@Lasagne30 i didn’t get any bleeding at all so am not well read on it sorry! It can be common though can’t it? Implantation can take until day 5 or 6 I thought? I still have a lingering headache from the one I’ve had since last sun!! The clinic called on wed as a 7dpt courtesy and I said about my headache and she said it’s probably hormonal… and yep posi tests every day since day 7 although looking at my day 7 one now it’s so faint

MotherOfShihTzus · 18/02/2024 12:37

Good to see good news here!

@Lasagne30 the whole process is such a headf**k isn't it. If you can if try to hold out as long as possible; any positive you might get at this point it would be so feint - it will stress you out more (from recent experience)

@Btowngirl lovely to see you're progressing well :) unfortunately not good news for me; tests have gotten more feint, and now digital showing not pregnant on OTD so I'm out. I will say though - I have my 23 month old son from my first fresh transfer so hopefully this gives others a bit of hope.

Btowngirl · 18/02/2024 12:45

@MotherOfShihTzus hey! Thats sad news, sorry to hear that. Lovely of you to mention reference your son though ❤️ was this transfer a frozen from that round? And do you have a plan from here if you don’t mind me asking, or are you going have a relax for a bit?

Sherr33 · 18/02/2024 12:48

Hey all

I think I'm going to drive myself insane. I cant sleep well and all I'm thinking is IS this even working? Like how do I know the medication is doing what it is supposed to be doing? My scan is on Friday but honestly I just feel so negative right now :-/

Faith2024 · 18/02/2024 12:59

@Sherr33 I know it’s really hard but please try to relax a little bit. Do things to distract yourself. Stressing will set you back while any relaxation helps the process. I kept telling myself that. Hang in there the two weeks will fly.

Also my sleep was crap the entire time.one of the only side effects I had.

I had my EC this morning. All went smoothly, I struggled to wake up from the sedation but all good. We were hoping for 4 eggs but got 6 so I am happy. They will call me tomorrow to see how many fertilised.

@Prabs7 I hoping I can get some sleep during the weekend. I'm incredibly bloated and SO gassy. I feel so awkward and embarrassed because of it ☹ I've been like this since I was on norethisterone and now its much worse.

@Bnichols89 thats so good to hear. Cant believe how fast everything comes around when you get started.

@buttonfour embryo glue is just a culture that they put the embryo in and helps make it stick. Dont do that to yourself. Honestly I opted for that and then came on the forum to read the various other additional treat.ents others had opted for I second guessed everything and then stressed out for not choosing anything else etc but then I calm down and tell myself I read up on whatever information I had and made that decision it wasn't something on a whim. Dont second guess yours. You can speak to your clinic if that helps :-)

Thanks so much for the kind words!!! Praying for baby dust for all!!

MotherOfShihTzus · 18/02/2024 13:25

Hi @Sherr33 all the bloating etc is a sign it's working 👍🏻 if there's any doubt, it will be picked up in your scans and meds adjusted. Could you try acupuncture or a massage or reflexology? Designed to relax?

@Btowngirl I had only 2 embryos from my first. We tried to use embryo 2 in December, but after thawing well, we got there for transfer but it had disintegrated just before transfer. This was a fresh round so my hopes were so high going with fresh again so this has hit me hard. I'm so lucky that a have a few more embryos this time, though not as good quality so the thaw issue is heavy on my mind. I'm hoping to go back in for transfer as quickly as possible, as I'm also paying for immune protocol so some meds aren't in my system for much longer x

Sherr33 · 18/02/2024 16:32

@Faith2024 I know. I just start over thinking. I cant wait for Fridays scan to see for myself whether anything is happening. I mean you stim away but how do you know know. 😩I went for a walk and decluttered the bedroom that helped just focused on something other than stims. Congratulations on your egg collection 🙏 for good fertilisation numbers

@MotherOfShihTzus oh god okay in that bring the bloat hahaha. Im going to see if I can get squeezed in for an acupuncture session. Purely to relax. Even if its one day where I'm just laying there I will take it. I think its much harder when you have to factor all the different medication your taking for your specific protocol and how time sensitive it can all be...I hope you get in as soon as you wish and it isnt prolonged. Thats so sweet your little boy from first fresh transfer 💙 it gives me hope!

Hey all, anyone get bad back ache a day or 2 before collection? It's been a couple of years since my last and I don't remember feeling like this. I have approx 25 follicles, but the clinic claim they are smaller than normal so have doubled my gonal- wondering if this is what's causing the back ache? I dunno, driving myself made, EC tomorrow and I've worked myself up as I always do, the rest of the process doesn't phase me, but I dread EC :-/ x

Sherr33 · 18/02/2024 16:39

@Eljane34 im being a silly bum and stressing about whether the stims are actually doing anything. I sit and look at my stomach and think I cant feel it or see it working.. is it even doing anything...then il go pester my partner and ask him whether he's injected me properly 🙈🤦‍♀️ im sure he's glad when I eventually fall asleep. I've been so very bloated and gassy throughout this whole process starting from when I took norethisterone. Today is day 3 of gonal f 225 and apart from insomnia, bloat and headaches ive been okay. I havent had a scan yet. My scan is on Friday 🤓

I'm on day 3 of Gonal F too and my scan is also Friday. I did 600 my first 2 days and 300 now. Have you had any drowsiness? I'm exhausted. I'm also on day 5 of Ganirelix but the exhaustion hits me after each Gonal.

Good luck for Friday too. It's all I can think about. Do you have a blood test earlier in the week?

I do get tired quickly. However, I find it hard to fall asleep on a night I only get a few hours. Im on 225 of gonal f maybe thats why. Is this your first time and did they say why your on the dosage your on? I start ganirelix on Tuesday and no I don't have any blood tests due :-/ what about yourself?

LIVFingOnAPrayer19 · 18/02/2024 19:10

@Sherr33 @mt9m just done my second dose of Gonal F 225. I feel extremely tired after each injection and get very slight twinges in my ovaries (I get twinges very occasionally before as I have dermoid cysts on both ovaries). But I'm not sure if I'm imagining things 🤦🏻‍♀️ and then I doubt I've put all the medication in! I'm getting DP to watch me as I don't trust myself 😂 my next scan isn't until next Monday! Which feels a long time.

Bnichols89 · 18/02/2024 19:12

@Sherr33 I'm finishing Ganirelix tomorrow and have found it a really stingy injection. I've just today tried icing my leg first and it helps so much, would really recommend it!

Cloclo93 · 18/02/2024 19:50

Hi girls anyone using Pergoveris in there ivf? I'm 387.5iu Pergoveris daily, any side effects?

Sherr33 · 18/02/2024 20:20

@Bnichols89 thank you for that tip. The gonal f is like a sharp scratch and depending on how my partner injects or takes it out is how much il feel it.

@LIVFingOnAPrayer19 when I inject on my right side I can feel some sort of party going on but my left nothing :-/ so not sure but hopefully I can find out on Friday. What other injections will you be taking?

OP posts:
LIVFingOnAPrayer19 · 18/02/2024 20:28

@Sherr33 it stung yesterday when I did it on my right, today I felt nothing on the left. Will see what happens tomorrow when I go back to the right! From Thursday morning I will be adding in fyremadel, not looking forward to that one. The nurse said it wasn't a nice injection as needle is thicker and blunter 🤦🏻‍♀️

Eljane34 · 18/02/2024 20:30

@Sherr33 I didn’t get any symptoms really, only tired but I think that’s from stressing about it. I just made sure that I distracted myself. I stayed in bed for lie ins, watched love island, worked, had lunch, worked, had dinner then went to bed early as just wanted the days to go by quickly. Also remember that it’s not all about numbers of follicles!!!!

I feel like I am now doing the same whilst waiting for my test day! My boobs are sore but have been since starting meds (that was a symptom for me actually!) and I’m so constipated (sorry TMI!!!!) I think it’s the Cyclogest?!

@Cloclo93 i was on pergoveris 300iu, only symptoms were tired and sore boobs!

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2024 11:07

Survived EC and got 11 eggs.... yay, now for the dreaded wait haha.

Hope everyone is doing well, would be nice to see some more positives this week :)

waitingforourmiracle · 19/02/2024 11:31

Hey all sorry for being MIA!

@Cat191 I'm so sorry to hear, know it sounds silly but hope your feeling okay, look after yourself ❤️

@Eljane34 best of luck! Everything crossed for you!!

@Sherr33 I was exactly the same! I even said to the consultant when they asked I was feeling that I felt too well 😂 until Thursday I was sick! But was fine after just about nauseous!

Update from me, egg collection was yesterday morning and it went really well! Had 21 eggs collected which I was over the moon with! Just had our update and we've got 11 fertilized, I'm so happy so far! X

TT82 · 19/02/2024 11:45

Hi, congratulation to all who had EC or positive news!!
Is anyone on the similar timeline - starting stimulation this Friday and EC first week of March or so?
Today last day of downregg! I developed ulcers and painful tongue last 5 days... 😖 hoped I would escape this time with side effects..

Sherr33 · 19/02/2024 11:47

@waitingforourmiracle omg congratulations 👏 I feel asking again what you've done throughout stims but I swear I might have asked you this 100x over and still not remember

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 eeek congratulations

So proud of everyone going through this journey it is honestly the most mentally and emotionally draining journey ever.

How are you both post EC? have you been resting? Or active? Eating wise?

OP posts:
Sherr33 · 19/02/2024 11:49

@TT82 the pills were the most horrible horrible part for me honestly. I got cold sores and swelling and rash everything that I did not expect I got! But you're doing great. I'm not sure who else is on a similar timeline as you. Hopefully there is one other person.

Im due to start ganirelix tomorrow and then my first scan on Friday to see how I'm doing.

Anyone with King's?

Didn't know you need to do another baseline between EC and FET. This one transfer is a three month process Confused

Edited

To be honest I didn't want to stress myself out by being too strict with myself, just plenty of water, tried to eat as well as I could, still went out for meals and had a take away, I tried to carry on as normal as possible! The last couple of days when I got abit sick and emotions hit I just rested, how are you finding doing the injections x
