Well. I've got a positive pregnancy test to go with my positive COVID test. I'm... not really sure how I feel. A bit numb I think. I know how lucky I am. Part of me is hopeful to know that it can work at least as far as implantation, but I'm not particularly hopeful for this specific pregnancy given my past early miscarriage. Conflicted.

Wishing sticky beans to everyone on here x

MaybeBabyTwo · 24/03/2023 12:13

Congratulations @Banbi . Hope all continues well for you x

Sd183 · 24/03/2023 13:03

Huge congratulations @Banbi !

MrsWatson84 · 24/03/2023 14:08

@Banbi congratulations! That’s really great news. I imagine pregnancy after a loss is very anxiety inducing. Take care of yourself x

LF82 · 24/03/2023 14:11

@Banbi congrats! Keep looking after yourself

Stopthatnoisemummy · 24/03/2023 18:00

@Jcl22 great news, hope the transfer went well

@Banbi congrats

Irisjj · 24/03/2023 20:02

@Banbi congrats!!
@Jcl22 hopefully this is your little magic bean ❤️

everyone doing an FET, how long did you have to wait between retrieval and FET? And were you on Lupron?

They just told me I probably don’t have a transfer before the end of May! I was a bit shocked. Apparently there are a lot of checks as well before you do the transfer? They want me to use Lupron but I am traveling for 1,5 weeks in April and now that delays everything 😭

Curious if there is some more info about protocols for FET!

MaybeBabyTwo · 24/03/2023 20:06

@Irisjj I'm no help to you because I had a baby in between so not the same sort of gap.

Could you travel and take some medication with you? I'm sure the waiting and juggling is one of the hardest parts of this whole process.

MS2692 · 24/03/2023 20:48

Hi @Irisjj ! Not sure if it’s helpful but I had EC on 20th January and was told straight after that it was a freeze all due to concern of OHSS, I asked how quickly I could have FET after and I was told that I could start on the second bleed (first bleed ended 3rd Feb) and then my second one was frustratingly 13 days late! Started fyremadel & oestrogen on 18th March and transfer (all being well!) booked for 11th April.

I did wonder myself, if this is unsuccessful how soon could I try another round of FET? Do they like you to have a cycle break in between? X

Stopthatnoisemummy · 24/03/2023 20:59

@Irisjj I had a failed fet in Jan and on my 2nd attempt this month, so a month in-between. I'm doing a natural modified cycle though, so no medication in the first part of my cycle.

I had a covid enforced break (when clinics were shut) between my fresh transfer and fet back in 2020.

greentreeseverywhere · 24/03/2023 22:56

So blood test levels are 132.1 which apparently is a good level. Back Monday to see if they have doubled

greentreeseverywhere · 24/03/2023 22:56

@Banbi Congrats rest up!!!

MrsWatson84 · 24/03/2023 23:08

@greentreeseverywhere glad to read your update and it’s positive. Fingers crossed for Monday. How are you feeling?

Stopthatnoisemummy · 25/03/2023 06:53

@greentreeseverywhere really glad to hear your update, hope you're managing to relax a bit before bloods again on Mon

ESWill · 25/03/2023 07:16

Hi everyone- today is my 6th day on Meriofert, so also had my fyremadel injection this morning- really stingy! Anyone any positive experience/ zero side effects on fyremadel to settle my mind? Thank you:) x

MrsWatson84 · 25/03/2023 07:34

@ESWill I took meriofert and Fyremadel and found the latter quite stingy too. I think the needle feels like it should be sharper somehow!! No side effects, no bleeding /bruising etc. I got used to it pretty quickly. Good luck 🤞🏼

MaybeBabyTwo · 25/03/2023 08:30

@ESWill I did fyremadel and had no side effects. I iced the heck out of my stomach before I did the injection which helped with not feeling any stingyness I assume. The clinic also told me straight in rather than 45°, and stomach not thigh.

Sd183 · 25/03/2023 08:59

@ESWill i started fyremadel today too! Found the injection less painful than ovaleap but the after tingle was much worse. I iced but I’m gonna ramp that up tomorrow!

Lyrabee · 25/03/2023 09:04

Hi Everyone! Just dropping in as I've been reading along with you all and I'm in my 2ww. My transfer was Monday just gone (I think a couple of you are the same!) But my test date isn't until 14 days after so a week on Monday. I used gonalf and cetrotide as my jabs but I didn't have any scans as I was actually on holiday for the week I needed to take them.
I'm taking the pessaries twice a day and I was having the ocassional cramp but that's stopped now and tbh I'm pretty sure it was mostly just me needing the loo which has been a bugger thanks to the pessaries, I have IBS so any small change in that department is a nightmare 😂
I've also got really sore boobs and greasy skin!

Nice to meet you all and best of luck for your cycles x

ESWill · 25/03/2023 09:06

Thanks you ladies for the reassuring comments. It feels so lovely to be able to share whilst sharing the same journey.
Yes mine stung afterwards, but went after 5 minutes 1 which I'm really grateful for . Long may it continue!
So @Sd183 - I'm guessing your day 10 is also next Wednesday?
It will be nice to follow eachothers journeys.
@MaybeBabyTwo and @MrsWatson84
thanks for the quick response and the reassurance ♥️ .

MaybeBabyTwo · 25/03/2023 09:06

Hi @Lyrabee we were the same day transfer. Nice to meet you.

Negative test for me again this morning, 5dp5dt. I know it's super early.

Sd183 · 25/03/2023 09:49

@ESWill yep, Wednesday ☺️ egg retrieval wed or Fri depending on how my scan looks on Monday ☺️ 12/14 follicles in my first scan yesterday. Have you had a scan yet?

ESWill · 25/03/2023 10:00

@Sd183 That's exciting! Crazy to think we're on the same timings :) I had around that many, but most measured at 8, one was 11 and one measured at 10, so they upped my dose on meriofert to one more tablet.
Yes I also have a scan on Monday, and Wednesday next week. Hoping they'll be able to give me an idea for timings for the egg collection 🤞🏻 it's all a waiting game really isn't it. The best advice I got from an amazing nurse, was not to look to the end and see it as daunting, but just day by day. That helps me quite a lot. Lovely to be in touch with you :) x

AlisonDanuta · 25/03/2023 10:37

Thanks for the advise about how many embryos to transfer. I think it depends on the quality and outcome on day 5. If we will get not so great quality blastocysts (that they would not freeze) we will decide to have 2 put back for better chances.

At the moment after Egg collection where we've had 8 eggs collected - 7 fertilised..
So now waiting to hear how those are doing on day 3 and then the dreaded day 5...
