Wanted to start a group for those who are due to start treatment in March.

I haven't told my normal gp or self referred to the midwife yet. Want to get my early scan done and if all is ok then, will then register with the midwife. I'm just too anxious to do it before then!

My scan was due to be the 13th as well but moved to the 14th when hubby will be at home. I almost don't want to go through as just so petrified they will say it's not viable.

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well and lots of luck to those waiting for EC or results.

We are able to collect 4 blasts - 1 good and 3 average. I’m so relieved, the 5/6 day wait was killing me. I get now how people say the waiting is the worst thing!

I’m still very new to this so for those of you that have been through this before, is an average blast still a contender or unlikely to get me through to a full term pregnancy? I didn’t ask for full scoring as tbh, I think that would just stress me out more at the moment. Xx

@Katie12444 hiya, that's a fab result from your collection!

Not me personally as I'm on my first run but I've read on other threads that folks have been successful with their average and lower quality so don't discount them :) I think its great you didn't ask for full grading, you don't want to over think it!

When are you transferring?

I read this article on embryo grading this morning and found it very helpful. What I took from it is that an average blast is still definitely a contender.

Congratulations on your 4 blasts, that's amazing!
I'm 3 days post EC and still have 4 in the running, but I know there can be another big drop day 3-5 so trying not to get too hopeful. Are you having fresh transfer or freeze all?

Thanks all for your messages about my EC. It went really well, we got 17! Obviously they are now concerned about OHSS so I have to monitor my symptoms carefully but feeling absolutely fine at the moment just a little sore.

Wow @Sd183 18 eggs is amazing! No wonder you were feeling very uncomfortable in the lead up. Hope you have time for a good rest. I still feel bruised 3 days after so think it's definitely important to rest up x

@Jupiteer i won’t lie I cried I was so shocked. I’m worried about OHSS of course but the clinic didn’t seem to be too concerned.

@Katie12444 congrats that is amazing. I only have average blasts, not even a "good" one. But my clinic said that they are very strict.

Just had my options conversation and my doc says there is a 60-70% chance per transfer for me. Sounds high with all of my previous miscarriages, but I have to stay hopeful!

@Sd183 congrats, take it easy. Drink a lot of elektrolytes - def. helped me with the bloating after EC and minimizing the risk of OHSS.

I also have the ball rolling- Im able to do my check this Thursday so I can take my meds with me when I travel home to NL to fix our visa's. We have a potential transfer date for the 11th of May - im so excited that we are finally going - just a bit scared of the daily intermuscular Progesterone shots......

@Lyrabee thanks, that’s really helpful. Sometimes it can just feel like information overload. I’m going down the route of FET so not until June time I think. How about you?

@Irisjj thanks, that’s great news and it gives me hope! Literally the number of different hoops to go through is insane. Do you know when you will have your transfer?

Just to update that we just got the call and we have 13 fertilised with 2 that are maybes and need a bit more time. I am obsessively worrying about OHSS right now though!

@Sd183 they put me at very high risk of OHSS after my EC and I was a freeze all but they prescribed me with 2 weeks worth of Fyremadel and a weeks worth of tablets (can’t remember the name!) and after 2 days of cramps I felt fine (just took about a week for the weight retention and bloating to fully go down)

@Katie12444 I have my transfer tomorrow! Nervous about finding out how many have made it to D5 blast but excited to be closer to pregnancy than we have ever been, 3yrs TTC and have never had a positive test. I was initially booked for a freeze all but collected less than they initially thought so changed their minds and opted for fresh. I'm sure the wait is frustrating with a freeze all but definitely worth it not to get very ill from ohss.

@Katie12444 I had my first fresh transfer earlier this month but it didn't work for us this time.
Got my appointment to go over everything on the 18th and assume it'll be about end May that we will try with a frozen as we have a couple in storage.

@Irisjj I'm currently doing the lubion progesterone injections daily - nothing to worry about :)
@Jupiteer Yes day 5 tomorrow. We get a call to say whether the one other fertilised we have is a blastocyst or a fail - not optimistic.
Also, very pessimistic about the result of this fresh embryo transfer , for when I do the pregnancy test the end of next week - I'm just not hopeful at all.
Relaxing, spending time with friends etc, but I can't help thinking after all the negatives we've had in the past, that we'll be back to square one again . It worries me aswell seeing so many others that have more than 10 fertilised, when we only had 2. But , of course I am grateful for that chance.
We'll see - time will tell!
Still slow on my feet because it is still tender and bloated in my abdominal area.
Does anyone know anybody that has ever had a successful first round of ivf FET?

clinic having a review meeting in next couple of days which we will hear about on Monday and decide on next steps from there. Husband and I keen to try again but just such a tough process.

Sorry to hear your sad news @Jcl22 hope you can have a nice time over Easter and feel a bit better.
I had my transfer today and OTD is the 14th. It's going to be a long few days! Keep veering between confidence it will work and being sure it won't! I'm sure it will be like this the whole time. Feeling grateful to have gotten to this point though.

@ESWill I hope you had good news about your other embryo?was your transfer today or have you already had a D3?

@Jupiteer My transfer for Monday, so on a 2WW now. Today is day 5. They're calling tomorrow to tell us about the other embryo.

@GIJOJO - I 100% agree.. the wait is horrible, can't help thinking the worst case scenario.

@Katie12444 yes!! 11th of March. Have my baseline tomorrow hopefully I’ll get cleared so I can start Lupron on the 13th of April 🎉 any update for you and if you need the surgery?

@Irisjj I’ve got an appointment on Tuesday. I think it’s very likely they will want to remove it under general 😬 exciting that you have a start date. Although what is Lupron? That is a new one to me… is it a specific one for FET? In which case, hope to see it soon!
