Hi, I don't think there's a thread for May, not that I could find anyway.

I've just started Norethisterone to bring on AF ready for my FET. I had my ICSI cycle in Feb but was high risk for OHSS, so after retrieving 24 eggs, this clinic decided to freeze all.
Luckily, because I ended up very unwell with OHSS for around 6 weeks and ended up in hospital for a little while!

But I've recovered and soooo ready for my embabies! We're aiming for transfer week commencing 22nd May unless AF comes earlier than planned then it might be the week before. It's likely as I'm on CD46 with all the signs of imminent AF 🤞🏼

If anyone else is cycling in May please feel free to share the journey ✨

@Quickdraw23 I'm so glad your transfer went well and wasn't painful, and fantastic that you have some to freeze as well! Hope the TTW doesn't drag on for too long!

@FrostedFlake try not to worry too much - it's hard though I know! Just to give you a bit of reassurance, I had 18 follicles on baseline scan but when I went for my scan before the trigger, they said to expect a maximum of 14 eggs but could be lower. I had some that were way below the threshold. However, in the 36 hours they must have caught up because they ended up collecting 18 eggs and 17 of them were mature! There seems to be quite a lot of growth in that last 36 hours! Try and relax and do something nice for yourself today and good luck for tomorrow 😊

hopefully we will hear how many embryos we can freeze tomorrow, although I’m trying to be optimistic last time we only had 20% left after fertilisation. Do other clinics have a rule on grading for freezing? Ninewells have told me they will only freeze embryos BB and above. I know less chance with a poorer grade but I didn’t think it was 0% chance!

Still in the dark when we will be able to do our frozen transfer. Sometimes I wonder if they realise how much anxiety/stress we have when you have no idea 🤷‍♀️ the nurse said yesterday I will have to be on waiting list again which seems unfair 😥

@Ellenn Yeah our clinic is the same regarding the freezing.

I'm so sorry they've told you have to go back on the waiting list. That's so unfair. I've quite often felt like we're being punished for having to have a freeze all :( The least they can do is bring you up the queue.

@TheBirdintheCave i suppose maybe the poorer grades don’t freeze that well and are only suitable for fresh transfers.

Thanks, I’ve tried to email the secretary so I can at least get a rough timescale of what month we can do the transfer in. It’s such a long journey and difficult when things go a bit wrong. It’s so silly cause you’d already thought things through if it actually might work. Hopefully I get my withdrawal bleed soon and get back to cycling 🤞would be amazing if we could do it on our first proper cycle like you but I highly doubt that’s going to be the case 😭

I have been lurking on here for a while as also had a round of IVF this month, it resulted in a freeze all for me too as I developed a high risk for OHSS with my blood levels and the amount of eggs collected. Just wanted to say thinking of you all during your 2ww, and looking forward to getting to that point after my next period !!

The embryologist was surprised to see that it had started hatching so I guess that would help it to implant quicker. I've had lots of twinges, aches and pains between 1-3dpt but they had settled a bit today to just slight, non-painful twinges, so hopefully that was the bulk of implantation??
I'm cautiously excited! I won't get too excited until I see line progression 😍

Ps. As usual, it's slightly darker than that in real life

@Sj2505 the biggest congrats!! I can’t definitely see it in both pics! This is wonderful news! I know what you mean about not getting excited early but also it is there so you are PUPO!

Great news your transfer went smoothly @Quickdraw23 Hope the TWW doesn't drag too long. I found the wait between collection and transfer worse weirdly. Brilliant you've got 2 in the freezer too!

@Ellenn we've never frozen any but im not aware of our clinic having restrictions. Im sure there would be some rationale behind it though? It does seem quite brutal as lower grades can often become viable pregnancies, but as someone else said, perhaps they don't freeze/defrost as well?

@Sj2505 have you had a negative test before this one? I only ask because your trigger (if you did a fresh cycle) will result in a positive test. 4dp would be early for that line but not impossible. Will hope it is the real deal but equally don't panic if it's lighter tomorrow - it could be the trigger fading.

@SErunner I had a FET, my trigger was 11 days ago. It was 6,500IU so should (hopefully) easily be out of my system by 7-10 days. But I'm staying reserved until I see progression.

@Sj2505 I got a true positive last year 5dp5dt so sounds very promising 🤞🤞everything crossed for you. I didn't notice massive difference in the lines only every 2 days I'd notice it getting darker. Nonetheless I still took tests everyday 😂
