As I was replying I realised the thread has reached the limit.
I thought I'd create a new thread for us all to keep in touch.

@IVFKinster I definitely agree time moves very slowly these days. How much further along are you than me?
According to an ivf calculator I should be 5 weeks today

IVFKinster · 14/11/2023 22:51

I'm 5 weeks 5 days today going by the transfer date @MoonlightDreamer

Millie89xx · 15/11/2023 08:25

@Hopingforno2in2023 @Melisss morning girls how you both feeling today ?

Melisss · 15/11/2023 09:34

@Millie89xx Morning, feeling ok today. Keeping busy with work, luckily I am working from home most days so makes things easier. You doing ok?

User491 · 15/11/2023 10:21

@IVFKinster ahh ok thank you for the info, I didn't realise that!

I bet you were hoping they would bring it forward a bit more than that! 🙈
Every day helps though, so when is your scan, is it next Tuesday?

I've rang my clinic today, was expecting them to say a scan at 7weeks, so 3 weeks today, but they have said they want to do one at 6 weeks first with me having the miscarriage, so I'm booked in for 2 weeks tomorrow! Happy with that, but I'm sure it will still drag 😅 if all is well at that one, they will rebook me in for the week after too!

Are you still testing or have you stopped now?

@LuckyPineapple good luck today!

Millie89xx · 15/11/2023 10:27

@Melisss yeah am good same I’m back to work so keeping busy … I have these out bursts of pure worry throughout the day even picking the washing up am like should I be doing that then I’m like oh just being daft

Melisss · 15/11/2023 11:58

@Millie89xx yeah, I get easily distracted throughout the day with loads of things running through my mind, then have to google them 😅, then I resume what i was doing. Then again the same cycle starts 🙄

Millie89xx · 15/11/2023 12:29

@Melisss its torture isn’t it ! When can you test.

Melisss · 15/11/2023 13:07

@Millie89xx official date is the 24th. I am very scared to test early so might just leave it until then except if something really strange happens in the meantime.

Millie89xx · 15/11/2023 13:40

@Melisss have you had any cramps or anything ? My boobs are Hugh but think that’s off the pessarys my poor hair has gone thin though anyone else had that after the injections ????

Melisss · 15/11/2023 13:51

@Millie89xx no cramping no but some people don`t get them so I try not to put pressure on that. My boobs are also bigger but I think that is the pessaries. My hair is not doing great either and I woke up Monday with a cold sore🙄 So all in all I feel quite ugly 😅

IVFKinster · 15/11/2023 13:52

It is next Tuesday 21st @User491 they were very hesitant to move it sooner as it would be more likely to be inconclusive.
It's great they're giving you a sort of extra scan, that's really nice. Less time to wait and hopefully get to see twice what's going on!
I stopped testing when I got to OTD except for a clear blue weeks indicator I took on Monday just gone to see if it had increased from the 1-2 I got on OTD. I think I took 6 tests in total! I'm not sure if that's lots or not really 😂 it's more tests than I've taken in the rest of my life.

IVFKinster · 15/11/2023 13:55

@Millie89xx and @Melisss keep going ladies! Sounds like you're managing as well as you can be. Might be slightly different as I had a freeze all but my hair fell out loads after egg collection and stopping meds. I've always had super thick hair and it freaked me out. It seems to have sorted itself out now though I think it's the stims etc working their way out.

Millie89xx · 15/11/2023 14:17

@IVFKinster ahhh yeh I feel like it’s been since egg collection and no injections it’s just falling out loads my pony feels dead thin 😂👀

Millie89xx · 15/11/2023 14:21

@Melisss that’s true you wouldn’t know what was a symptom and what isn’t now ahhh I always get them when I’m run down shitty on us isn’t it !

MoonIightDreamer · 15/11/2023 15:55

Hi all. Just got my bloods back.
Apparently they didn't test my progesterone despite gp telling me she would test it. I'm feeling incredibly frustrated.
My hcg levels came back at 453 which reception said is high.
A quick google search has left my head in a bit of a mess today .
Now I keep thinking the worst possible scenario that perhaps there's something potentionally genetically wrong with the baby. I don't know where to turn really as GP seems utterly useless

Melisss · 15/11/2023 16:23

@MoonIightDreamer that is frustrating when they say they will do something and they don't. I feel like GP's do what they want and most of time nothing that actually makes sense.
Could you ask them again to do the test? Is this a standard test they do for pregnant women? Just asking as I have no clue 🙈
Or would paying for the test be an option?
So annoying when they just fob you off

MoonIightDreamer · 15/11/2023 16:32

@Melisss no they arent doing a second set of bloods at all.
Not really sure what to do next if gp is unwilling to help. I find it all rather odd

MoonIightDreamer · 15/11/2023 16:37

I've asked on the forum and others seem to suggest this isn't high at all so I'm unsure why my gp has told me this number was "very high "
@LuckyPineapple do you know what measurement unit they used when doing your hcg blood test? Surgery only told me a number and that was all

IVFKinster · 15/11/2023 16:50

That's so annoying your GP didn't do the test they said they would. I'm sorry it hasn't given you the reassurance you needed @MoonlightDreamer I think this is the problem with the HCG test. It tells you you're pregnant but what is more telling is if it roughly doubles every 48-72 hours. Are your clinic not willing to do them for you? How frustrating!

User491 · 15/11/2023 16:55

@IVFKinster this is my worry too.. I hope I get peace from it and not more worry 🙈 they did say that they wouldn't be able to see everything and that a scan would need to be rebooked, so hoping I'll be ok 😬

I'm going to wait to do another weeks clear blue, but I'm not sure when to do it, maybe Friday/Saturday, I'm struggling to work the dates out of when I should be showing 2-3 😂

@MoonIightDreamer from what I've read that seems really good! Some peoples are lower and some in the 1,000's from what I've previously seen. I don't think it actually matters what the start result is, it's more if it's doubling every 48-36 hours from what I had previously googled.

LuckyPineapple · 15/11/2023 17:12

@MoonIightDreamer That is very frustrating that your GP didn't do this for you.
My clinic didn't mention what the ranges were. They just said my 155 was normal. I did find a few things online that suggest at 4 weeks hcg can range as normal between 5 - 426 and at 5 weeks a normal range can be 19 - 7340. From this, you would be normal? I'm confused by the 'very high' comment but I'm no expert.

I did a second blood test this morning as my Dr wanted to see progression, especially as I had a trigger shot. It's all very confusing.

@MoonIightDreamer Is your GP separate to your hospital/clinic where you had treatment? Could you go to them instead? Sorry I know everyone's set up is different. My GP has no input to my fertility treatment. Only my fertility Dr.

LuckyPineapple · 15/11/2023 17:16

@IVFKinster @User491 This is exciting that you have dates for your scan. The wait is so difficult. Everything is about waiting isnt it? I've no date for mine yet but just feeling anxious. Constantly worried.

LuckyPineapple · 15/11/2023 17:19

Sorry @MoonIightDreamer those figures were mlU/ml. Not sure if this is the standard measurement but everything I've looked up seems to be this.

MoonIightDreamer · 15/11/2023 17:28

@LuckyPineapple thanks for that information. That's reassuring. I had no idea what to expect as there seems to be different measurement units. I'm baffled why they won't offer me a second test considering I did say to the gp I felt like at the time of my blood test my hcg wasn't progressing.
I'm going to contact the fertility clinic to see if they can offer me any advice.
I felt stressed out when they told me my result was very high . I wasn't concerned about multiples, multiples would be a dream but more the fact high hcg levels can indicate a potential problem with the baby I.e downs. Others on here have told me its not high at all. Fucking assholes for causing me unnecessary stress. Now I'm stressed that I was stressed earlier 😆 OH has already ticked me off about stressing out
