Create Fertility - Experiences

1000 replies

Sunflower360 · 13/05/2023 07:41

Hi 👋

I was hoping for people's experiences and thoughts on Create Fertility? I am considering them, so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I am currently going through a short protocol with high stims with another clinic, baseline scan showed 4-5 follicles (expected that as I have low AMH/low ovarian reserves) but through my high stimulation am only showing 1, maybe 2 follicles that are growing...so cycle is not looking great.

So I wanted to consider Create as they specialise in natural modified and mild IVF, but would appreciate feedback on people's experiences as we would be going in multi cycle with my low AFC/AMH and want to ensure it's the best decision in those circumstances.

Thanks!

@VSRCM hope your scan went ok? I'm starting stims tonight.

How is everyone else getting on?

@Sunflower360 Not ready for collection yet 🙁today is day 11 and they have upped my gonal-F to 275 + given me some pills to prevent OHSS. I have another scan on Sat. If all goes to plan then collection on Monday.

Are you on gonal-f 225 + cetrotide?

Sunflower360 · 26/10/2023 18:05

@VSRCM oh no, sorry to hear that, but hopefully it'll mean you get mature eggs. Are they expecting quite a few eggs if their concerned about OHSS?

I'm going to start on 150 Gonal-f and then will see if it needs upping on day 6 to 225

@Sunflower360 I don’t think so, I’m worried there will be no eggs at all now! There are the 7 that they are focusing on, and a few more 10-12mm and under. They said my oestrogen level has gone up, so not sure how that relates to egg numbers?

Sunflower360 · 26/10/2023 19:12

I think that tells them how the follicles are developing @VSRCM If it's rising then the follicles are growing

Update from me, unfortunately its a no go this month as I have some residual cysts which are basically follicles from the last cycle, so will have to restart next month for them to disappear (as I've had back to back IVF cycles so far that can happen apparently). In all honesty that is fine as I have the worst cold right now so gives me a few weeks to shift it before restarting ... did not fancy transferring an embryo with feeling run down and ill

How is everyone doing?

I was advised if I start my period before 1st December then I could start the cycle before Christmas, in case anyone was in the same boat (suppose it would be done by mid December then). After that it would be a start in the new year

@Doxy21 are you hoping to re start end of this month too if I recall correctly? @VSRCM how did collection go?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 30/10/2023 12:13

Hi @Sunflower360 im taking this cycle off as husband is away. We were told that our clinic closed for Xmas but it seemed perhaps Wimbledon doesn’t so if transfer/collection needed closer to Xmas, embryos can be transferred and procedures undertaken at Wimbledon

Doxy21 · 30/10/2023 12:15

@Sunflower360 yep - my period should be here last week Nov so similar time to you and we will either hopefully have a 3 day embryo from
that cycle to transfer (with anything extra seeing if it develops to day 5 and then freezing) or will transfer our frozen day 3

Sunflower360 · 30/10/2023 12:15

That's good @Doxy21 it's good to have a break I think. Are you doing anything different next cycle?

OP posts:
HopefulElle · 30/10/2023 14:36

@Sunflower360 definitely good to have a break when you’re not feeling well, at least that and the cysts happened in the same month! Hope you’re feeling better soon.

@Doxy21 I have exactly the same plan as you, but decided on delaying until Jan (or next good month after that). Hopefully a break and a holiday helps me out!

Doxy21 · 30/10/2023 14:40

@HopefulElle that’s such a good plan and it means you can enjoy Xmas. I’m just in a rush as if I get to Jan I need to pay for all the virology tests again haha - this is an expensive business!

HopefulElle · 30/10/2023 15:18

@Doxy21 oh I hope that’s not the case for me, nobody mentioned that!

VSRCM · 30/10/2023 15:25

@Sunflower360 9 eggs collected this morning 🙂so I'm very pleased. But also not sure if ready for the rollercoaster news between tomorrow and day 5.. trying to focus on the good start for now.

I thought you were starting stims a few days ago, has it been delayed?

Sunflower360 · 30/10/2023 15:50

@VSRCM that's a good result! What is your AMH if you don't mind me asking?

I started stimulation for 4 days and because I was on mild the scan takes place on day 5 or 6. Turned out I still had residue follicles from the last cycle which can impact stimulation as it affects recruitment of new follicles. In all honesty I should have had a break, the Dr suggested a break but I steam rolled ahead, so it's my own fault. I've not had a break between the first 2 cycles so it's fine, just hope that AF arrives by 30th Nov now.

OP posts:
VSRCM · 30/10/2023 16:06

@Sunflower360 I think a break is useful (physically and mentally!) I had a break in Sept and feel that it's contributed positively to this retrieval. Hope all goes to plan for you in Nov!

AMH was 14.8 in Dec 2022. I'm sure it's worse now... but I have been eating really healthy (A LOT of walnuts and brazil nuts and everything google tells you to eat despite the bloatedness 😁)

Doxy21 · 30/10/2023 16:26

@HopefulElle they are valid for a year. I had them done at my old clinic.

HopefulElle · 30/10/2023 22:26

Thanks @Doxy21, I have a few months in that case.
Great results @VSRCM! hope you get a positive update too.

Sunflower360 · 31/10/2023 11:26

@VSRCM hope your day 1 update goes ok

OP posts:
VSRCM · 31/10/2023 12:56

Thanks @Sunflower360 it was good news this morning, 8 fertilised 🙏🏼 but they have booked me in provisionally for a day-3 transfer… Makes me think they aren’t looking too great… trying not to think about nothing until Thursday morning now.

Sunflower360 · 31/10/2023 12:58

@VSRCM that is good news! I would imagine they've booked you in for a day 3 transfer just in case between now and then something happened. I don't think they can tell on day 1 how they are, so you may find it'll change and become a day 5 transfer

OP posts:
VSRCM · 31/10/2023 13:30

Thanks @Sunflower360 🙂It’s like I don’t dare to be too happy this time because of the potential disappointment. I am relieved for now!

Doxy21 · 31/10/2023 16:10

@VSRCM i was told they will always do a 3 day transfer of the best embryo and then they let the rest go to day 5 and freeze as necessary

VSRCM · 31/10/2023 16:17

@Doxy21 That's good to know. I did ask and said I thought day-5s are more stable and have more chances, and then she said a lot of things but I couldnt understand/hear her very well over the phone.

I haven't had a day 3 before..
