Hi all,

I'm about to start my first IVF ICSI cycle. I expect to start my stims next week and all being well will have a fresh transfer in April.

Looking for buddies to come on this journey with me.

@charja100 My clinic was 13dp5dt aswell but when I contacted them with a negative result on day 11 they confirmed that a negative urine result would be accurate at that point. 13 days felt like an awful long time to wait!

@MRSLMF it's so tough! That was I thinking, to test on either 10 or 11dp5dt.I had implantation bleeding 4dp5dt and tested from day 5 on my last fresh cycle. I got a positive on day 6 and then realised it was a chemical when I started getting red bleeding and then day 7 I had full flow even though I was on progesterone. That's why they've changed my protocol to put me straight on Lubion ahead of transfer and I'm still on lubion once a day and 2 x cyclogest. I'm glad I tested early as we wouldn't have known to change my protocol on my first transfer of not. It did really devastate me, I think I was the typical ivf hopeful newbie who hoped they'd get their miracle first try.

I feel bloated on progesterone, and I know progesterone cause cramps, but today I've started getting that heavy stretching pulling sensation again. I had this last time and it's making me so nervous I'm about to go through the exact same scenario.

@Flowerlover010 thinking of you. Any news on dates on getting something booked in? Hope you're okay.

@VioletCookie hope works going okay and things are getting easier with the new guy? How are you getting on with the wait?

@Flower356 @charja100 thanks for asking. Im really struggling mentally. My biggest challenge is trying to stay calm and busy but my mind is thinking of nothing else. I rang EPU and they are not concerned enough to scan me straight away but have booked me in for the earliest to 6 weeks they could which is sunday. Part of me wants it now, part of me doesnt want it too early. My main worry now is that the pregnancy is in the right place as i feel pretty scared it isnt. So im hanging on to the fact they weren't concerned to do it now but 5 more days is agony. If the pain gets any worse i am to call otherwise its just wait. Luckily its not any worse, just constant. Anyway we are used to all this waiting arent we!!

@charja100 My first and only symptom was cramping which obviously hasnt stopped. When do you think you will test this time? Its such a tough one to call.

P.s. i asked if the progesterone could be causing my cramping but they seemed to think not likely

@Flowerlover010 thanks for your note. Really interesting to hear that they think it's unlikely that it's progesterone causing cramping. I feel like my clinic told me it could be a symptom of the meds. Who knows.

Great news you have the scan booked at EPU, everything crossed for you. The unknown really is the hardest part of this journey. I think it's good you've not scanned too early as I think it's a bit like testing to early... if there's doubt over the result and you have to test again later to be certain.

Really not sure when I'll test this time, I thought about testing this morning as I woke up and had had really vivid dreams last night, but then I changed my mind. I think il happy on my PUPO bubble at the moment.

@charja100 ive had extremely vivid dreams for over a week now, i think progesterone does that. I also always got them a couple of days before my period (again progesterone). I also think stress can cause it. Im 100% certain im having a mc now. My tests arent particularly getting stronger. I had a bad feeling from the start and i think im right. I still think all the cramping is a mc and the reason im not bleeding is the progesterone but i just have to wait.

@Flowerlover010 it's so difficult to know until you have the scan, and only you know your body and how it feels. I've not been pregnant or felt what you're feeling, but I understand how you feel be aUs I knew my last cycle was ending as a chemical. I knew it had implanted, but just could feel it wasn't progressing and was ending.

Don't give up hope though. I have read lots of women say that they had cramps and but have them gone on to have successful pregnancy's. It's so tricky because our brains want an answer one way or another and can drive us to believe something is true when it isn't, especially if it's trying to protect us.

Is there anything you can do to take your mind off of it all for the next few days?

Hi guys! 10 eggs collected this afternoon I'm so pleased but now the anxiety of will they fertilise/will they get to blast.....does this anxiety every end haha!

@MRSLMF yay! Congratulations! How are you feeling after EC?

I'm sat here in my TWW symptom spotting like anything 🤣 I'm so impatient. I was worried about some cramps I was having 4dp5dt which were similar to my last failed transfer, and that it would end the same way. But there's no spotting or bleeding yet this time like last so I'm talking that as a positive. Other than that I'm just counting down the days 😂

Had to double drop my dose of cyclogest tonight as I went for a dog walk and got caught short the minute I walked through the door 🙈 it's something every day at the moment!! 🤣

Thanks @charja100 surprisingly I'm very bloated and like a pressure discomfort down below! I was absolutely fine after last EC but then last time we only collected 4 eggs. What day post transfer are you? Have you decided if to test earlier than day13? Xxx

@MRSLMF let us know how your update goes tomorrow! So pleased for you that it's a strong start. That's all very natural. They say lots of water really helps so keep hydrated!

@charja100 fifteen weeks today 😳 can't quite believe it. Still got no symptoms at all. Got a private scan booked on Friday for reassurance as not had a scan for close to a month. Just to check everything is still ok. Half in denial but half getting excited. Not buying anything and not reading any particular books but in a few weeks I'll probably post my first question on here asking for must have baby items as I would rather trust some of the people on here than random reviews on google where people may have been paid xx

@RunningOnHope Wow 15 weeks, so amazing. I think it's time to start getting excited but completely understand how hard that is too. The private scans are a smart way to maintain peace of mind. If I'm ever lucky enough to get to that point I think I'd likely do the same. Not a bad shout on the baby items piece. I've never paid attention to anything like that as it's easier to avoid it all.

@charja100 same. I think with our journeys it's hard to believe it's real and actually happening. It's the worry and having had such sadness along the road. Your heart won't let you be happy xx

@CR7 congrats on 15 weeks! I suppose the anxiety never really goes away with this journey! I also think private scans are a great idea for peace of mine they're not expensive either which is great! Unlike everything else fertility related 🤣

Great news! 8 fertilised and 1 showing partial signs of fertilisation so they'll keep a little eye on that one 💕

Just catching up, another busy few days at work! @charja100 I'm feeling your anxiety over this TWW! I shouldn't encourage this, but I tested positive at 6DP5DT all 3 times so I think it's possible, but also not game over if it doesn't show as still very early. How do you feel? New guy is OK thanks, really flapping though and not listening so my patience was wearing thin today. I've told everyone to work from home tomorrow so I can have some peace 🤣 Nearly the weekend thankfully and we've had plans cancel on Saturday which I'm so happy about! How's your work been?

@Flowerlover010 hows your anxiety been? It must be such a stressful couple of weeks with your history, I really hope this time is different. Are you OK?

@VioletCookie I couldn't resist any longer and tested this morning - 7dp5dt and negative. I was positive by this point on my last round so feeling like chances are that it's not worked for us this round. Will leave it now and test in another 3/4 days glad to not have my hopes up too much, I find the disappointment too crushing when it's too hyped up to one moment. This way I can prepare mentally.

I didn't feel like it had tbh. Feeling a bit sad but accepting it for what it is as I don't think it'll change at this point.

I have a christening to go to this Sunday and I really don't want to go. I'm struggling being surrounded by so many pregnancy announcements and pregnant people at the moment. And I know there's going to be lots of acquaintances there who'll be asking us why we'd not in their "club yet" but it's one of my best friend baby's christening and I want to be there for her

Works my distraction. The pregnant llady I manage is on leave for a week. Pleased at this point it's another pregnant person out of the way for a bit. Although means I have her workload.

Already started calculating when they're likely to let me start the next round.

Oh bless you being surrounded by so many pregnant people, it's like a slap in the face everytime. My best friend had a baby 5 weeks ago and it took me 3 weeks to muster the courage to visit and say hello to the little cutiepie 💖

Hey girls sorry for the silence. Ive been really struggling. Last 2 days the pain has upped a notch in waves and found i needed to give in to paracetamol and a hot water bottle (although not too hot is what i was told, whats a not too hot water bottle??) It felt exactly the same as MC pain for me now (whereas before it was just dull) so i have been fully expecting bleeding to start, to the point ive been wearing liners but still nothing! Its literally driving me nuts now. I cant see how cramping for 12 days now is ok. Anyway fully expecting bad news sunday, 2 more fucking terrible sleeps.

@charja100 i know everyone will say this to you that 7 days is early but one thing ive really learnt is every pregnancy is different and hcg levels can be different levels for each one so u might find it comes up later but i also totally get you trying to let yourself down gently, im the same. Thinking of you its so hard.

Morning ladies ! ❤️just been reading through all your posts to see how everyone's journeys are going.Mentally I needed some time away from IVF and all baby related stuff for the last three months, hence the radio silence. But we've decided to do two more rounds before I'm 42 at the end of the year. Just had my drugs delivered for the third round , mixed emotions but not feeling very positive. @MRSLMF congratulations on Ur 8 eggs fertilising ...great number!!! Thinking of you guys on your 2ww it's such a horrible time ... How we all put ourselves through it time after time without going insane.... Everyone is soo brave @charja100 @Flowerlover010
