IVF/ICSI/FET May 2023

Hi, I don't think there's a thread for May, not that I could find anyway.

I've just started Norethisterone to bring on AF ready for my FET. I had my ICSI cycle in Feb but was high risk for OHSS, so after retrieving 24 eggs, this clinic decided to freeze all.
Luckily, because I ended up very unwell with OHSS for around 6 weeks and ended up in hospital for a little while!

But I've recovered and soooo ready for my embabies! We're aiming for transfer week commencing 22nd May unless AF comes earlier than planned then it might be the week before. It's likely as I'm on CD46 with all the signs of imminent AF 🤞🏼

If anyone else is cycling in May please feel free to share the journey ✨

@Sj2505 just seen your update! amazing 😍 I hope that embryo sticks around! Didn’t realise you could get positives so early, it must be a good sign!

I've just tested at 4dp5dt. Faint line but I've no idea if it's remaining trigger or an evap. (Not convinced it has colour and it looked stark white negative at first if I'm honest). But we shall see. Not getting my hopes up and I'll test again in two days tomorrow.

@Ellenn thank you. I was looking at soo many progression tests on google and tiktok and some people started getting faint BFPs from 4/5dp5pt. Crazy! 🤩

I'm going to try not to test today as I'd rather see the difference over two days to be clearer I think (easier said than done)

Yes @Sj2505 I'm off for collection today. Keeping fingers crossed it goes well. Hope you manage not testing today if that's what you want. Equally, don't beat yourself up if you do - we've all been there!

Got the call today and only 2 embryos are usable so one will be put in and the other frozen. A bit disappointed we didn't get more from 9 embryos, but both are top quality so hopefully it sticks! Just got to keep zen now! 😵‍💫 I slept so badly last night so already worried that will not help things.

Good luck @FlapJackered ! I know how you feel re the numbers as I had 21 follicles, 8 eggs and then 3 embryos but then one into me and two in the freezer, and it felt like a big drop off, but two top quality shots is really positive! Got everything crossed for you 🤞🏼

Good morning!! I just had my embryo transfer, what a powerful experience has been ♥️ my embryo is graded 5AA and I have other 5 frozen embryos rated between 5AA and 5AB. I am over the moon. How are you all doing?

I caved again! I was going to be so strong and wait until tomorrow but my fiancé has the breaking strain of a KitKat, and we ended up convincing each other 😆
Thankfully it has got darker, and more solid 😍

This was my test from this morning (it wouldn't let me upload it earlier). Like I said it could well be from the trigger still. Or an evap. Because if I'm being honest with myself it doesn't seem to have any colour. I've never had an evap before with a frer but I have seen plenty of people having them online. So. We shall see!

Exciting day for everyone! Hope all the transfers go smoothly 🥰 not going to lie I’m slightly jealous 🙈

we just got the phone call about our embryos and I was blown away was hopeful for maybe 3 but we actually got x6 very high quality and a further embryo lower quality frozen. They will give final update tomorrow as have three which they want to give another day 😁😁 so I’m going to celebrate with some wine tonight!

im 2DP5DT and trying to hold out as long as possible for testing 😂 knowing that there is literally no point at the moment is helpful but once I get out to 7DPT I think it’s going to be very difficult!

I also started worrying because I picked my dog up yesterday for a cuddle without thinking and I’m worried I broke the no heavy lifting rule, but she’s only 10kg and doesn’t feel heavy to me 😳 does anyone think that was a big error? “heavy” is such a subjective term 😓

@Sj2505 and @hereshoping123 I'd like to say I'll wait a few days before testing again, but I normally have zero willpower. Ridiculous because I KNOW testing this early and so often is pointless yet I just keep on doing it.....
