Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@EmzieMurf1987 thank you so much I'm just preparing myself for the worst tbh I doubt my follicles will grow from like 8mm to 16mm in a space of 2days Coops was saying her clinic needed their follicles to be a minimum of 16mm for egg collection I pray I have a miracle and collection be on Friday or we will have to folk out on medication again.. its crazy how for like 4 injections I had to pay £100 to tie me over the next 2days it's just cost on top of costs... ow are you getting on x

@HJen22 how you getting on? Did you do your injections standing yesterday? Did you find it better x

@BlueSilver23 I was under the same impression, until my friend who is 17 weeks pregnant told me. She started beginning of feb in her new place, and will qualify. Its not the case for me I'm in here over 6yrs though, but might get a second job to make some extra fund, so that could be another mpay.

@LT103 we were not qualified for nhs so all the 3 iui, and 2 EC were self-funded (inherited some money) and now with the house deposit thats all gone. DH said he thinks we can save up another full cycle by end of October (if we want to do a fresh before FET) but firstly I need to know whats going on :)

I can't stop myself to looking my tests...should delete all of them and let things happen as I can't change on the outcome. Hoping today's work distract me again.

@LT103 wow seriously this just keeps being so frustrating...I don't want to give you false hope at all but it COULD be a slow starter at this point, right? However I'm glad you are staying realistic, because anything is possible at this stage. I don't think it's likely to be ectopic though, wouldn't the numbers be crazy high if that was the case?

I start my antagonist shot today, Fyremadel- I remember it being a bit thicker of a needle, that should be fun. This is my 6th day of stims and I feel absolutely nothing in my ovaries (for the first time in ages, they are incredibly active whenever I'm in the tww haha), but I did start having a pretty ridiculous amount of ewcm yesterday... curious what the scan will show on Thursday.

@FlyOnTheWall89 good luck with your nurses appointment and getting your dates! Once they are in the diary I find the time goes a little quicker with a date to aim for x

@Babydust2u how are you lovely? I'm ok, I'm getting a sore head quite a lot now but other than that ok! OH did stims last night and no bruises yay. I was so grumpy and just like meh this sucks when he was doing them. I did it laying down since I don't need to aim or anything when I'm not doing it.

@SamTTC i burst into tears on the poor nurse yesterday and she was asking what I was worrying about other than losing pregnancy and i said about the pains and worried about ectopic as they had mentioned it and she said that she thought the numbers weren’t high enough for ectopic.

Ive had hardly any cramping this morning so now I’m worrying about not having cramps. I just wish I could know one way or other how it would go

Sorry for the radio silence, yesterday was a tough one! I also think the effects of suddenly stopping such high doses of oestrogen & progesterone doesn't help with the emotion of it all!

@Reefy how are you doing?
They say they want you to have a withdrawal bleed first, although I've heard of people doing them back to back. I may get chance to start on my July cycle and know either way before my 40th and then just give ourselves a break from it all.

Hi ladies thank you all for the well wishes today. Sooooo ….. I have 11 follicles 11-15mm, 4 follicles 8-10mm and lots of little ones that prob won’t make it, but that’s fine very happy with the count and I’m not overstimulating! Lining is at 12.5mm with a triple stripe (apparently that’s good 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️) and oestrogen is 2461. So all in all quite a positive start! They want me back again tomorrow for another scan and I guess potentially EC either Friday or Saturday!! I’m nervous and excited, but also trying not to get my hopes up too much as so many things can happen!

@Reefy congrats on being PUPO!! Test day will be here before you know it! Sending all the positive vibes! Hope you have some nice things to do to keep you occupied in the TTW 😘😘

@FlyOnTheWall89 how did your appointment go? I hope you had some good news and a date to focus on 😘

@SamTTC good luck with your extra injection today, they really are a pain quite literally!! Not everyone gets symptoms, I think I’m just super sensitive 😂😂 literally have every side effect from the menopur 😂😂 and feel rubbish! Good luck with your scan tomorrow 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@HJen22 also good luck with your scan tomorrow. The sore head is deffo the menopur! I’m also feeling it but hopefully it won’t last. Glad OH was there to be your nurse it must be nice having him more involved with the medication side of things.

@Babydust2u do you also have your scan tomorrow? I really hope your follicles do some catching up I’m praying for good news for you! I asked my clinic today and they like them at 17mm. Again different clinics want different things!! Maybe ask them tomorrow what they are looking for?

@Coops0406 of course, take the time away from it you need. Yes all clinics seem different on what they allow don't they. I just feel like I've got sensitive nipples 😂😂 sorry to much information I think it's the progesterone you know as I remember it from previous cycles! Take some time for yourselves you deserve it.

@LT103 you poor thing 😔 I've cried in front of a nurse before too, they must be used to it. How are you today?

@Coops0406 take all the time you need 💕 you're dealing with a lot and sometimes we need to chat, other times some time away, we are all like that. I hope today has been a little easier. Lots of emotions along with the hormones is a tough combination. Yes thank you, I'm happy now OH has taken over again. Haven't had a great day, been emotional and I just don't have a good feeling. Think I'm worrying about tomorrows monitoring scan. Burst into tears for no reason and just cried to my OH that it wasn't fair.

@EmzieMurf1987 that's great news about todays scan! This time tomorrow you should know when EC is! Yeah sore heads and I'm really tired as well, and having twinges and weird pains every now and then. How are you feeling?

@Reefy haha! My boobs have been sore and swollen since I started on oestrogen! I'm actually looking forward to AF coming and these boobs to deflate!

@HJen22 ahh, it's bound to happen with all the hormones. Plus hearing all the ups and downs of everyone's journeys can be scary and thinking about previous cycles too. I really hope it all goes well for you tomorrow 🥰

@Coops0406 we all have such a tough journey it's just so sad 😞 I wish so badly that none of us were going through this. We need to be strong and keep going but sometimes it just hurts a lot doesn't it. I hope you are being kind to yourself. Do you have some time off work? I told my boss today I'll be a little MIA and have a day off next week but I didn't go into detail she didn't ask, I'd said after last time I wasn't going to be telling anyone so even saying that was telling her more than I'd wanted to really xx

im so stressed over tomorrow’s bloods. I was so convinced we were out and now I’ve let myself have that little bit of hope, I’m just so worried it will be bad news. Still super bloated with sore boobs and still getting cramps tho not as much so hoping that is good signs. They’ve just been so negative since the start I don’t know what to think!!!

Hi everyone sorry for late update. Its been a long day. It took me 3.5hours to even get to the clinic for my 2nd beta blood test.

I'm unsure how to reply to everyone that asked me questions 🤦🏽‍♀️. My clinics official test day is 9dp5dt so that was Friday 3rd June. Hcg levels were 42 they wanted them to be over 100.

My 2nd beta blood test nurse was lovely and took the time to explain low hcg and what they expect. She said generally if they were 25 or under they would be really concerned. And 2nd beta is a better prediction than the 1st and they are able to get the answers they need. She did clarify that what is important is that its doubling after 48hours or close to that doubling number.

Nurse finally called before they closed. I expected bad news as her tone was off. Nope it was good news. My hcg is now 376 at 13dp5dt and said they do not need me to go back for another blood test. My 1st ultrasound is now booked for 2 weeks time... so fingers crossed. I'm still highly anxious as I've been in pain but i think thats my meds. Its not sunk in at all if I'm honest.

Thank you everyone for all you well wishes i really appreciate it and it helped me to try to be less anxious.

thanks @EmzieMurf1987 @HJen22 the injection went fine- didn’t feel any different from the other needle! However I had a bit of a scare because I had two left from my previous cycle but when I opened the first box, there was no needle in it!! Luckily there was in the second one. Relieved I didn’t open them in the reverse order or I’d have been left with no injection tomorrow night. 😬

so far no side effect from stims this cycle. But I’m feeling emotional too. I almost cried in front of my nurse at my last appointment too…I’m just so frustrated that it isn’t working and that they don’t have any constructive things to say other than “sometimes it just doesn’t work.” 🤦🏻‍♀️

@HJen22 I'm good thanks yey on the no brusing 🥳🥳 it's so weird I haven't suffered from headaches but oh my the last few days I feel like I've been having headaches everyday! When's you next app? x

Hi guys, thanks for checking in.

Appointment was great. Lovely fertility nurse ticked off the tonnes of paper work. She gave us a really useful flow chart to explain the long protocol and talked us through each step. It's hefty and long. She went through how to inject - small needle thankfully!

The first day of injections is early august and the first scan is 3rd week of August. That's 20 whole days of a buserelin injection before we even begin with FSH which is in addition to the buserelin. I didn't quite grasp that before, so now I do. She said the process takes 6-8 weeks - surely it's quicker than that. Do they allow for extra time...?

We can continue trying as normal....which surprised me.

We might push it a month - would love any insights...We will have to travel with the medication to our family who are not in the UK and I'll have to inject their every day (we have a house there separate to my in-laws) and we haven't told the parents and I don't want to be pampered over or pitied or worried about. I just sort of want to do it in our own nest, just us two (plus a few very close girls know). Maybe it's better to just crack on and get going? I'll be down-regging whilst away, then FSH back in London. I'm a teacher so We can't push seeing the family to a few weeks later because we run out of summer holidays basically.

Working it out, if we start early September, FET wouldn't be until late 2nd week of October which feels like a lifetime away from now. Urghhhhh we both came away being like god we would love to fall pregnant naturally 🤣😢.

Thanks for cheking on me @FlyOnTheWall89. I am not going to my second beta, as I feel it would be just a waste of time and travel cost. Yesterday I started to feel lower back pain and loads of cramps and, I passed two large tissues this early morning and my test fainter than the first...so its over.

I called the clinic yesterday as I have a big meeting today surrounded with men so I know I would not have the chance to ask my questions when they call with the blood result.(which is not gonna happen now)
For looking FET we would have the same timeline as the fresh cycle, so same as yours. 3 weeks of down reg with Buserelin, than add another two medicines (not sure which they are) to prep the lining than transfer. With my current time line we would start down reg end of July, possibility transfer mid-end of August. I know how you feel about the travel, my family lives in Europe and I didn't see them over two years now because of covid and treatments and we are planning to see them end of July so I will be down regging, while we away. Its only 1 injection in the morning they won't realise and no questions will be asked I'm sure. (We didn't tell them) so my advice is start the cycle if you feel you're ready.

Not a good scan today 😢 I had a gut feeling it wouldn't be. Not as many follicles as last time, only two dominant and one smaller worth measuring/counting. Nurse was lovely but reminded me we needed 3 to get to EC given its NHS. I think this cycle will end up getting cancelled on Friday due to bad response and that will be the end of our NHS funding. My OH says to stay positive but I'm just being realistic. I know I said there was time the other day, and there always is, but not for the smaller of the three to double in size I doubt. Tried to hold back the tears on the way home but didn't manage for long. Just angry at my body, this sucks.

@HJen22 what?? will this count as a used round even if you don't get to retrieval?? That is rubbish! Surely that can't be right?? They haven't even given your body a chance to see if you'd respond better to other drugs. Some people respond much better to Gonal F than Menopur or vice versa, for example.
Really really hoping your follicles all grow by Friday - or maybe they will let you go through retrieval with two follicles if it's two or nothing?? that seems absolutely brutal otherwise! I'm shocked honestly.
I hope you are doing okay all things considered - what a frustrating situation. What would be your next steps, if this round does end up being cancelled?

@SamTTC as it's NHS you have to have three follicles of the size they want to make it to EC. Same with eggs, if you do a round and get less than 3 eggs at collection you don't get to go again. That's why I was so worried last time we'd not get another try, we only did due to the trigger issue.

I'm already on the max dose of Menopur that my clinic can give. I'm pretty sure if I don't have three of the right size follicles Friday I won't make it to EC it will be the end of my NHS funding. I have a friend who got to EC, got two eggs, no fertilisation and then no longer had funding for own egg ivf, just for donor with a very long waiting list.

I'm absolutely gutted 😢 I had a horrible gut feeling about this cycle. We have money aside (ironically I started saving for Mat leave as soon as we started TTC) and would likely go private with one of the Glasgow clinics. I just so badly wanted to have a good shot this time and get to transfer. I feel like my body is failing me badly xx
