Create Fertility - Experiences

Hi 👋

I was hoping for people's experiences and thoughts on Create Fertility? I am considering them, so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I am currently going through a short protocol with high stims with another clinic, baseline scan showed 4-5 follicles (expected that as I have low AMH/low ovarian reserves) but through my high stimulation am only showing 1, maybe 2 follicles that are growing...so cycle is not looking great.

So I wanted to consider Create as they specialise in natural modified and mild IVF, but would appreciate feedback on people's experiences as we would be going in multi cycle with my low AFC/AMH and want to ensure it's the best decision in those circumstances.

@Doxy21 yep, the Gonal pens come in 300s and 900s and are for multiple use.

I've been told aim is 1 egg per cycle, so will see how it all pans out. I am ok at the moment, but of course, I may feel differently once I've commenced the cycle. It's all quite an emotional rollercoaster, really

@Sunflower360 sounds like there’s similar expectations for us which I think makes sense as we have similarities in circumstances I think

@Sunflower360 hello - the findings from the doctor was that the follicles did not grow together on my second cycle, hence the low egg count + risk of OHSS. He's recommended estrogen a week before starting injections next cycle. Fertilisation rate is low due to sperm morphology (we did ICSI but it was still a bit more severe this time). Nothing much we can do about the sperm, we are already taking all the recommended vitamins. No need for karyotype as we have opted for PGTA anyway, but if numbers do not improve next cycle (<4 embryos) then PGTA not recommended. I'm a little confused why you need karyotype tests - did they talk about PGTA to you?

@VSRCM sorry to hear that, but sounds like they have a plan. Interesting about the morphology issue, what is the morphology at the moment? I don't know much about ICSI at all but is that not meant to pick the best visual sperm?

@VSRCM was meaning to say have you queried about seeing the same Dr for consistency? Unless the clinic rotates the Drs between clinic's nationally? Not sure how it works in Birmingham clinic (think that's the one you mentioned you were at)

Hi, how is everyone? Karyotype is all clear for us...so unexplained infertility based on the advice... looking to start 3 x back to back natural modified cycles from next week and will see what my egg quality is like... at 37 going on 38 feeling bit nervous about that, but doing what I can diet and supplements wise and have done laat 4 months (if that makes any difference we shall see).

If anyone else out there is with Create please share experiences here. Good to share!

Hi @Sunflower360 sounds like we will be on a similar timeline possibly. I’m doing 3 x natural modified. I’m 38. Waiting for AF to arrive - thought would be here by now but no sign. Are you with St Paul’s?

@Doxy21 nope not with St Pauls although I have read positive reviews. I am due early next week...but just my luck I'll be late! Are you starting stims in day 5?

Same results as me @Sunflower360 I couldn’t decide whether I was pleased with that outcome or not, I don’t deal well with “unexplained” but at least it wasn’t more bad news!
My period has started tonight, 7 days early. Will call them tomorrow, no idea why it’s so early but guessing it’s all related to the last ivf cycle. Fingers crossed it’s not a bad sign and I’ll be OK to start my second cycle this month. Good luck with your first one!! X

@Sunflower360 i need a scan day 5 and then I think i get told when to take meds

@HopefulElle in my first IVF cycle I started early too (CD 24 when it is usually 28-30), so hopefully all is fine. @Doxy21 I would imagine you would start the stims on the same day as that cycle if all is well

Thanks @HopefulElle The first one was max stims...which has thrown my hormones out the last 2 cycles, but this cycle seems more normal. Will see what natural modified IVF does

Meds on the way and AF looked like it is around the corner so could well be starting mid-late next week! I'm on 150 Gonal f after the scan on day 4 or 5, with scans every other day

@HopefulElle was wondering, were you on Cetrodide to prevent ovulation? Was not sure if you were or not or whether you were doing un medicated natural IVF?

@Doxy21 with your meds what arrived? I appear to have 3 x cycles worth of pessaries but 1 x cycles worth of stims, ovulation preventing meds and ovulation inducing meds? Not sure if the fridge meds arrive each cycle. Also how many ovulation preventing meds do you have? I have x 5 days worth at the moment

Everything was refrigerated aside one box of tablets.

For 3 cycles I was meant to have:

9 Gonal F
15 Cetrotide
6 Ovitrelle
27 Antibiotics (I assume this was the non fridge)
3 Utrogestan

I got sent:

3 Gonal F
5 Cetrotide
2 Ovitrelle
9 Co-amoxiclav (non fridge)

And no utrogestan?! I don’t know what this is. Is that something they give at clinic after egg collection?

so yeah I only have meds for 1 cycle. Which I’m glad about as I’m hiding them in my fridge in cooler bags (we haven’t told family about ivf and they sometimes pop over).

When you have a transfer with Create (hoping I get that far!) are there medications for that too?

@Doxy21 good luck! Are you planning on doing the 3 cycles back to back?

@Doxy21 yep utrogesran is for transfer stage... I've got them so hopefully I get to that point otherwise it's a waste! In the grand scheme of things they were the cheapest out of all the meds I think so it's fine, in case we ended up needing more cycles I would just request not to order them again.

Had my day 5 scan yesterday and had a cyst (been having scans for fertility since 2021 and never had this before). Nurse told me not to start meds yesterday and I had some bloods done and a scan booked for Wednesday. She said if bloods ok they would tell me to start tomorrow (which is today). When do they normally call you about blood test results/when to start or vary stims? Grateful for any insight. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that @Doxy21 I'm as yet to start with Create. Currently trying to work out if I'm having a natural chemical pregnancy...if it is then I'm out this month until my next AF but I need to check with them
