Hi everyone - just wondering if there is anyone out there who has recently had their embryo transfer or going through their ICSI treatment now?

I had my embryo transfer (5AA grade) this weekend and feel a bit surreal!

It would be lovely to speak with anyone whose going through it right now xxx

Had anyone told their GP about their pregnancy? I haven't yet as I'm still under the care of the private clinic who said they'd pass me back to the NHS after the 7 week scan. I feel weird not telling them! They didn't tell me to tell them so I'm not really sure! Xx

@peanutpending I told them sort of, they're usually really good at getting patients appointments but I didn't bear from them after filling in the online form for 2 days. I only got in touch to ask for more thyroxine dosage as I'm on a small dose daily for subclinical hypothyroidism, and you're meant to immediately up the dose. Finally got a Livi appointment and got the meds but gp themselves haven't replied with any bloods or midwife appointments. My private IVF clinic keeps you on til 8 weeks but I'd like the care to run simultaneously really as they don't do the bloods a midwife would do I think.

Pippamorgan · 13/11/2022 05:35

Unfortunately for me my lines didn't get any darker and my other test come back negative I have left messages over the weekend with my clinic but I think for me my journey is over 😭.

I really wish you both the best of luck ❤️ @peanutpending @Imisscoffee2021

Imisscoffee2021 · 13/11/2022 07:19

Oh I'm so sorry @Pippamorgan. I hope you and DP are OK xx have you got any embryos frozen or another round in future? Really hope your clinic can give you some hope for next try xxx

peanutpending · 13/11/2022 08:01

@peanutpending @Imisscoffee2021
Thank you both, I don't, this was the only embryo that fertilised and made it to day 3. We are absolutely devastated just hope the clinic can get some answers for us and how to go further. Xx

peanutpending · 13/11/2022 22:43

I'm so sorry @Pippamorgan ❤️ it's heartbreaking. I Hope they find the answers and get to the bottom of it all. Xxxx

@peanutpending how are you doing? I had a random little fresh red bleed on Thursday and freaked out, had an early 6 week scan yesterday and saw the bean and its heartbeating! Tiny bit of fluid near sac from implantation that will work its way out as spotting apparently, so although scary was normal, really don't want anymore!

peanutpending · 20/11/2022 15:21

Hey @Imisscoffee2021 - I'm okay thank you. Paranoid little bean isn't there as I've resisted testing but may test tonight. Scan isn't for another week. Oh wow I bet you were worrying!! I'd be freaking out. Every time I go to the toilet in half expecting to see it but haven't as of yet! I have read it's normal! Awwww I bet that was amazing!!! Does it feel more real?? Xxx

OP posts:
Imisscoffee2021 · 20/11/2022 15:44

Definitely feels more real!but a word of caution on testing this far gone, I had a depressed morning when my lines got fainter and thought I was losing it, then read about the hookneffect where hcg is so high it bleaches the trst effectively. So I diluted 70% water with 30% FMU and the lines were super dark again, so don't freak out if you get fainter lines! I'd had a dye stealer frer where you couldn't even see the control line and then a few days later the control line appeared again, was gutted tol I found out about the hook effect!

peanutpending · 20/11/2022 15:58

I've never heard of this @Imisscoffee2021 - I definitely had some dye stealers as the control line was much lighter than the test line! I freaked out about that as well 😂

OP posts:
Imisscoffee2021 · 20/11/2022 17:21

Yeah I had lovely dye stealers then the trst linenstaryed sort of giving colour back to the control line, turns out its because the hcg was too high not that it was dropping :) thank goodness for Google and these forums!

peanutpending · 20/11/2022 17:58

@Imisscoffee2021 this is tonight's! I'm hoping as that vertical line is so dark it's a good thing. The horizontal line looks quite light!

Honestly I'd be lost without these conversations 😂

Looking fab! Whens your scan? Have you done any digital weeks one yet? Seeing that climb from 1-2 and then 3+ gave me peace of mind :) I'm technically 6 + 1 today but scan dated me 6+1 yesterday, had a scan a few days before that put me at 5+3 so bean clearly had a growth spurt!

peanutpending · 20/11/2022 19:49

Awwww @Imisscoffee2021 that's great news! Yeh I did do a couple of digital ones. First one was 1-2 then the next 2-3 but haven't done one since. I was scared jt would be 1-2 again 😂

Yes it definitely does but I've had no symptoms at all apart from some tiredness so for a long time I thought something was wrong! Quite lucky I suppose as I know some people have a rough time. ❤️
