Wanted to start a group for those who are due to start treatment in March.

Good news here today that embryology rang this morning and told me we had a late fertilisation on our remaining egg and that has caught up - so all 3 embryos are currently on Day 3, they have moved my transfer to Day 5, fingers crossed at-least one makes it 🤞🥰.

@Irisjj I'm not sure what my follicles where but I'm probably not a good one to go by as I had way less folicles and eggs than expected at EC. On Day 9 I remember I had a 17 follicles and some where at 15, 14, 13x 2 and a 12 I think. They where supposed to get the 10-11mm ones to catch up but don't think they did. I had my EC on Day 13. X

Hey all. Sorry I haven’t updated since my first post.. I really struggled being on the pill with severe anxiety, it’s gone now thankfully after stopping it! I had my first injection of overlap last night, we couldn’t work out how to do it initially I think we were just flustered..but got there in the end!
This may seem a silly question but can we still have baths whilst going through this treatment? And hot water bottles? I’ve tried to look online but can’t see much on there!

Also, did anyone else get tummy pain soon after ovaleap? It’s sort of an uncomfortable feeling, the feeling of bloatedness but without the bloat, yet! Xx

Hope everyone's week is going ok. We got the news this morning that we had 4 blasts of freezable quality, so one fresh transfer and three on ice. I've been pretty calm and pragmatic about our chances so far, but I'm feeling kind of irrationally hopeful today. It's much better than we had expected. Wishing similar good news for you all.

I'm going to be trying out Hannah Pearn's TWW course. Let you all know how that goes. Has anyone done it before?

Had our final update before transfer on Monday afternoon
We have 11 fertilised 🥳 we only got 5 last time! all 1 are developing well but 3 are behind the rest
So hoping we will get a fresh transfer and a few too freeze which is beyond my wildest dreams

@Banbi that's great news! Good luck. Haven't heard of her but I had reflexology on Thursday (as thought transfer was fri) and I have pre and post transfer accupuncture booked in for tomorrow.

The TWW course is an online course my acupuncturist recommended to me. Lots of meditation and coping strategies it seems, but I've only just started. Worksheets, videos, audios.

How do you find reflexology @LittleDoveLove? I see my acupuncturist regularly for acupuncture, acupressure and massage, but haven't tried other alternative therapies.

@Banbi I love it, I think it actually helped me to conceive my past 2 pregnancies (unfortunately ended in miscarriage) but I used to do reflexology and just before ovulation and in the two week wait. It really relaxes me. I can't have it post transfer though x

@ObsidianDeck I’m also planned for retrieval tomorrow - my estradiol is above 2500 but we were going for freeze all anyways. Hopefully they can give you some clarity! Im also at risk for OHSS.

They forgot the Day light saving time so I triggered too late!! This morning we got it sorted out and luckily they could push my procedure by one hour for tomorrow..
Hopefully the eggs will be good.. I had already 4 over 21mm and one of 25 so there is a risk they are over mature.

I’m a little nervous for tomorrow but sure it will be fine. Just having so much more respect for everyone going thru this. Happy we have this little community- my friends are trying to support but they have a hard time understanding what you are going through..

Good luck tomorrow @Irisjj! I also have such respect for anyone going through this too because it’s so hard, not necessarily physically (although that too!!) but the emotional toll! I don’t think people that haven’t been through it can understand always.

I’m ok thank you. Completely OHSS symptom free which is what they were worried about. Had a blood test yesterday and a nurse from the clinic just called to say that “something” was elevated, and so they want to repeat the bloods tomorrow and make sure it’s come back down. She didn’t know what the “something” was and when pushed to look it up, she couldn’t pronounce it so I have no idea. She tried to say oh it’s pretty typical, etc etc, but the phone call just annoyed me if I’m honest!! I think when dealing with people in this situation you really do have to know why you’re calling, and what the impact is, otherwise it just causes concern.

Still, supposedly still booked in for a transfer tomorrow if we have any suitable embryos. Our clinic don’t give any update from initial fertilisation until day 5, so will just have to see when I get there tomorrow.

@Irisjj hey, I’m doing good. First scan tomorrow and should be starting the injections. I’m on the short protocol so it’s a bit bananas to think I will be on egg collection next week.

I had an embryo transferred today but I'm feeling a bit low as it was a Grade 3BC so chances aren't as good as a high grade embryo. However I'm sending positive vibes to them. My niece was a Day 3 Grade 3 so hoping we still stand a chance 🤞.
I have one at the blast/morula stage, and one at morula, so tomorrow I will find out if any have progressed and suitable for freezing.
The one that was ahead on Day 3 isn't the one that was ahead on Day 5 so they do seem to jump about a bit development wise don't they! X

@LittleDoveLove From what I've read (googled!) - the grading isn't an exact science and like you've said, plenty of examples where a non-high grade has been successful. Congratulations to getting to transfer is what I say, and wishing you all the luck for the next two weeks (and beyond!) x

Hi everyone, hope people are all managing to distract themselves during the waiting (honestly, everything we do for these treatments seems to be a series of wait and wonder...)

I had my second FET this week and I'm now 4dp5dt. So I guess pupo. I am trying not to get my hopes up this time since last time was a BFN, but since this is a 4AA it's hard not to overthink everything and get a little bit excited.

I was also convinced I would not test early this time but ofc what did I go out and buy already? Only six tests. Crazy. They told me otd is the 20th, but assuming it's a 5 day embryo (I don't know, but it was definitely a blast) then I think I might test on the 15th... well the worst that can happen is I keep testing each day.

I see a few names I remember from the January thread and you are all in my thoughts. Sending lots of virtual glue for sticky embryos to everyone. xx

@SummerS2 This was the same for me, regarding the drugs: I became very depressed, tired and anxious when I first started taking them which is very unlike me: Luckily after a week, it all settled down and I felt normal again, but it was very scary!

@Greenlee oh good luck to you too! I am now day 5 of tww and in the beginning the seconds minutes hours days passed slowly but now they are a bit better: Its weird how they put the egg in and then you feel nothing and then you just go about your daily routine, it took a while to get used to it

@MrsWatson84 yes re grading, I don't think its all its cracked up to be, have you listened to the BFN podcast? It is very insightful and they had one episode with an embroyologist who said looking at them can only tell us so much and there is so much we don't know

Hi everyone. I know its a big week for lots of us so good luck to you!

iam so disheartened. from the 11 good ones on Saturday this morning there is only one good enough to be transfered (2BB) she is giving the others till tomorrow to see if any can be frozen but didn't sound very hopeful.

I have cried all morning and didn't want to go for my transfer as it feels like such a waste.

But my husband has said there is one we could have had none . so I need to find the positives. it's just really hard when there's so much negative at the end of each round.

I was so positive and optimistic and I generally feel shit now. I let that little bit of hope creep in and started thinking about names/telling people

it's such a shit situation.

iv had my accupunture and just showered ready to go but my hearts just not in it now

I must ask and sorry if I’m being ignorant here but if you conceived naturally you could have an grade of an egg and not know. Right? So we just have more information doing ivf?
