@Rosequartzz OK many thanks, it would still take going to Cyprus though but yeah prices might be better if they're associated.

user1473271491 · 13/09/2023 22:49

user1473271491 · 13/09/2023 22:49

Rosequartzz · 14/09/2023 11:03

@user1473271491 I saw on their Instagram page they mentioned they are either offering it or will be offering it.

Sorry that's not helpful, do you want me to ask them ?

user1473271491 · 14/09/2023 11:04

Yes please r u going there soon

Rosequartzz · 14/09/2023 17:05

@user1473271491 I'm not going there but happy to drop them an email. I built a good relationship with my consultant who's still supporting me whilst I seek treatment overseas.

user1473271491 · 14/09/2023 18:21

Hi which consultant please ask

i did stem cells and Prp

user1473271491 · 14/09/2023 20:08

Hi can I ask why u went abroad

Rosequartzz · 15/09/2023 10:39

@user1473271491 After 5 failed cycles going from aggressive to mild I felt like it was time to explore other opportunities. I actually do feel I waited too long to move clinics. I had already spoken with IB, Cyprus ISI, Instituto Marques who all said go to donor.

When I went to the fertility show for the 2nd year in a row almost ready to go with Dunya who I had also spoken with. I was open to speaking with other clinics. The one I went with was confident about the things they could try and it things we've not come across before, they also did not push their services on me, simply wished me well. I did manage to speak with the consultant at the show as well for quite some time, they were attentive and very clear about the pre-tests that would be required. What came as a very welcome surprise was the cost.

What would have cost us almost 2k for just the tests they ordered, we got completed within £700 overseas. This includes the travel, hotel, food, taxis and the tests.

user1473271491 · 15/09/2023 11:07

Am also thinking is same
Option but partner ain’t sure

Rosequartzz · 15/09/2023 16:32

@user1473271491 I'd recommend setting up the meetings with different clinics and then see what he thinks. My husband was the same. Women spend so much time on forums we have tonnes of support, ideas and we never stop trying to figure out the next step. Men only hear what we are saying which is not as much as what we say here. He isn't exposed to it as much as you are so he's not seeing how many people go overseas, costs, treatment etc.

I was so scared to go overseas and wondered if the standards would be as good as the UK, I was so happy with the clinic. They have a co-ordinator for overseas clinics which is typical of all overseas clinics.

The money doesn't mean cheap quality or anything like that they're costs are simply lower. I paid £4 for a weeks worth of clomid overseas whereas in UK its definitely more than double the cost

user1473271491 · 15/09/2023 18:24

Hi he is unsure about the whole
thing of using a donor

user1473271491 · 15/09/2023 20:33

Vicky81B · 05/10/2023 09:22

Serum clinic in Greece does PRP too.

I've been doing lots of researches and reading tons of post on different forums and reviews and Serum clinic in Greece has 99% of 5 star reviews, both on google and on Trustpilot. I have a friend that got pregnant there with her own eggs after 4 fail cycles and 2 doctors had recommended her DE.

I had an appointment with them a couple of weeks ago and was amazed by their approach. The consultant went through every single detail of the exams and previous medical history I had sent over and mentioned whatever he was concerned about, not just ignored everything and suggested IVF with ICSI straight away, as other clinics I've been to did. The next day he sent an email with notes from the appointment and all the investigations he would recommend, explaining the reason for each one of them.
I sent over a big list of questions after the appointment and he replied with an email very complete and detailed. Definitely the BEST DOCTOR I'VE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY WHOLE LIFE.

Rosequartzz · 14/10/2023 21:48

@useruser1473271491 sure, please direct message me

ttcsince2017 · 31/10/2023 15:39

@Rosequartzz Hey,
May I ask why you can’t have Ovarian PRP with endometriosis and which clinic advised you of this?

Rosequartzz · 10/11/2023 11:11

@ttcsince2017 ISIS Cyprus and Instituto Bernabeau both said no when I enquired at the beginning of the year.
I had Ovarian PRP in Bulgaria 3 weeks ago, prior to this my AFC was hovering around 1-2.
I recently had day 2 scans there was 3 small AFC and 2 large without any stims. For me the PRP has made a difference in AFC. We'll see about egg quality when the time comes.

@Vicky81B how did you get on with Serum ? What investigations did they request are done before cycling ?

silverbirchsw · 21/11/2023 08:40

@Vicky81B I've just joined the chat, we've just been recommended to do Ovarian PRP and I noted you may be having it at the serum clinic. Appreciate any info you can share. Thank you Smile

Hello all!
In answer to your questions I'm 44 and really PRP was a last chance option for me after 5 unsuccessful rounds of egg collections. I was supposed to wait until my 2nd period after the PRP treatment for maximum effect but I didn't want to wait and went straight into preparing for egg collection with my 1st period. I wouldn't say I had a higher quantity of eggs after the PRP (they collected 6 eggs and 5 fertilised) but it seems i had 2 excellent quality blastocysts, 2 good and 1 poor which were better results than my previous cycles. My clinic in Athens has given me a completely different protocol from the clinics I used in Spain and the U.K. I didn't go for the pgd-a test this time so nothing was frozen. The 4 fertilised eggs were transferred back into my uterus after 2 days and 2 weeks later I can't believe I just tested positive on a pregnancy test! It's super early days so I don't want to get too excited yet but this is the furthest I've come on this journey. I'm not sure if it's the different protocol or the PRP that's gotten me here but I'm glad I took the risk. I've still a long way to go but I'll keep you posted.

congratulations, I am in your shoes and looking for the best clinic for treatment< can you share which clinic in Athens helped?

Cloclo93 · 06/06/2024 11:35

Hi @SE765 were you successful in your pregnancy?
@Vicky81B did you go with serum? I am considering going in September, 1st in August for PRP due to bad eggs and low AMH and 2 failed ivf cycles here in Ireland 😪
@Rosequartzz Did you have a successful EC? do you think the prp improved your egg quality?

Xx

SE765 · 06/06/2024 15:46

Hi @Cloclo93 Yes I was successful!!! I went with Serum in Greece, followed their PRP protocol and became pregnant after my first round of IVF with them. Being 44 years of age I was told by so many clinics I didn't have a chance of successfully using my own eggs and having completed 5 very unsuccessful rounds elsewhere I was losing hope. Serum were AMAZING! (But I feel I took some huge risks) One thing I did differently there to other clinics was that I had x4 fresh 2 day old fertilised eggs implanted. No waiting for fertilised eggs to develop to 3 or 5 days, no genetic testing, no freezing of the eggs. I just went for it. I now have x1 beautiful little boy. Whether it was down to the bold (risky) choices I made or the PRP or a combination of both, I don't know... but going with Serum was literally the best decision of my life.

SE765 · 06/06/2024 15:56

I can't believe I get to take photos like this. He's a dream!
The PRP treatment didn't hurt any more than a regular egg collection btw.
