December IVF

Hi 👋 I can't see a thread for December IVF so thought I'd start one for those squeezing in treatment before the Christmas cut off.

Backstory from me: one toddler DD from previous IVF ICSI in 2020. Trying for baby 2, have lost our 3 frozen embryos from our first round over the last few months (2 failed FETs and one didn't survive thaw) so heading into a new round. Aiming for a fresh transfer if possible after a freeze all cycle last time due to OHSS risk so I'm starting on low dose bemfola 112.5. AF due next week so just waiting for my meds to arrive the back to being a pin cushion for the next few weeks!

Hello there! Seems like it is! At the minute my body is very sore and just tired to be honest! How about yourself? I wish you all the best as well!

my day 10 scan is on Monday and then Wednesday is the 12 scan and if all goes well - egg retrieval on Friday - how is your cycle going so far? xx

Don't worry, glad to have some company! I've been on these threads a few times now. I'm still waiting to start jabs, expecting my period next week so keen to get going! Have just paid today and waiting to hear about my meds being delivered

@Eggling just jumping on this thread. We’ve just paid our balance today too and waiting on a call or email about getting out medication delivered. I’ll be chasing it up tomorrow as my cycle is due middle of next week and want to start then really.

on Monday 7th we started Menopaur then I’m on 4th day of injection and we start the Fryamdel on Saturday

I have a scan on Monday 10th and Wednesday 12th and if all goes well Friday 14th will be the egg retrieval

then embryo transplant following days after so hoping it all goes to plan

I am very sore at the moment with the injections but it’s all good 😌

@Brit22 welcome!! Sounds like we might be cycle buddies as I'm also due mid next week. I had to ring the medication supplier as the earliest delivery showing when I tried to select online was Tuesday but speaking to them they put me in for Saturday no problems. Hope you get yours sorted soon! Is it your first round?

@Eggling yes it does sound like it 😊. Hopefully the clinic have sent the prescription over but I’m not holding out much hope as the communications have been terrible with them. Yeah this is our first go. Is this your second go?

Hi all, hoping to join as I'm also squeezing in treatment before Christmas!! It's my first round of NHS IVF. I think I'll be a bit behind everyone here as I just started norethisterone today and have a baseline scan booked for next week, before starting injections the following week 😬🤞.
Not feeling very prepared physically or emotionally, but just going to try and take it as it comes I think!

@kamaha you should get it squeezed in before Christmas. Tbf I’m not very prepared for it either.

Just called the medication company and they haven’t received the prescription from the clinic, which I’m not surprise at. I’ll just have to chase the clinic tomorrow as it’s cutting it fine.

@Brit22 I guess it's normal to not feel massively prepared! I'm sorry you're having a nightmare with the clinic sorting the meds - not what you need at all. Hopefully they'll get it sorted for you tomorrow though 🤞

@kamaha I’m sure I’ll have a rant on here tomorrow if not. I’m not a patient person at the best of times never mind this especially when we’re paying so much money for it you’d expect good service.

@Brit22 definitely welcome to rant on here! But hopefully you won't need to as they'll get it sorted. Definitely have every right to be impatient with this stuff though, as you say, especially as you're paying so much!

@Brit22 yes second round, first round got me my DD and three frozen embryos but the frozen embryos have all failed to implant so going again. Hope you get the meds sorted - totally agree that for the money it should be a better service!

@kamaha finally after lots of chasing today my meds will be getting delivered on Tuesday. So now I can stop stressing out.

Hi everyone - jumping on the thread if I may?!

Started to down reg on Monday for a FET with final remaining embryo - we won’t be going again after this one so this is it!

Currently have 17 month old DS from FET - took 5 rounds of treatment to get him here so a long journey over many years.

I’m 44 so seems it’s now or never to give it a final go so we can come to a conclusion whatever it is.

Injections have been fine so far though feeling v bloated today.
