@Caubabatko I am 38. They said they would give me a day 3 update despite not usually doing that but they will as I only have one. They have booked in for a day 5 fresh transfer.

@Caubabatko oh this journey us so cruel! There's always a waiting game that drives me insane 😖 And I for some reasons thought that IVF more clear straightforward with definite results process compared to normal (where there's only one waiting 2ww). Oh how wrong I was!!

@Purtyburty 🙏 hoping for this fresh one! There's still time before you hit 40s..

@Purtyburty According to studies, at 38, statistically the majority of embryos are likely to be euploid so you still stand a good chance... I wish I had started at your age! Best of luck🙏If you can get an acupuncture session before the transfer I'd give it a go

@TT82 PGT-A is like that everywhere, but what's more cruel is the aneuploidy rate for our age - contrary to women in 30's. But I'm trying not to let it get me - for the sake of better mental & egg & uterine health😇

@Caubabatko oh tell me that! 😭 I wish we didn't listen to a dr - o covid, vaccines, better wait.. I am statistician...so all those probabilities I really don't like, my DH says we only will be collecting eggs for 2 years to stand any chance 🙈 But here I agree with the acupuncture dr - fertility is not about statistics, but when the body feels ready and then you will find that one egg

@Purtyburty hope you’re feeling ok. If I’ve learnt anything it’s that you never know. Last time I was chatting with other women going through a cycle and one woman had one and got pregnant, the rest had many more and didn’t. It doesn’t make it easier I know..

@Caubabatko i have pcos yes but I have an average AMH level for my age. Last round we got 4 embryos, 3 failed and one miscarried. The only way is up I feel

Hi, just a quick update. Dr has just called me (even though appointment was for Thursday only, so I started panicking).. all 8 eggs were mature and fertilised, 4 got to blastocysts and all were biopsied for PGTA 🙏 She needs to know if to send them (package was min 4) or we want to wait for next EC..
Test will last 4-6 weeks, I am planning to do another as odds of getting a normal genetixally not on my side...
What do you think, should I send? If next time i have less then would do another or just send.. Wasn't ready for this outcome, she said grading is average though, not great but doesn't mean they are abnormal

@TT82 Great news of 8 fertilised -> 4 blasts. That's a fantastic survival rate! (Mine was 8 -> 2 and 13 -> 4)
Without hesitation I'd send all the four blasts for PGT-A and wait for the results before you make any more financial commitment to the next EC.
Even good looking embryos can have abnormal chromosomes, in which case they are likely to miscarry or fail to implant, and at our age statistically only 1 in 10 embryos will be euploid. BUT in my case with 43 yo eggs, we sent one embryo for PGT-A in May and it came back as negative (euploid) so keep hoping for the best!

I know your hands are tied with childcare, but I'd recommend arranging a free consultation with other clinics for a 2nd opinion whether or not it's realistic to travel abroad.

@BlueMumma2018 Is your EC happening soon? Fingers crossed for more eggs growing.
BTW I just received a newsletter from Rebecca Fett (It All Starts With The Egg) about Myo-Inositol for non-PCOS women - but it made me wonder whether you've been taking it?

They didn't send me report or grading, just said average but still there's hope some might be good..
This year traveling definitely impossible, as due to work and also son does lots of sport which I take care :( But this we already started discussing for next year planning with my husband.. As working with numbers unfortunately I understand I am here for a while 🙈

Hey @Caubabatko I trigger tonight for Wednesday morning. Had final scan this morning. 36 follicles with 27 looking mature. It looks good but won’t hold my breath. You just never know. I’m shocking myself with how neutral I’m being 🤪

My clinic advised to take a lot of protein from food source to help prevent OHSS after EC.

@TT82 Who knows, you might get lucky from those four blasts! 4-6 weeks is a long wait but if you aren't in a rush, you still have a good reserve. For some reason CZ lab does it in 3 weeks but A UK clinic said 5 weeks so it's probably the standard turnaround for genetic tests... Keep us posted!

@Caubabatko following egg collection I am definitely feeling more rough that first time around. On meds to prevent OHSS.

good news is I got 25 eggs, 19 mature, 16 fertilised possibly 17. I can’t believe it really but trying to stay neutral as you never know. Roll on day 5 🥹

You know, not relieved at all, the opposite! I was fine during waiting time as didnt have any updates at all, thought gor the worst.. Now oncr I had minimum required to send, got anxious they are all abnormal, or next time EC wont work etc 🤦🏻‍♀️ Might be my hormones dropping down now for the periods.. really stupid I know

@BlueMumma2018 Fantastic results! Guessing you're going to have a fresh transfer and freeze the rest? 25 eggs definitely sounds like a big OHSS risk and 25-fold progesterone for constipation! Give yourself a big pat on the back, take it easy - Post EC I listened to a sound bath for reproductive healing on YouTube. It might help!

@TT82 i know it is hard not to think of the worst. But I honestly think sometimes this whole thing has no pattern at all. Last time when my AMH was very high I got 16 eggs, 3 embryos that were transferable. This time my AMH has dropped dramatically and got more. It’s so confusing. Fingers and toes crossed for you x

Hey 👋🏻 thought I’d update. Of course the highs and lows continue.. my day 3 update. All 16 have made it to today but 12 are ‘poor quality’ and 4 are ‘average’ I was in Superdrug when they called and just stood there a crying mess. She said the 12 are likely to drop off and the certainty of the 4 are unknown. I feel like I wish I didn’t take the call and just waited for the day 5 because now I’m reading mixed things x

@BlueMumma2018 oh I feel your pain ❤️ now I see that the way my hospital does, no updates at all till all done after day 5, probably better for the mental health. What I read here on forums, still there's s chance some "poor" will catch up, and also "average " ones will be good day 5! 🙏

@Caubabatko @TT82 we had 4 ‘good quality’ blasts frozen yesterday, our clinic doesn’t do the usual grading. Thrilled to say the least. They were so so pessimistic on Saturday. I’m a little concerned over the huge drop off and wondering if this is a sign of a more serious issue, but 4 is more than good enough for me. I have no idea when I will be cycling again 🫣

@BlueMumma2018 well done 👏🏻 such a great news!! Did they tell you when is first FET? Don't worry about grading, they only freeze good ones.

@TT82 thank you 🙏🏻 they said I could have one on next cycle. But I’m moving house soon so might leave it until a bit later in the year. How are you?
