Morning Ladies’,

haven’t been on for a week or so, just been pretty busy and sleeping when not working lol.

Hoping everyone is doing okay, and sending you all lots of luck through the different stages🍀.

I have egg retrieval on Monday, earlier than I expected but that’s okay, I appear to have about 10 good follicles at the moment and a couple more that they think will develop before Monday. It’s my first time so not sure if that is low or not but hoping it’s enough. X

CR7 · 21/04/2023 11:03

@Fizzle1987 it's about quality not always quantity xx try to rest and read back for some tips xx we are all here

Fizzle1987 · 21/04/2023 11:54

Fingers crossed for good quality then 👌🏼. I’m kind of in the middle of feeling positive and neutral as I don’t want to get my hopes up too much but I also don’t want to be really negative.

I have been drinking water like there is no tomorrow and have been getting early nights so I’m pretty well rested, I am out tomorrow night which will be a late one but I’m going to relax all day tomorrow before we go and chill out Sunday too, so hopefully that all helps. Doing my last injections and my trigger injection tomorrow whilst out will be fun 🤦🏼‍♀️.

How is everything going with you? Xx

Vallef · 21/04/2023 12:01

@Fizzle1987 try not to worry at my scan before egg collection I was told one number and then on collection I had another 10 eggs added to what they thought initially so give it a last push and really rest as your ovaries take a hit before egg collection they get heavy. Also try and give it a push with eating at least 60g pf protein I actually think that helped me in this round (4th) as I got AA quality and it was the only different thing I did and avoid red meat!

Vallef · 21/04/2023 12:02

@CR7 how you feeling hun?

CR7 · 21/04/2023 12:13

@Fizzle1987 @Vallef just doing my drug admin ha! I hate doing it so I do two weeks at a time.

All ok here. Working Sunday and Monday and then off for my transfer on Tuesday with two weeks off afterwards.

Feeling ok really. Have done this so many times there's no unknown anymore which I think is very helpful to me. Getting to grips with the inhixia and the steroids which are new to me but finding them ok so far.

I am going to stay with my friend and her beautiful dog for a week in the lakes which is the best medicine and then we just hope.

I'll test on Sunday 7th.

Very much enjoying some of the videos I've found on YouTube saying the two week wait is not about best rest and only eating quinoa ha.

As you said trying to be positive but not too positive. Positively realistic maybe?

I also have a black tie thing tomorrow night which means taking my pessary out in my handbag again but I've done that before so I don't really mind. Not ideal but can't be helped xx

Can I hop on this? 4th try after one where I got no blasts, a failed fresh, a frozen ending in a chemical and now being told I had only 3 follicles on my scan on Monday and thinking it was over to finding out today I have 15! Egg collection Wednesday or Friday ☺️

CR7 · 21/04/2023 12:24

Welcome @StaceyWS88 xx what a journey for you

CR7 · 21/04/2023 12:28

Oh wow 😯 aw I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed for Tuesday!! Xx

Fizzle1987 · 21/04/2023 14:22

@CR7 @Vallef I best get eating plenty of chicken then, which is not an issue as i love it 👌🏼. I honestly feel quite relaxed at the moment, I appear to have been lucky and have not been particularly symptomatic with the injections which has probably helped. So just going to
try and stay in a relaxed state, even tomorrow isn’t stressing me now as my cool bag came this week so I’m not worrying about keeping my meds cold and I can just slip off to inject and no one will notice as they will all be drunk 🤣.

@CR7 the 2 weeks off after transfer and the Lake District sound like the best plan, keeping everything crossed for you. Xx

Vallef · 21/04/2023 14:40

@CR7 I love it ur so organised lol my admin consists of my phone pinging when to take the meds but luckily am only on salospir pill(inhixa), utrogestan, cyclacur and first day following the transfer yesterday 1 injection called lubion. They wanted me to do pessaries bit had so many Injections so thought why suffer further with bloody pessaries. Your rest at the lake sounds amazing hun will take ur mind of the wait. Just be careful with the dog so it doesn't jump on you or make you trip. I go for progesterone blood test tomorrow and test on the 29th.

Vallef · 21/04/2023 14:42

Welcome @StaceyWS88 :) good luck for Wednesday or Friday will get here before u know it! Remember to rump up your protein intake!

Vallef · 21/04/2023 14:46

@Fizzle1987 can I recommend rather than sticking to chicken that you do some chickpeas their an amazing high source of protein, quinoa, lentils and most important egg whites I was told to eat eggs every day if I can. There's some gd recipes with chickpeas with tahini and lemon :) also also some beef liver is high in iron and some other stuff. After transfer its nor gowever recommended due to extremely high vitamin A content. Apparently its poisonous to the embryos.

We’re going away for the weekend and I messaged my husband earlier telling him to pack the protein powder 😂

CR7 · 21/04/2023 17:17

@StaceyWS88 thank you xx

Such a good idea. I hope you have a lovely break!

My most recent scan is 15 follicles and most of them are small, eh.

That’s good! I heard people talking 25/30 and freaked out a bit. Loads of them are really small though so not sure they’ll get there.

@BiscuitLover3678 Don't beat yourself up. High numbers don't always mean anything. Take it a day at a time xx

I always had low numbers but they all got to blast

They grow quickly though! Mine are very mixed so thinking some aren’t going to be any good, either too big or too small xx

IVFfirsttimer91 · 21/04/2023 23:28

15 is a good number @BiscuitLover3678 any more than that and they may delay your transfer anyway (as in my case, I had more than that and they said I’d be too high a risk for OHSS if they did a fresh transfer) so I’d be super happy with that. Best of luck! So excited for you!

I'm on day 4 of stims. I flared up with a rash the day before I started on stims and it has come and gone everyday since. Has anyone else experienced a rash. It's on my hands, arms, stomach and thighs intermittently. Good luck to all going through this journey.
