To be honest I didn't want to stress myself out by being too strict with myself, just plenty of water, tried to eat as well as I could, still went out for meals and had a take away, I tried to carry on as normal as possible! The last couple of days when I got abit sick and emotions hit I just rested, how are you finding doing the injections x

Thats been me aswell im just carrying on like normal to be honest. I mean my appetite hit a low like it does when AF arrived so wasn't eating much the first 2 days of that but now its just if I'm hungry il grab something dont really care if its healthy or u healthy as long as I'm fed haha. Injections are okay and depen on how my partner does them. Sometimes he jabs and moves the damn pen around which stings but usually he's okay. I wont complain because bless his cotton socks I wouldn't be able 5o do it myself I just look away and let him do it. That way I'm not stressing or working myself up

@waitingforourmiracle and @ExhaustedPigeon1988 congratulations both of you! It's so nice to hear some good news.

I'm having my worst day so far - due for trigger injection tonight and I feel really full and bloated, and I've completely lost my appetite. Luckily not long to wait until EC but I'll be glad when this bit's over.

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2024 13:53

@waitingforourmiracle wow that's a really good number, you much be so pleased :) how are you feeling? Have they warned you about ohss because of the numbers? They have given me loads of extra meds to take to try reduce mine :-/

@Bnichols89 I was the same, the last couple of days you are sore and tired, which make me grumpy and emotional, when then makes me angry and snappy and round and round I go haha. Nearly bottled out of EC this morning, for me that's the worst part and it's done, so feeling so much better. I'm sore and achy, but no worse than before EC tbh haha. How have your scans been, looking like a good number of follicles? X

waitingforourmiracle · 19/02/2024 14:09

Thank you @Bnichols89

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I'll be doing a freeze all so a little longer to wait but hopefully it will be worth it! Me too I thought I was done with injections but still doing 2 a day 😂

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2024 14:13

@waitingforourmiracle my dr mentioned a freeze all, but he also knows how stubborn I am, and accepts I want to go ahead with a transfer. Atleast you will have plenty of time to rest after this collection, do you plan of doing the transfer asap, or are you happy to wait a while first? My fresh transfers never seem to work, so my brain is already planning ahead- my clinic know I'm a nightmare haha

Bnichols89 · 19/02/2024 14:20

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 that's exactly it! Sore and tired and grumpy 😆 I had 24 follicles on the last scan, of which 17 look to be in the right size range. The nurse said to expect about 50% to have an egg in so I'm hoping that'll be enough. Trying not to think too much about any of that!

Faith2024 · 19/02/2024 14:22

Congratulations @ExhaustedPigeon1988 and @waitingforourmiracle ! Those are great numbers.

I posted on the other Feb FET thread thinking it was this one hahah. Following egg collection yesterday morning, 5 out of the 6 eggs collected fertilised and I am happy and grateful. Now have to wait to see how many make it to day 3 and also decide if I want to do another cycle by Wed per doctors recommendation.

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2024 16:09

@Bnichols89 that's great numbers, I had 25 on my final scan, but only about 10/12 were of an ok size, they upped my meds and well something must have worked :) I think you will get good results :)

@Faith2024 5 fertilised is good, just imagine if they all make it, or even half, that's great :) are you not tempted to go for transfer? It's the bit that keeps me going- even though our plan is slightly back to front. We use the lowest grade embryo on fresh, then the best on the following frozen.... it tends to be what works best for my body x

I'm going to have the transfer as soon as I can so hopefully on my next period, moreee waiting lol!

@Faith2024 that's a great number! Fingers crossed for the next few days!

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2024 16:21

@waitingforourmiracle I'm sooooo impatient, my clinic hate me haha. I do think the frozen rounds tend to be more successful and so much less stressful, my son's treatment was a completely natural cycle, that's what I aim to do for next time. But know the clinic will make we have 2 bleeds between :-/ x

Faith2024 · 19/02/2024 16:54

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I wanted to do PGT-A testing so it has to be a freeze all. And since I am 41 the numbers are 1 out of 3 being a healthy embryo, it could be more it could be less but that is the average. That is why I may need to do one more cycle. I have been doing embryo batching due to low reserve. We have 3 day 3 frozen from cycle 1 (3/5) and whatever we get from the 5 now.

We will decide based on the outcome on Wednesday, depending on how many make it. I really have no idea what I will do we have a lot of thinking to do in the next day. IT’s a headache, to be honest the biggest decision so far everything else has been going so smoothly!

Thanks @waitingforourmiracle x

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2024 18:13

@Faith2024 the whole thing is very hard isn't is, I'm glad you've not found it too bad so far. It's just such a rollercoaster of emotions, and yep a constant headache of decision making- without the experience haha. I'm sure you will do great, you've just always got to do what's right by your heart, not necessarily what the clinic say x

Faith2024 · 19/02/2024 19:35

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 yes it is. My heart tells me one thing & logic another. I am sure it will be Ok. Will you be doing a frozen or fresh? Sorry I missed it.

wishinghard2 · 19/02/2024 19:54

Oh I wish I found this site sooner. We have our first test date tomorrow and I am doing everything I can to keep myself occupied. We have not tested at all and of our two eggs retrieved only one fertilised so it’s our one shot saloon. They did the transfer on day 2 as there was only one egg so it was quite early!

for the last two weeks I have wanted to test and now the time is here I almost don’t want to because not knowing keeps the dream alive. It’s going to be a long night

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2024 21:45

@Faith2024 drs recommended freeze all this cycle due to high follicles, but for my own piece of mind I want to do a fresh and dr has agreed. In general my body reacts better to frozen rounds, so I'm not overly optimistic this will work, I'm just hoping to get enough to freeze from this EC.

Hats off to you @wishinghard2 I start testing from 4 days haha, you've done so well x

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 20/02/2024 08:21

Omg waiting for first morning update is painful!!!! I hope they call soon haha

How's everyone feeling this morning?

Sherr33 · 20/02/2024 08:30

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 i have the worst headache, I'm finding it so hard to sleep on a night, I wake up atleast once because im so bloated and then can't seen to go back to sleep 🙃 I start my second injections today. How are you?

Sherr33 · 20/02/2024 08:31

@wishinghard2 this forum has been brilliant. How are you? Fingers crossed you get that positive 🙏 ✨ I swear it seems we are forever stressing throughout this whole journey.

@Sherr33 sorry to hear that, hormone headaches are horrible and really hard to shift, are you able to nap today? Yep I'm really bloated too, I find a hot water bottle helps though...

That was speedy, just got the call, 9 have fertilised, I'm in for transfer Saturday all being well :)

Faith2024 · 20/02/2024 08:57

Congrats @ExhaustedPigeon1988 ! That’s a great number.

Hang in there @Sherr33 and look after yourself today.

Bnichols89 · 20/02/2024 09:08

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 that's great news, congratulations! Fingers crossed now for the ET.

Haha yay!!! Omg I cant believe its come around so fast!! I bought womb tea from amazon because I read somewhere it helps but now I can't remember whether it was before egg collection or after 🤦‍♀️ so its sat there in the cupboard. Im working away as we speak. So no rest for the wicked ... yetttt. I cant sleep even if I tried! How are you feeling? Have you taken days off since EC and how will you be preparing for transfer

OP posts:
ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 20/02/2024 09:32

Thanks for love everyone :) I'm really pleased, now it's just to see what make it to blastocyst :-/ every step is scary isn't it!

@Sherr33 it literally goes so quick as soon as you get to injection phase.... you blink and you're at EC! I was off work yesterday and I'm off today, but have a busy shift tomorrow and Friday, both 12 hour days, I run a busy salon, so will be on my feet all day :-/ I don't really do much to prepare for transfer, but I will always use embryo glue, have acupuncture after and mc Donald's fries straight after too... just kinda our ritual.... then the next day (when if embryo is going to implant it's during that day), we go out for a gentle walk and a nice meal.... it's all about staying positive and being relaxed x

wishinghard2 · 20/02/2024 11:02

Glad to hear everyone’s staying positive and seeing each day through

so of our 3 follicules which produced 2 eggs which had one fertilise…..

I can confirm our little 4 cell two day transfer has given us our first BFP today. I cried. I smiled and I cried some more. This was our 15DPT day. Blood test is Friday which we continue to be nervous for after an atopic and chemical when we tried IVF many years ago.

for now we take this as another little tick on the very long step.

I hope this brings some positivity to you all. It really is our last chance as it’s NHS funded this time and we just can’t afford to put more money into it.

keep positive and keep reaching for the next step

Sherr33 · 20/02/2024 11:31

@wishinghard2 omg congratulations haha so happy for you :-)
