Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@BlueSilver23 definitely doing the right thing whilst under 35. I hate that because you're not "actively trying" they won't do anything! It would help and help us be more informed for when we are!

@HJen22 sounds like a crappy week for you! Hope it gets better! Having to deal with life, whilst doing ivf is hard! We deserve medals!
I feel sorry for OH, after every meal I need a snooze 🤣 he's washing the cars and been mowing the lawn whilst I've been curled up snoozing with the dog! Looking forward to the scan, just means one step closer and can hopefully find out a definite date for transfer! 😍

@VO27 a chance of twins is better than none, so I really hope it all works out for you 🤞🏾 when is OTD for you? How are you feeling?

@Babydust2u absolutely! I think it's worth us all remembering that you just need that 1 embryo to get you there. Ovaleap is the best! I was on meriofert the first time and had to mix 3 viles a day! Then they put me on the max dose which would have been mixing 6 a day! So thankfully they put me on ovaleap and that pen is so easy to use, and you don't feel a thing!

@Reefy thank you! Fingers crossed it is where it needs to be! Have you started stims yet?

@badassmum22 welcome! How are you doing on the norithisterone? Are you glad to be on the short protocol this time? I hope this one is a better round for you 😊

@Babydust2u I also feel like I look at food and put on weight! Very easy to put on and so hard to lose! I try not to beat myself up as we are putting our bodies through a lot but it's rubbish feeling meh with weight as well as everything else isn't it!

@Reefy how were you on norethisterone? And any sign of AF? I just started today and can't tell if I'm already irritable cos of that or if just cos I had a quiet and quite boring weekend and my OH was our yesterday and I could tell he didn't want to do much today. He did come to the coffee shop I wanted to visit so I can't complain I guess. Also been trying to keep the fur baby's apart as chasing each other and meant to be resting!!

@badassmum22 welcome! And very much in the same boat! We had a failed cycle that started end of Feb, and have just began norethisterone for our second full cycle. Are you doing EC again?

@Coops0406 such a crappy week 😂 my emotions were running high too which didn't help. Felt silly after my meltdown. Hopefully next week will be better 🙏🏻 haha after meal snooze sound great! Listen to your body and sleep when you need to; need the rest for sure during all of this!! Good luck for your scan tomorrow!!

Reefy · 15/05/2022 19:22

@HJen22 I've found them fine. I do feel quite tired but I am due my B12 injection in 2 weeks & I do struggle the last few weeks. I had a day off yesterday & was bliss apart from waking up at 6.30am I normally get to at 5am for work so guess was a lie in. I went for a nice walk along the beach then caught up with my tv & sat ok the balcony with a shandy 😂. I don't finish the last one till Tuesday night so they sat should bleed Saturday then stims start Sunday! All being well as normally 4 days but last time was only 3 days so see what happens! Also the last 2 cycles I've had a cyst so I hope I don't this time so will see what baseline scan on Tuesday says

HJen22 · 15/05/2022 19:34

@Reefy ah sorry I read your previous post as you had finished them Tuesday not that you do finish them Tuesday! Got you! Ah great you got a lie in! I found last cycle I couldn't sleep and was waking up so early, think the anticipation and meds does it so think I'll be the same this time! I was similar last time and hopefully will be this cycle too; finish the pill the Thursday, Baseline scan the Monday and due to start stims the Tuesday if AF comes. I hope you don't have a cyst at baseline scan! Everything crossed for some smooth cycles for us all 🤞🏻

Reefy · 15/05/2022 19:39

@HJen22 last cycle I had such difficulty sleeping! Yes not long! You aren't too far behind me then about 2 days! This time next week will be getting ready for my first stims of the cycle! Fingers crossed it's all good for us all 🤞

badassmum22 · 15/05/2022 19:42

Hi @babydust2u yes, very close with Norethisterone! I'm not sure of exact days, will have a better idea on Wednesday after seeing nurses. How are you feeling on Norethisterone so far?

@Reefy thanks. It's not easy right? Hope you are ok too. I had counceling and took 2 months before starting a new cycle. Although it didn't seem right then - I couldn't wait to try again, I'm now glad I did not rush in next round. We've changed clinics and I now feel I'm ready!
We are also doing PGT-A testing so will have time to take it easy before transfer as well.

Reefy · 15/05/2022 20:11

@badassmum22 no it defiantly isn't. We had counselling after our second cycle failed. This will be round 4 we started our first in august so it has been pretty quick. In January I decided to make an Instagram page which is just IVF related & definitely feel that helps me. You have to do it when you feel ready not when anyone tells you. There is no right or wrong. I wish you best of luck

badassmum22 · 15/05/2022 20:32

Hi @HJen22 thanks.
We'll Freeze all as clinic recommended PGT-A. We thought it made sense as last time we didn't get any blastocysts. I had two 2-days embryos transferred and third one was left to develop but sadly didn't.
Hope you are doing well, sorry to hear about your last failed cycle.
How are you finding Noresthisterone so far? I'm starting mine on day 16 of the cycle as per clinic's instruction and I've noticed that the start day varies.. x

Hi @Coops0406, thanks.
Will start Norethisterone on Tuesday, got it from Boots today. Also checked with them how much would it cost to get other meds from them and although they can't source all, it's seems cheaper than at my clinic. Will definitely try Asda! x

Reefy · 15/05/2022 20:54

@badassmum22 have you checked cost of meds with clinic as thought I would mention I checked with Asda today & was the same price as clinic (my clinic used Fertility 2U) I had heard Asda was the cheapest so thought I would try, also they said they don't know how long it would take to get in which when I'm set dates can be tricky.

@badassmum22 I can't seem to see all of your reply but I see asking about the page, of course it's

BlueSilver23 · 15/05/2022 22:00

Currently on norhisterone and hating it. Bloated, keep getting weird ovary pain, and spots! Got another few days I think. Annoyingly I still haven’t been sent the prescription for my stims. Cutting it a bit fine

Babydust2u · 15/05/2022 23:14

@Reefy deffo worth asking them.. yeah it's my first time I'm abit nervous

@Coops0406 aww that's good to hear they aren't that bad I know know how you manged to mix all of them x

@HJen22 imagine if they had stim injections that would help us loose weight and get us ready for ivf omg that would be amazing! x

@badassmum22 I feel like my pelvic area is heavy like I have a dull feeling there does that make sense? I'm on day3 of them taking it how you finding it? I'm dreading my period coming in away I heard after taking norethisterone you get a proper heavy flow 😒 but at the same time I'm excited that i might be preg soon x

Babydust2u · 15/05/2022 23:19

@BlueSilver23 which clinic are you with? I'm surprised they haven't come yet! My norethisterone came with my stims and both my triggers as we went sure which trigger to use they have me 2 Gonasi and Buserelin

Anyone tried any of them triggers?

BlueSilver23 · 16/05/2022 06:59

@Babydust2u Its because I was day 12 when I had my consultation so the doctor said to start in a couple of days (lucky I had some left over) so you don’t lose a cycle and we will get stims to you as soon as we can. Wondering if that was the wrong thing to as it’s a week and half later and still no stims prescription to even be sent to the pharmacy! They were much more on the ball last time but I think the nurses ticking everything off has been the hold up. They just haven’t shifted themselves to do it. Ive had to try and call almost every day to try and push this through 🙄

out of interest, what dose of norhisterone are people on? Mine seems at little low?

BlueSilver23 · 16/05/2022 07:02

@Babydust2u I used a buserelin trigger last time. And yes the period is heavier on norhisterone I’ve found.

BlueSilver23 · 16/05/2022 07:04

@Reefy I gave up on trying to source a cheaper prescription, I still don’t have mine so can’t waste more time sending it somewhere else.

BlueSilver23 · 16/05/2022 07:08

@Coops0406 I will have to mix 6 vials a day. I hate it. At least the cetrotide is mixed already but you have to faff about with temperatures and getting it out the fridge for 30 mins everyday. Why can’t they have premixed meds for standard doses at least? 😭

SamTTC · 16/05/2022 07:33

Hi all, can I join? I’m off the March/April thread like some of the other ladies.

I’m 34 solo ttc, normal numbers but slightly low AMH at 17.
So far I’ve had 4 failed IUIs, one egg retrieval in Feb that yielded 3 blastocysts, one fresh BFN and one frozen BFN, and I was meant to have a natural cycle transfer this month but my lining didn’t thicken enough, so I’m waiting till my next cycle which starts in the beginning of June. That’ll be my last blast and last round before the clinic summer holidays - I’ve already ranted on the other thread about how upset I am not to get another collection in before the forced break, but nothing for it I suppose. Fertility treatments = endless waiting for the chance to wait two weeks only to go back to more waiting.

Reefy · 16/05/2022 08:26

@BlueSilver23 for Norethisterone I'm on 5mg twice a day.

@SamTTC welcome. Sorry you hear about the 2 failed cycles. So your clinic closes for the summer? I've never heard of that before.

HJen22 · 16/05/2022 08:35

@Reefy yeah I was waking up at like 5am all last cycle! And then barely managing to keep my eyes open past 9pm! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I agree counselling really helps, I started seeing the clinic Counsellor last September after we were referred and I speak to her every two weeks. She really helps me recognise my feelings, worry and upset is totally normal.

@badassmum22 im so sorry your round last time didn't work and you had no for the freezer. Thank you, from EC it wasn't great so when we didn't make it to transfer I had had the whole week to process that potentially being the outcome. I was over the moon when the one egg did fertilise but it wasn't the one sadly. The days after EC were the hardest and most stressful for sure. So far I'm ok, last time I was tired and teary (pretty standard for me a lot of the time anyway ha) and didn't sleep great. I also found I felt sick if I didn't take them after food!

@BlueSilver23 ugh sorry to hear you're having a rough time on norethisterone! It's not fun is it! Hopefully you feel better soon! I'm on 3 pills a day.

@Babydust2u haha something to help lose weight would be great!! I'm doing slimming world which I've done in the past to try and keep me on track, although yesterday I didn't stick to it at all! My period after norethisterone last time was much the same as my usual; which is pretty light and not for many days!

@SamTTC welcome lovely 🥰 apologies I was struggling to keep up on the other thread but glad you're here to chat ❤️ how are you feeling? I hope a little better. Please don't give up hope. I'm really sorry your clinic will be closing over summer, is there another clinic you could go to if that's an option? Xx

Babydust2u · 16/05/2022 09:27

@BlueSilver23 I'm on norethisterone 5mg x3 a day omg how annoying its like theyre causing unnecessary stress when you dont need it.. as soon as the the prescription has been sent to the clinics pharmacy maybe try giving them a call and get it delivered the next day if poss? I had to change my delivery date and I called them I literally got all my meds 1 day before I was due to start norethisterone np fault of the clinics it was because I was away for a fews days

@SamTTC hi hope your well I'm so sorry to hear about your failed cycles I pray this cycle works for you and all of us got my fingers and toes crossed for us all.. that's the first I've heard any clinic closing for the summer if you don't mind me asking are you nhs or private x

Babydust2u · 16/05/2022 09:30

@HJen22 ooo bet you were relived when yours was normal I've heard so many stories about other where its been so heavy they've had to wear the night pads hoping mine isn't too bad.. I started SW years back but then couldn't get my head around it so going to try and eat more healthy

LT103 · 16/05/2022 09:52

@Babydust2u i had buserilin trigger but they told me that with that, the success rates of fresh transfer were lower so that’s part of reason we did a freeze all

LT103 · 16/05/2022 09:54

@BlueSilver23 i had just one norethisterone tablet twice daily. I’ve seen some people with 3 times a day but mine worked fine.

im just at appt for bloods again. Had urine opk peak this morning so hoping I’ll get a date for FET this afternoon
