Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@EmzieMurf1987 thank you so much eee I didn't even notice you join sos! This thread is moving too fast and I've been so busy with the bank holiday weekend.. how are you? How are you getting on? Good luck for your scan tomorrow hope it all goes well its wierd isn't is it how different clinics have scans different times mine has scans on day5 and day10.. they can't up the medication but they've given me 2days extra of medication on the same dose x

@SamTTC thank you so much they haven't upped the dosage they've given me extra 2days worth of meds on the same dosage it just feels like it's cost upon cost.. im not sure about the sizing they need it to be tbh x

@Coops0406 sending you loads of big hugs ivf is very emotional we put our bodies and our mental state through so much its a emotional rollercoaster please be gentle on yourself and take time to heal xx they've given me extra 2days worth of meds so going to see how I get on with that and then on Wednesday they will make up their mind.. x

** out of curiosity does anyone know what size the follicles need to be?? X

@Dobcaty @LT103 this is heartbreaking. I really hope for you both that things take a positive turn 🥰 I can't imagine how stressful this is for you both.

@Babydust2u my place said they wanted a minimum of 3 follicles at 16mm in last scan to go for EC. I literally scraped into my first one!

Oh @Dobcaty i didn’t even notice your message. This sounds so similar to me except I’m still not bleeding. It’s so awful being in limbo. How many days after transfer was your bloods? My hcg was 32.3 at 10dpt and then 56 at 12dpt. Still waiting on todays for 16dpt but they’re pretty much telling me it’s not good news.
i did read lots about people who had low hcg but went on to have normal pregnancies and managed to get my hopes up but yeah my hope is disappearing fast.
fingers crossed Wednesday brings you more answers!!
the nurse told me not to do home tests as hcg can linger in urine for up to a week but I’ve obv done them every day since

Oh god so I got my results back there and we are no further forward.
10dpt was 32.3
12dpt was 56
16dpt (today) my hcg is 180.7

so it’s not a chemical. We can’t rule out ectopic but there is still a small chance. She said just now it’s going up as would expect but because it started so low we have to be concerned that it might still end in miscarriage. I’m back on Wednesday for a 4th blood test

@LT103 what on earth! This is such a rollercoaster! This is good news though isn't it? I really hope it continues!!

@Coops0406 its better news than I was hoping for. I did ask her if there’s a chance it just implanted late and could be ok and she said yes. But with levels starting so low we have to be cautious that may still end in miscarriage. But for now, I’m still pregnant. Who knows what will happen on Wednesday 🤦🏻‍♀️
one thing for sure I am doing no more home pregnancy tests!!!! Honesty they’ve been lighter and darker and lighter and darker. No consistency. I mean todays was much lighter than my 12 day one but my bloods are so much higher so that means nothing!!

I discharged myself from work just now, I can't deal with happy families today, and of course all of them with new borns or little ones.

@LT103 amazing! You just gave me a tiny bit of hope, however I'm on 12dpt today so my chances are very slim. I will see what happens tomorrow morning hpt, but I saved my today fmu (had no test in the house) which I just dipped and its fainter than was a day before.

@BlueSilver23 what a great numbers of eggos! :) what is your next step?

Transfer all done, was a pretty smooth one today which was good! Went for chips now home with my feet up! 🙏🏻🤞

Infertility is so tough, and then to add on the stress after a positive it just doesn't get easier does it. I really think most people aren't even aware of all these things but sadly, because of our journeys they become all too feared and well known to us xxx

@Dobcaty Sorry to hear this, but as others have said, there is still hope. You can never tell which way these things will go.

im not sure why my next steps are, I just changed jobs so don’t qualify for mat leave for several months so have to leave it for a bit at least. I don’t really know the process for frozen transfer or how long it takes etc!

@LT103 Amazing news, really the best you could have asked for at this point? But of course we are always cautious with this journey. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you it continues in the right direction and this limbo is over soon.

@Reefy Congrats on being pupo!

@BlueSilver23 i can’t remember now. We’re you banking eggs this time round or have you frozen any embryos?

the FET for me was pretty quick because it was a natural/Unmedicated cycle. Called them around day 1 and had transfer 5 days after ovulation and that was that pretty much. obviously if you’ve banked eggs they’ll need to defrost and fertilise them first and I don’t know how that not works. You have a great number of mature eggs though!!

Last 3 times it's been 9 days even on my first day 3 transfer but this time it's 11 days so next Friday! Will soon fly round. I've always spotted before OTD so we're see!

Hi everyone, i found this post by accident while obsessively searching for positive success stories about hcg levels etc.

ET on 25/05 had blood test on 9dp5dt was 42.2 so BFP. Nurse just said we want you to come back for a blood test. This is my first ET so didn't understand all the numbers. Nurse said it should be over 100 🤦🏽‍♀️. So google became my friend. Unfortunately couldn't make it for blood test today so will be going tomorrow.. holding onto hope but least tomorrow we will know. Burst into tears today because i felt was left in limbo over the weekend with no reassurance.

I know some of you havw recently been in the same position so this had helped me semi progress what is happening. Sending hugs to you all.

I’m on day 6 after my first FET… too scared to test now because I see so many people have positives this early so if it’s negative then I’m going to be so sad.
got my blood test a week today. I had some bad cramping 2-4 days after transfer but now I feel absolutely nothing.
What symptoms if any did people get? I’m hoping the lack of symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean a negative result. Thankyou xx

@Dream5678 good luck with your blood result today, I think you will be fine. How strange that different clinics have different measurements for hcg levels. Keep us updated!

@BlueSilver23 when did you start your recent job? The gov recently changed the qualifying requirements and it says. "The qualifying period for smp is having worked for the same employer for 26 weeks continually before your qualifying week which is 15 weeks before your due date. Basically you need to have started there at least three weeks before you conceive."

I fall asleep very quick yesterday (probably I cried myself into) thank you girls, and sorry for my blant yesterday. I don't know what the future holds to us, definitely a lots of ups and downs. I did a test this morning, my DH thinks the line more visible than Sunday's, but we will now certainly tomorrow afternoon. I try to focus on the fact that I had my very first BFP in my life, and having two frosties gives a hope to become a mother one day. (Just need to find the funding to it)

@LT103I froze e eggs so there would have be fertilisation first. This is why I wasn’t sure of timelines etc. I suppose I will have to fork out for a 200 quid consultation to find out 🙄

@DobcatyThanks for that, I was under the impression that you that you had to have worked for a few months before getting pregnant!

@DobcatyHow awful is it that so much of this relies on us being able to afford it?

@Dobcaty that was one of my worries too. Like we’re saving a crazy amount each month in preparation for further frozen transfers if needed meaning I constantly have no money to spend!! When you work out what you could end up spending on this it is scary!!
we qualified for one nhs round but opted to forfeit it and go private due to timing and I’m def glad now. I’m 40 and even though we’ve been trying for over 2 years and are on the nhs list I still haven’t heard anything. Left name on the list out of interest but will need to call and have it removed now we’ve had a round privately I guess. If I’d waited for nhs I’d likely be 41 by time I got to transfer as we had to do freeze all.

@Babydust2u I snuck onto the thread 😂😂 yea it’s so strange how different clinics do things differently! Different scan dates, different blood tests! I don’t think mine even do a blood HCG only HPT to confirm 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ Just sat now waiting for my scan 😬😬. Don’t lose hope as a lot can happen in 2 days, crossing everything that your follicles grow nicely for you!! Good luck for tomorrow 😘😘
