Im 33yrs old by the time my eggs are collected I'll be 34 😆
AMH = 17.9 all other parameters fine.
Partners S.A - test 1. Low morphology. test 2. Borderline everything
CARE Fertility add ons to be used - zymot and embryo glue

Starting northisterone on the 24th Jan
15/2 gonal f 225
20/02 Ganirelix joins in
23/02 scan
And potential egg collection 26/02

@Dublingirl1234 hi, my first cycle I had 7 eggs and 4 5 day blastocysts. On the second 17 eggs but only 2 blastocysts. Today I got 22...so really worry if we get any now at day 5. It is really about quality I think. My body now produces lots of eggs despite my age, but they are not good quality at all. So don't lose hope! Xx

@Dublingirl1234 I hadn't thought about removing endo lowering estrogen and that affecting AMH. I have endo/adeno and a high AMH that is problematic, so now i'm curious about exploring this more, although the costs associated are scary!

I had 22 fertilized eggs but lost most of them by day 3 so that was a heartbreaking shock. It's very hard to get any support because most people have fewer eggs and all posts get ignored. My egg collection took over an hour because of the large number of follicles, so I was hospitalized with OHSS as I was grieving my terrible results. I'm home now but on blood thinners and mostly bedbound. I'm extremely swollen, sore, breathless, and I find that I get exhausted after a very short walk from one room to the next at home. I had a Day-3 4-cell embryo that caught up by Day 6, it has a poorer chance of implantation but as it made it to PGTA I'm trying to remain hopeful.

@TT82 this is my problem too. I had 36 eggs and lots of empty follicles, but only a few made it to day 3, and then of course the numbers drop and drop. It's very difficult going through the discomfort of IVF with so many follicles, the pain of a long egg collection and OHSS, for devasting results at the end. I'm hoping that my consultant has some alternatives to get a better result, but I also can't imagine going through this again. Have your clinic suggested doing less stims or something to get fewer, better quality eggs? Do you know if this is possible?

@mt9m oh I feel your pain! It is also difficult to come to terms and accept the results when you have so many eggs and everyone is positive. My dr said at my age they do want more eggs, 15-18, as it will get us better chance to find a good one. I had consultation with 3 different clinics abroad, all said the same, that protocol was good, they also want that number and nothing they would change. I am just unlucky and age... My body reacts well to stimulation, first cycle were fewer follicles, whereas now were a lot of them. I think I also have/had PCOS, though my dr does not believe it impacts the quality of eggs. Her opinion it is just my age.
This one is definitely my last cycle.

Hi all, just heard back from my clinic and of the 6 eggs collected, 5 were mature and suitable for ICSI. I have been told that as of this morning 2 embryos have fertilised today (day 1). Does this mean the remaining 3 have no chance now? Given the stats are approx 80% fertilise, I was hoping to have 5 of the 6 eggs fertilise.

@Dublingirl1234 you only need one good quality fertilised egg, in my 2nd cycle i had only 2 fertilised and 1 reached to day 5 who is now 2 years old 🙂
So don't worry about the numbers, that time i had an amh of 3 ( it never occurred to me laparoscopy could have been the cause, did not know my amh before that) amd this cycle I had an amh of 0.8 which is devestating, my clinic decided to do natural cycle, no point stimulating with that amh, i had 2 eggs collected and both fertilised and transferred.
Just keep praying for at least 1, leave it to god. I got my fingers crossed for you 🙂

Has anyone had a bfn 14 days after egg collection (11dp3dt) and a positive on OTD?
I have bad cramps today and a negative HPT, feeling sad 😔

@Btowngirl thats wonderful news. I hope your scan goes well. I imagine the wait between the BFP and the scan has been even harder.

@Eljane34 @MotherOfShihTzus how are you both doing? We said we wouldn’t try again after the NHS cycle if it didn’t work but after the chemical, here we are doing calculations and wondering if we dive back in again since the last cycle only got one embryo. we have a consultation at the same clinic in April and I guess we will go from there.

@Mymiraclebb I was very sore the evening of EC but felt a lot better yesterday and pretty much back to normal today thankfully! Would just recommend a hot water bottle, some paracetamol and minimal movement tonight.

that’s great your collection is done, hope you found it ok! That’s great, fingers crossed for a good update for you tomorrow. My next update is tomorrow and I’m so nervous.

I am actually fine today completely, a bit bloated but think it is all progesterone that is raising. Now feel gutted they didn't do fresh 1 3d transfer 😒. Funny as I might not even do transfer at all after 3 EC! (if again no euploid) 🤦🏻‍♀️

No my Amh is very low 0.8, I only had 2 eggs and both transferred. So nothing left, no other plans as of it, need to recover from this emotional roller coaster first before making a decision. But I think if we want to try another round we should decide soon, im turning 38 this summer with the ovarian reserve running out, gotta act fast.

@Dublingirl1234 i think you’re on the same timeline as us also? How are you feeling today? Will you get a day 3 update tomorrow?

Hi @180monkeys we are day 2 today are you the same? The lab rang me today because I was asking them would they consider a day 3 transfer if things didn’t look good with the 2 embryos. They said on the phone both are doing well and at the same pace, mentioned they were at 4 cells and would expect to be between 3-5 cells on day 2. Drop off is expected tomorrow, so if we are left with 1 by Monday we will be very lucky, should have another update from lab early tomorrow and hopefully no further drop off’s from day 3 to (hopefully) transfer day!

@Dublingirl1234 yes day 2 today for us also. That’s good they said they are developing as expected! Hopefully they will keep going until day 5. Fingers crossed for you. Our next update is early tomorrow morning also but haven’t had one today

@180monkeys best of luck for your update tomorrow! Do you have a few embryos you are waiting to hear about? The only reason I got an update today is because I asked about doing a day 3 transfer if they weren’t likely to get to day 5 so someone from the lab kindly rang me!

Hi @mt9m I had a laparoscopy which was covered under my health insurance, I think the fee I paid was €65 excess and so cost wise this wasn’t bad thankfully. I did not know having the laparoscopy that I wasn’t going to have endometriosis, had I of know this and the risks of removing endometriosis / reducing your egg count, I would have frozen my eggs first. No one actually alerted me to it until I have my AMH done again a few months after the surgery.

@180monkeys @Sherr33 @TT82 hope you are all well. And sorry if I have missed anyone. I had my EC today, and 7 was collected. So now waiting for tomorrow for updates. Hope everyone are getting the update they where waiting for.

@Dublingirl1234 thanks! yes we had 14 fertilised which I know is a good number but it’s our first cycle so I’m just nervous about the drop off as we have no idea how it will go really. We were told a day 3 transfer will happen if there’s only a couple left tomorrow so we have to ring first thing and if they want to do day 3 we’ll have to go straight up but more than likely we will be day 5. That’s was good they rang you back! Are you having your treatment privately in Ireland? I am in NI and am lucky to have an NHS round but not sure how your funding works in the south.
