a total waste!)

@AnnieStar12 I'm D7 so a little behind still. They said EC could be as early as Friday or next Monday.

@HopefulllHolly @Ashleighlouise you both have made me giggle today! I have never heard that before. Your OH's must be very confused! 😂

@positivepetal ah we’ll be cycle buddies then as mine is Friday or Monday too. They said it’s looking 90% likely Friday and 10% likely they’ll make me stim a few more days and do Monday.

@HopefulllHolly omg did you 😂😂😂 it was the more bizarre thing, I felt so bad! I was thinking don't retch into his mouth hahaha! Didn't want to say anything because if I'm not pregnant he'll be thinking "oh I did just actually make her feel sick" 😂
Honestly once the tests arrive tomorrow there's probably no chance of my holding off even though I know it's WAY too early. I only did 5,000 of the trigger shot so I hope that's out of my system by now at least! Weirdly sometimes afternoon/PM wee is a bit strong as long as you hold for a few hours!!
Definitely post what it's like if you feel comfortable (and everyone else of course) I like to channel to good positive vibes 🥰🤗

@Ashleighlouise I did test to see if my trigger had left and it was gone by 3 days past and I had 10,000. So I reckon it’ll be out.
Here’s the FRER from just now, it’s fainter than the test this morning but still super visible, and I have drank a lot of water before doing it.

@HopefulllHolly those tests look amazing! Second one is definitely noticeably darker 😍🙌🏻 the FRER looks really good as well especially for being through the day and diluted urine!! So exciting!!! By Friday it'll definitely be SO much stronger, so I hope your OH agrees to do one with you!

@Ashleighlouise Im excited to do it and show him! I hope that it sticks and is viable 🥹🤞I asked him if he wanted to do it with me or me show him after, it’d be nice to tell him in a nice way but I can’t really think of any ideas 🤣 too excited!

The FRER looks darker in real life for some reason. I’m now at a point where I just like peeing on sticks to see the two lines, it’s such a novelty after so long trying and getting nothing, doesn’t feel real. 🥹

@HopefulllHolly eeek it'll be so exciting to share the moment together whichever way you decide to do it 😍 I'm sure everything will be absolutely perfect! Honestly I'd be the same! I'd be doing the tests as often as I could just to see those lines!!!!
How are you feeling? Any other noticeable symptoms or still just feeling good? Did the Cyclogest stop giving you symptoms the longer you did them?

@AnnieStar12 The cyclogest gave me sore boobs from day one but it was around the sides, whereas now they hurt slightly less and more in the middle. And it makes me tired and bloated, and that’s not really changed. Other than that I feel fine, in fact I feel so fine I question my tests! I am definitely needing a wee slightly more than usual too and I’ve had a few minor headaches. But other than that no, I feel fine. Everyone will be different though, and I have no idea what’s down to the drugs or not!

you I wasn’t going to test early and I crumbled straight away. Did you test out your trigger and have you tested yet?

When is your official test date?
I'm still doing my injections I've my 1st scan Friday and hoping for EC next Wednesday, I'll definitely be testing out the trigger do I've zero patience 😂

@Ashleighlouise Oh and my resting heart rate has jumped right up since I got a positive test. From 50-60 to over 70. I can feel it racing when I’m chilling out 😵‍💫

My test day isn’t until the 20th which is 13 days after my transfer, wasn’t a chance I was ever going to last until then! 🤣🤣

@HopefulllHolly Im feeling fine, I had my second acupuncture session in my lunch break and fell asleep during it! it’s so nice and relaxing, she had a heater thing on my abdomen so who knows maybe that’s nurturing my eggs!

Hey everyone I'm so sorry I come and go on this thread I read them then just forget to reply to people 😅
Loving reading/seeing the positive news it's great and gives me hope!
I had my 4th scan this morning, lots and lots of follicles all though under 14 with 4 above. They have sent me away again with more stims to do then back Wednesday for another scan in the hope I have lots of follicles ready for egg collection on Friday! I really hope for good news on Wednesday because my emotions are crazy at the moment on day 14 of the stims now 😮‍💨
But I keep saying I'm lucky the clinic aren't just saying let's go for egg collection and are trying to get me as many as possible 😊

@Gnatalie16 wow, that means you must have been stimming for quite a while! What day are you on now?
we may end up doing EC on the same day!

@AnnieStar12 I just did day 14 stims 😅 I asked them today as I was shocked to still be going and they said that everyone is different and mine are just a bit slower but growing really well and now just want a little push. Won't lie though the last week I have been very unpredictable I felt like a stroppy child at points 😂
How are you getting on with yours? You must nearly be there if EC on Friday?
