Hi ladies, sorry I've been a bit busy and not following!

Thank you so much @Doughnut89 :)) congrats on being 6weeks too! Does this mean you've already had your first scan?

Great hCG result @KG1244 !! Mine came back as 400 on 9dp5dt, I requested another one from the GP today so I can see the doubling rate is as expected 🤞🤞🤞

Btw ladies, how do you get referred to EPU? My local one said I can go in only if there's a problem, maternity unit says the earliest they can see me is between weeks 11-13, GP says refer yourself to the maternity unit. So somehow I don't get any monitoring until the maternity unit calls me up which seems wrong if this is an IVF pregnancy, previous miscarriage etc. But who else am I supposed to turn to?!

Some advice please ladies .... on day two of 3 x 400mg cyclogest pessaries..(1 in the morning 2 at night). I have had qui tree strong period type pains and just feel absolutely washed out. Has anyone else experienced similar ? Just so paranoid that my body is going to do things wrong and reacted the opposite to how it is supposed too ...I'm so close to a transfer now!

@Summerishere83 thanks lovely. Yes I did the same and had my second one yesterday. Urgh and now it’s the next wait for a scan 😬 I’m still feeling very nervous, like everything is so fragile. How are you doing?

Sorry to hear about your unsuccessful transfer @Justkeepmoving1234 ! Have you already discussed it with the clinic? I personally took a 4-month break before this last cycle, I needed some time to stop thinking about fertility drugs, scans, results, moving things around my work, it was just so much for so long.
I guess you need to look into yourself to decide whether you're ready to go again and have strength for all outcomes. At least FET gives you flexibility.

@Lowo21 i had that. I think it’s how your body responds to the progesterone so try not to worry. Sorry if you’ve said before, when is your transfer? X

My scan is booked for 6w6d, how about you? I know, me too, I don't think I even walk normally, I feel like I'm tiptoeing, so careful with my movements 😅

No symptoms though, just the occasional slight cramp. I'm already researching when to do the harmony test as my embryos were not tested, we transferred 5bb (frozen) and 3bb (fresh) but as we know that grading is just about implantation potential, no idea what the underlying genetics are.

How are you @TTCMama17 ? Your OTD is on Monday, right?

Hey I am on cyclogest 3 x 400mg, 2 at night and 1 in the morning. I have had quite strong period type pains today as mentioned ... little concerned but hoping it's part of the side affects !

@Summerishere83 EPU will normally only see people when there are issues, but your midwife should see you before 11 weeks. My booking in appt was at about 8/9 weeks, but there's no scan until 12 weeks. Have you booked in with your midwife? Or is that who you're saying won't see you until 11-13 weeks? In my area you self refer to the hospital you want to use and that kicks everything off. I had to do private scans for reassurance as I had a mmc in my first cycle.

@Summerishere83 it’s booked for 22nd, I’m not sure exactly where I will be in my pregnancy at that point. Omg same. I’m walking around like I’m a valuable figurine 😂

@KG1244 I know it's come round fast ! Very nervous and convinced it's going to fail haha! Otherwise excited to get to another milestone. Hope you are doing well x

@IVFKinster Yeah it's easy to become blindsided by things like numbers and grades that, prior to the journey, we didn't give a damn about, yet now they feel so weighted! For me, anything over 1 was a blessing. So to have 5, I feel really lucky. And as you say, it could quite easily have been zero! OHSS or not, i'm glad you're feeling better after it all. 😊

And I guess we all second guess the Drs. based on stuff we've read from others or things Dr. Google tells us, which is mad. I do it too! Enjoy the bit between where you don't have anything to do - drink loads of wine, caffeine and eat all the sugar!

@kirstysmbc Yeah I was told its all egg up until day 3, then the sperm take over from day 3 onwards. So is a lot of reason why some with malefactor, have a drop. Fingers crossed Mr. Nice Donor man has been taking his vitamins! 😅Question on donors actually - do you know when they donated? Like, is it 4 years old or something, or is it only done recently?

@KG1244 What was the results of the one today or haven't you had it back yet? How are you feeling, and @Doughnut89 and @Summerishere83? So nice theirs 3 x BFPs here (and probably more that I can't recall!!)

@Summerishere83 are you not having any scan until 11 weeks, or do you mean the next one after your 7 week one with the clinic, is at 11 weeks? And thanks for the wishes. So far nothing to report, but I don't go on the big boys dose until Sunday 😰🙈

@GCS34 yes it came back at 1850 which the clinic are happy with. I honestly feel completely clueless, I really can’t believe it’s happened and I’m also so scared of something going wrong. IVF completely takes the joy away. I know I need to calm down and I’m incredibly grateful to have got pregnant (I honestly thought my poor body just couldn’t do it) but I’m finding it quite hard to enjoy it. How are you doing? Xx

@Summerishere83 - hey! Sorry I’ve been so quiet the past couple of days, I’m trying to keep my mind off the 2ww and enjoy the oddly warm weather we have in the UK currently.

Yes OTD is Monday, I took a test a while ago and it was negative so I haven’t tested since because I don’t want to stress myself out. It’s all out of my control now really, have to see what the little embryos can do for themselves. I haven’t really had any symptoms apart from the odd cramping which seems to have gone away now.

Prepared for the worst but hoping for the best! How’s everyone else doing? Anyone else in their 2WW?

@GCS34 No idea actually about when he donated. I didn't look and see, or check what the storage limits are. This sample has been frozen for at least 3 years now anyway.

In my last cycle I had 5 good embryos on day 3 and 2 poor, but ended up with 6 blasts, so he seemed to be ok then! Obvs my egg quality has fallen off a cliff since then, so not expecting to be so lucky this time...

Spoke to clinic and they confirmed that my protocol is already built around my being perimenopausal so nothing needs to change and I am still on track for October :)

I am yes @KG1244 although still a bit shocked that I am officially perimenopausal so young. Need to make sure I see a menopause specialist to prevent osteoporosis etc.

Not great news from my day 5 update this morning. 2 embryos are at early blastocyst stage so not good enough for freezing or biopsy yet, but they’ll update later today. 2 others are even earlier than that so they will leave until tomorrow to see where they’ve got to. So potentially nothing viable at all 😔

Great news @Hopingforno2in2023! really pleased your clinic or tailoring the plan for you - what all clinics should do right! When do the drugs start?

@kirstysmbc sorry you’re embryos aren’t where you wanted them to be. But, theirs still time! 4 of our embryos were slow and they froze them on day 6. One of them was a hatching blast, so it was a really good one! They were just being lazy (their words!) so hopefully yours will be the same.

@KG1244 woahhhhh those numbers are mad! Congrats. Bet you’re feeling relieved!! When is the scan booked for?

I’m on my last day of the small dose of oestrogen, (4mg per day) till I go up to the double dose starting tomorrow (8mg per day)😬🫣and it’s going up again next week to 12mg per day 😳 anyone else been on the high dose of estrelle oestrogen, and if so, am I going to turn into a devil? 😂
