Hopefully find others in a similar boat 🙏

Just made my ‘Day One’ call to the clinic this week to set the ball rolling this will be my second cycle, first one failed on 12th Feb 2024.

Bit of background to how we got here, I have had 4 ectopics since Nov 2020 2 resulting in emergency surgery and losing both my tubes. No reason why our first cycle failed, we will be doing IVF/ICSI this time round.

Anyone joining me in the April emotional rollercoaster? X

Sorry to hear it didn't work for you this time,its such a hard journey that we are all negotiating.

I am in My 2 week wait,feeling a lot of pms symptoms though so not sure what the outcome will be

At the minute this thread is a mix of people on different parts of their fertility journey,some people are still at the stimming stage, some egg collection and some have had transfers and results.

Thank you for your response! @Hopingtobe4 hope your tww isn’t too difficult & you get a positive result at the end! When is your OTD? I have a call with the nursing team today to get a review booked in with our consultant. I’m hoping to do another transfer in June so hopefully will be the same time as some others on here!

Aw that's a quick turn around hopefully it works out for you. My otd is 6th May,that will.be 12dp5dt hoping I can hold out until at least Sunday.

I did see an ad for clear blue ultra early really tempted to try that maybe Thursday or Friday

We've had our embryologist update, we've got 14 embryos! Absolutely blown away and I can't stop shaking, feel like a right wimp haha.

In a weird way I'm glad I've had the call and I can just put it all to the back of my mind now until June. Looking forward to a restful and uneventful May with no hormones, injections or stress!

@lemonyfox woooo!! Amazing, bet you are over the moon. I was just saying to my partner I can’t even remember what my normal body feels like without been pumped with drugs.. feels like so long ago now!

I’ve got 2 more days until test day. I’m feeling so weird like I feel really bloated and been getting twinges but I wouldn’t say they are period pains 🧐 it’s just hard to work out if they are early pregnancy, period or progesterone at this stage . I’m terrified every time I go to the toilet. Really praying for a positive!!!

@Lp96 will keep my fingers crossed for you. We need some more good news!

Just been working out my period dates… I’m due on on the 4th when my OTD is the 3rd.. now I’m in my head thinking I could just be coming on my period 😩 could this be the case? I’ve read that progesterone is meant to stop periods??

@Lp96 it's so hard to figure out at this early stage because period and early pregnancy symptoms are very similar. With my son, the only signs I had when I was pregnant but before I knew it was impending period cramp pains but obviously a period which never showed up - so it could be a good sign!

I had some weird twinges earlier today… which I was thinking oh god these don’t feel normal so thought that was a good sign but now I’m really bloated and constipated sorry tmi..

@Lp96 I think your signs sound positive apparently constipation and bloated are goof signs.

I keep thinking yes its worked/ no it hasn't. I'm having cramps on snd off quite low down,my lower back is sore (but only one side) and I've a headache. What's making Mr think it hasn't is I'm freezing cold and everything I read says you should be warm.

I was wondering about period and progesterone too,mine is due Thursday,otd isn't until Monday. I think it does stop it

@Hopingtobe4 your other symptoms sound promising though.. back pain and cramps.
i am the same with thinking it’s worked and not.. these cramps don’t feel like anything I’ve had before which makes me think it’s worked but then it could be from all the drugs etc.

I can’t wait till Friday morning… will you test before??

If you've never felt them before that sounds really good,everything crossed for you. Only 2 more days- are you going to hold out?

The cold is certainly away lol I woke up after 5am sweating lol. Wasnt able to get back to sleep.

It's so difficult everything makes you think it has or hasn't worked.

Well the fact that we have had same transfer day etc Is making me think I could,although I know if its negative I'll be devastated while atm I'm living in hope!

I won't be doing Friday morning though,as its just Me and my toddler all day so wouldn't be right !

It’s mental torture isn’t it. I’m so so nervous for Friday, I don’t even know how I’m going to be able to look at the test.
ive woken up with still a weird crampy feeling in lower stomach 🧐 I just don’t even know what it means at this point.

Friday will be 2 weeks still egg retrieval and fertilisation… I’ve bough some first response tests and easy at home I heard that clear blue aren’t that good.

Yes mental torture is exactly what it is ! It'a a hard 2 weeks. I actuslly looked at my partners test as we were so convinced it hadn't worked couldn't belive it when I seen it had ! Queue about another 3 Tests being taken lol. I really feel like my period is coming today,really struggling to stay positive but trying to stay distracted!

Hi everyone. I thought I'd pop back for a little update. We had our 6 week scan this morning.

Despite the dodgy HCG rises the pregnancy has been confirmed as not ectopic. The embryo has implanted in the right place, looks and measures right, and she said she could see a little heartbeat. I'm still very worried due to the early HCG tests but the nurse said she would say our chances are better than 50/50 now (maybe 70%). I have to go back on Thursday for a 7 week scan. If everything is still looking ok they will discharge me to midwives. If not then will have to decide how to manage it like any other miscarriage.

I'm still very worried about miscarrying but just need to stay calm and remember that this morning I had convinced myself it was ectopic and I would need surgery to remove a tube, so at least we are still in the running.

Me and my husband have had so many ups and downs we don't know whether we're coming or going. I feel absolutely exhausted. I was shaking when I was having the scan from the stress.

Also she said my ovaries are still massively swollen from the OHSS, particularly the left one which is the same size as my uterus. I've had to buy jeans a size bigger. On the plus side I can stop the blood thinner injections and take off the compression socks which have been doing my head in.

Omg, what a roller coaster ride you have been on! Miracles do happen and apparently you have a little fighter on your hands. Hoping this has a happy ending so you can lord this little escapade over them forever!! 😝
