Hey girls ! Ahhh we’ve now been discharged from our fertility clinic .. 7 weeks 2 days scan today strong little heartbeat 🩷💙 so happy starting to feel real now ! Hope everyone is keeping well

@Hopingforno2in2023 hope you are feeling better. I had the bug about 3 weeks ago, and I'm still not fully over it, it seems to linger for ages ☹️

How is everyone else doing?
I have a private scan booked for Thursday night, and also have my booking on app with the midwife the same day.
I have symptoms but I keep getting into my own head of is everything actually ok... my boobs are still sore but nothing like they were. I'm just reading into everything so much 😬

Still very much lurgified but starting to feel better I think.

Just had a call from my clinic. Start medication beginning of Jan, first scan around the 22nd Jan and transfer week commencing 5th Feb. Have paid for the medication so that will be on its way to me soon hopefully.

How’s everyone feeling ? I had midwife app yesterday .. just awaiting my 12 week scan app I am absolutely shattered and just constantly starving 😂😭 I already feel like 10 tonne tess 👀🐷🤰🏽 xx

Baseline scan 22nd Jan
Start HRT and another scan 1st Feb
Transfer week commencing 5th Feb

Ive been a little quiet online lately as things have been a bit crazy.
My grandmother is in her final few days. Were not expecting her to make it til Christmas as her body has already begun the shutting down process. The doctor said the only thing buying her a few days is that her blood pressure is stable in the meanwhile.
We had a scare with baby last weekend and had to go back for another scan today. Thank god we still have a heartbeat. Baby is measuring on time , just a day behind and was jumping up and down and waving it's arm which was so weird to see. I was fully expecting to see a dairylea triangle in there. I've been having cheese for breakfast, lunch , dinner, snacks 😄 literally living of the stuff .

I feel in a strange place , filled with sadness and happiness at the moment.
This little one is really helping me through things.

I really hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and I hope this next year brings everyone great joy.
For those or us expecting I'm crossing my fingers all goes smoothly with our babies and for those starting another ivf cycle I hope this is your lucky cycle

That's amazing @Hopingforno2in2023 does it feel nice to know the plan from the new year and potential transfer date etc.? Hopefully makes it all easier to looking forward to! I hope it means you can have a bit of a mentally calmer Christmas, enjoy it and then kick start the new year your protocol 🤞🤞

So sorry to hear about your grandmother @MoonlightDreamer. There's never a "nice" time for people to pass away but this time of year is the absolute worst as there's so much forced happiness and family memories all tied in. I hope you're managing okay!
Glad your scan went well okay and there's a baby and not cheese 😊 it's a bit of a funny time emotionally for you but it's okay to feel happy about one thing and sad about another at the same time.

So happy for you that the little baby is doing well though 🥰 have you told many people the news now?

I had a private scan a few days ago, just for reassurance. Everything was fine, but they are measuring a few days behind but the babies themselves are only a day apart. They didn't seem worried about that so hopefully all will be well.

We are planning to tell some close family members and some friends the news tomorrow.. I'm hoping it will make things feel a little more real 😂🥰

Hey girls ! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas … how’s everyone doing ??? Has anyone has lasting effects from ivf ? Like still got enlarged ovary’s and causing pressure pain / shooting pains up ya bum and when you sit down ?? Apparently it’s normal when ur ovary’s are still large because everything is squashed but just wondered if anyone else had something similar ? @MoonlightDreamer im sure if I remember right you had some pain didn’t you? How’s urs now .

@Millie89xx I've had a few comments on scans that my ovaries were still large and I do get some discomfort from them but more when coughing or sneezing, feel like I have to hold my stomach which is odd. My clinic had said it's normal. It is getting easier now, but I'm so bloated and I think it's just a combination of everything, plus all the food I keep eating 🐷😂

@Millie89xx ah shooting pains up the bum lol I've definitely been experiencing that one. Have you had a change in bowel habits at all? I've became severely constipated and it's now excruciatingly painful to pass stool. I'm in agony every day as I feel like someone has taken a blowtorch to my bumhole 🙈
I've had so many issues with my back passage these last few weeks.
I don't know if it's from the ivf meds, the pregnancy hormones or what.
I haven't had any of my stomach pain that I was experiencing with the ohss in a while now. I think it all stopped around week 9. At my last scan before Christmas ovaries were still enlarged tho. My right ovary was 6cm.

How is everyone getting on?
I've hit week 12 and I'm anxiously awaiting for my first nhs scan. I had my booking appointment with the midwife on Saturday. I've found it so hard to eat healthy over Christmas holidays.
Somewhat over indulging because well its Christmas and partly because I was so busy spending time with gran and I was just picking at food. I survived the holidays by living off utter junk food for convenience and now I just have so much guilt and anxiety over my diet.
Sadly my gran passed away on Friday night , which was also my birthday.
I think its going to take me a few days to get back into the swing of things.
At least I feel my food aversions have gone so I'm not surviving on only dairylea triangles

@MoonlightDreamer ohhhhh it’s horrendous isn’t it ha ha honest to god you try to explain to someone but they don’t understand I find it hard to sit down have to lower myself into a chair because the pressure it that bad my ovary’s are so big still so think between that and all progesterone that’s what’s causing my pain the nurse yday scanned me and asked had I had bowel changes as progesterone messes you up ! Yeah I’m constipated but it’s not painful I just make sure I have loads of fiber and water … before I need to go tho the shooting pains I fly through the ceiling !

Thats good, lots of fibre and water. Definitely try to keep it under control as you really don't want to end up in my position with fissures and piles 😭
I definitely think the progesterone does make it worse. I'm also on metformin and I think that's really affecting my bowel habits aswell. Spent NYE curled in a ball after my bathroom trip that evening.
I find myself having to always sit kinda sideways and I read to avoid sitting on bum. I might buy myself one of those little donut cushions to sit on. And to think its only going to get much worse as pregnancy progresses ahhh

Hey girls how are we all doing ? Any one noticed breast tenderness gone and some lower pain down below ?? Would be great to hear where your all at .. when are 12 week scans due ???

@Millie89xx all my symptoms , well what minimal I've had subsided.
I do have alot of lower pain and tenderness but then I've had that from the beginning. I also now get alot of weird tugging and pulling sensations in my lower tummy. I'm assuming it's the ligaments stretching.
I've got my 12 week scan on Tuesday , well technically I'll be 13 weeks then
