As I was replying I realised the thread has reached the limit.
I thought I'd create a new thread for us all to keep in touch.

@Millie89xx stopping the progesterone scared me to death . I had prior tests done at hospital when I was under consultant care before ivf and my progesterone had came back low for my luteal and they said I might need progesterone to support early pregnancy. I paid for a private test in July that also came back low so I really wanted to carry on taking progesterone. I had to fuss with the fertility clinic this week and I've now got a prescription that I started taking it yesterday again but I hadn't taken any for 2 weeks and just worry that something has happened in that time. I think I'm going to try and continue progesterone for along as possible . I knew my levels had plummeted after I stopped. Unless youve a progesterone issue then its fine for you to stop as you should be producing progesterone naturally now your pregnant.
I'm on gel progesterone and it's awful. TMI but everyday you get orange rubber clumps coming out of your woo woo 🙈
I have my first scan this Thursday

Millie89xx · 25/11/2023 19:00

@MoonlightDreamer oh bloody hell ! We haven’t half been through it haven’t we .. to be honest I thought it was too good to be true because I’ve hardly had any side effects off drugs / little bit sore after egg collection but that went after 2 days but this is a whole another level .. even my mum was worried yday at how much pain I was in and how much I blew up .. ahh well hopefully that puts your mind at ease and then from Thursday you will no all is good ❤️ so exciting but nerve wracking too

Hopingforno2in2024 · 26/11/2023 10:39

Eurgh this period is horrible. I am usually very fortunate and have pain free periods but definitely not this time. Doesn’t help that DH goes away with work for two nights from this afternoon so will be responsible for DS on my own when all I want to do is curl up in a ball.

Millie89xx · 26/11/2023 13:22

@Hopingforno2in2023 oh I am sorry is it hell? How are you feeling did you have a nice night last night

Hopingforno2in2024 · 26/11/2023 15:17

It has calmed down now @Millie89xx. At one point this morning it looked like I had birthed a baby squid there was so much gelatinous mass coming out, it was horrible!

Melisss · 26/11/2023 16:21

@Hopingforno2in2024 I hear you. This period was the most intense in years. Feel like it's never going to end. So much weird stuff coming out 😅 I guess after all these hormones it's normal to get cleaned up 😅

Hopingforno2in2023 · 26/11/2023 17:08

I’m sorry you are suffering too @Melisss, I hope it stops soon!

Millie89xx · 26/11/2023 17:23

@IVFKinster @MoonlightDreamer did either of you notice a slight decline in sore boobs after stopping progesterone pesserys v

IVFKinster · 26/11/2023 17:31

@Millie89xx I had a frozen transfer so I'll be on progesterone until 12 weeks pregnant. It makes sense to have a reduction in sore breasts at this stage if you've finished the progesterone as initially that's what causes a lot of the symptoms. People can have no pregnancy symptoms until 6-7 weeks pregnant if at all so I imagine the soreness may come back around then. It's also apparently normal for symptoms to come and go or change in intensity throughout as hormones change.

MoonIightDreamer · 26/11/2023 17:51

@Millie89xx yes my boobs stopped being sore after stopping the progesterone too. I think that's normal tho.
Mine haven't been sore at all since and I'm now 6+5. I've had quite a painful nipple area that I've been struggling with tho. Not pregnancy related as I've been suffering from it for months. Gp reckons it's probably just hormone related as I did months of clomid then straight onto Ivf and now pregnancy hormones surging through me.
Haven't had any pregnancy symptoms at all since stopping the progesterone. I've been back on it since yesterday and noticed my food aversions have got really bad and I feel a bit queasy after eating certain foods so I think its the extra progesterone likely responsibile for alot of symptoms we experience

Millie89xx · 26/11/2023 18:25

@IVFKinster ohhh right … ahhh that does make sense your right !!

@MoonlightDreamer yeah I think mine had hit some peak on the progesterone they was hughhhhhh but seamed to have gone down slightly today which panicked me .. ohhh I’m going to have a constant worry for 2 weeks before this test day aren’t I 😭 I’ve had some sharp cramps too but I can imagine that’s got something to do with the OHSS I have got at the moment

Millie89xx · 26/11/2023 18:31

@Hopingforno2in2023 ohhhh sounds like everything you have pumped into body is just coming out isn’t it !!!

@Melisss how are you doing ???

Melisss · 27/11/2023 09:34

@Millie89xx doing ok thanks. I just chilled all weekend and slept so much. I think all the mental exhaustion finally caught up with me and I just needed this time. Back to work today.

How are you feeling? Is the pain going away?

Millie89xx · 27/11/2023 10:47

@Melisss slightly yes … and I think the bloating and fluid are on the decline thank god that was the worst thing ever I don’t wish that on my worst enemy ! I’m still badly bloated and in pain but not as bad as I would I’m hardly sleeping x

Millie89xx · 27/11/2023 11:17

User491 · 27/11/2023 11:19

@Lauralozzle hope you're ok, and hope your appointment today gives you some positive ways to move forward ❤️ thinking of you x

@Hopingforno2in2023 so sorry to see you got a negative test, hope you are ok after an awful period. Focussing on Christmas sounds like a lovely idea 🥰

@MoonIightDreamer how are you feeling about Thursday? I'm wishing the days away, but at the same time so so anxious 😢
Do you feel more settled after going back on the progesterone? What made your clinic give you the progesterone again? Sorry if I've missed your message about it

Lauralozzle · 27/11/2023 12:01

@User491 Thank you.

Just had our review. We’re looking at a natural FET last time because the estradiol gave me awful diarrhoea when I started taking it if you remember. Possibly with HCG trigger.

Also going to have a ANA blood test.

Looking at January/February time for our next transfer.

Hopingforno2in2023 · 27/11/2023 12:38

Fingers crossed we get going at a similar time with our FETs @Lauralozzle!

Clinic rang and I call them on my next period to get going again. My next is December so I think I will ask to go with my Jan period instead.

User491 · 27/11/2023 13:06

@Lauralozzle so pleased they are changing a few things, and doing the extra test. Hope it's put your mind at ease a little. This way at least you can enjoy Christmas break without the added ivf stress ☺️
Same for you @Hopingforno2in2023, and the weeks will fly in ☺️

MoonIightDreamer · 27/11/2023 14:05

@Lauralozzle Wishing you all the best in your next cycle. I hope that's your successful cycle

MoonIightDreamer · 27/11/2023 14:21

@User491 I'm preparing for the worst but hoping for the best.
I think that's the best way to put it.
I contacted them and explained everything about my history , all my prior tests before were coming back that my progesterone was low (I think there's a link between pcos and low progesterone) and I told them my last consultant told me I'll likely need progesterone supplementation to support early pregnancy. Think it cost us £80 for 4 week supply

User491 · 27/11/2023 14:49

@MoonIightDreamer yes I get you, I feel pretty much the same tbh. Let's both hope we get some good news. I'm pleased the appointment is in the morning.
that's great that they gave you them, it's awful how much you have to push for certain things ourselves isn't it.
I had a wobble on Friday as I did the clear blue digital and it didn't move to 3+, a few people have said they are unreliable so I've just put the tests away.. easier said than done ☹️

MoonIightDreamer · 27/11/2023 15:48

@User491 I wouldnt stress. I only got a 3+ on Thursday which would have been 6+2 weeks
Everybodys hcg levels are different and there's a vast range so the range dosent really matter. It's more to do with if the numbers are doubling which the test can't tell you.
I had only taken the digital after having the cramping and bleeding to check it my hcg was moving up but in reality I don't think it's gave me any reassurances as I know you can continue to keep producing hcg even after a loss. I've put the tests to bed now as I think they only create more anxiety.

User491 · 28/11/2023 21:22

@MoonIightDreamer thank you, I'm useless and ended up caving again today, it's said 3+ weeks, so that put my mind at ease.. until I've been googling 6+1 scans and what you might be able to see, now I'm down the rabbit hole of googling everything and worried that Thursday isn't going to give me any reassurance 🙈🙈
You are right though they just cause more anxiety 😥
Hope you are doing ok x

How is everyone else doing? 🙂

Millie89xx · 29/11/2023 11:04

@Kitt86 how you doing ? When’s ur scan
