@PMAmostofthetime ahhhhhhh!!!!! This is so exciting!!!

PMAmostofthetime · 27/07/2022 22:42

@Steph2345 Thank you- long way to go but very first BFP! I'll be testing daily for sure.

Autumn245 · 28/07/2022 05:50

@PMAmostofthetime OMG!!!!! I'm so happy for you, that is a fantastic line! Congratulations 🥰

I tested everyday after for about a week, then when got my 2-3 weeks on a digital I stopped as it was safe to say I was definitely pregnant haha. I love seeing people's line progressions though x

1st BFP is SO exciting, be a lunatic! I cried a lot :)

I tested every other day for a week, as I knew I'd stress over lighter lines and wanted to give them time to develop. Enjoy your lovely line this morning :D

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 08:05

@Autumn245 @AliceAbsolum

Thank you

Stressing this morning no FRER left like how can that happen! So I did a clear blue 6 days earlier and the bloody thing errored no result so just had to use a HCG dip stick- There's a few FRER being delivered today from Amazon but honestly I'll probably just go and buy some now 🙈-
Have me wee in a party cup 😂🙈 x

AliceAbsolum · 28/07/2022 08:08

Names and stuff wise, I've had a list of names for about 8 years, which is a bit tragic. I've shared it with DH now and we add and take away from it. In a few days it'll be halved when we know the sex :)

We have a baby amazon wishlist which we spoke about on the vlog and we got loads of random people buy us stuff off it! My mums brought a few tiny things and we got a babygrow from France, so we have a little collection growing. I'll start seriously thinking about buying more once we have got our house back. Moving back in on the 12th Aug, cant wait.

If anyone wants a campervan let me know :p

AliceAbsolum · 28/07/2022 08:10

Oh no! Go buy one, I remember taking pots of wee to Sainsburys for 8am ..... The things we do

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 08:13

@AliceAbsolum lots of changes for you. Not long now until you get the house back- where are you atm?
I expect you'll miss the camper but on to a new chapter :).

I expect you have heard many wonderful and beautiful names on your travels. X

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 08:14

@AliceAbsolum I'm going to head about 29 mins away to buy some as no one knows we are going through ivf! There's a stash being delivered later too 🙈🤣 can't believe of all times I run out x

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 08:14

20 not 29 😂 not that specific

AliceAbsolum · 28/07/2022 08:30

29mins exactly :D

We're in the UK staying at a family members house while they are away, which is AMAZING. I sometimes have 2 showers a day just because I can.

DH and I have started watching youtube videos like "10 things I regret buying my newborn" and stuff like that. I've wanted to (legitimately) watch these for 7 years, so I'm having fun. The thoughts of something awful happening creep in, but I'm not going to let them spoil this.

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 08:34

Your nearly half way there :) - this Christmas will be the best ever!

Not missing Van Life just yet then! Loving the showers too much.

X

AliceAbsolum · 28/07/2022 08:51

20 weeks today so I reckon past 1/2 way as they aim to deliver at 39 weeks as the consultant says they don't let IVF pregnancies go to 40. Eep.

No not in any way missing vanlife, I was 100% done at the end, which is a good place to be when you are ending. It was fun, but no more thank you v much

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 09:00

@AliceAbsolum really I didn't realise this so if my pregnancy continues I'll be having a March baby not an April one :)

That's a very good place to be. Excited and ready for the next chapter. Hopefully 12th August comes quickly for you x

Somatronic · 28/07/2022 09:59

@PMAmostofthetime yay! I am so thrilled for you! Congratulations you must be so excited :) This baby was my first BFP aswell - it's hard to believe it's real isn't it? Don't go too crazy with the tests, if possible - you're definitely pregnant now - squinting at lines wondering if they're half a shade lighter for the next couple of weeks will do nothing but stress you out. I did three tests - the second one was a different brand given to me by the clinic and showed up very faint which scared the shit out of me. I only took one more after that which was super dark and I left it at that because it was making me anxious over nothing.

@AliceAbsolum wow 20 weeks! Congratulations. That's a big milestone. I was reading a bit about the IVF pregnancies not going to full term last night - why is that do you know? It seems to vary between hospitals too. If I delivered at 39 weeks it would be Christmas week which I'm not thrilled about!

AliceAbsolum · 28/07/2022 10:06

@Somatronic I dont know, something about the placenta? I think by 38 weeks the baby is cooked anyway and IVF pregnancies can be higher risk for lots of different reasons (maternal age, etc) so I think they ere on the side of caution and get em out. I'll ask though when I go at 28 weeks.

ginandtonicformeplease · 28/07/2022 13:11

@PMAmostofthetime Congratulations! That is absolutely fantastic news. I managed to resist the urge to POAS too much, but then at about four weeks I was so worried that I hadn't thrown up I got a clear blue digital just to check it was moving along

@AliceAbsolum I'd never heard of IVF babies being delivered early. For Dd I had an ELCS for medical reasons, and that was 39+5. I'm at a different hospital this time, so it'll be interesting to see what they say.

Autumn245 · 28/07/2022 15:43

My consultant also told me they can induce me at 39 weeks but it's not a must, only if I want it. Apparently ivf gives a slightly greater risk of stillbirth after 40weeks, its like 1% higher (or less) so still relatively low.

I had my 16 week midwife appointment today (although I'm 17 weeks tomorrow) got the whopping cough vaccine and blood pressure checked but that was it. Thought I'd maybe get to hear babies heartbeat but no 😔 next scan in 2 weeks though, really can't wait to find out the gender! Anyone else finding out or keeping it a surprise?

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 17:29

@Somatronic I am but then I get scared- every twinge and I think it's over. The clear blues 6 days early digital didn't work this morning so I rushed out and bought 4 FRER from boots on offer by the way and ordered 4 from Amazon- I'm going to test Saturday and OTD Monday.

@ginandtonicformeplease Thank you 😊
@Autumn245thsts so exciting-
Do you have any idea what you think the baby is?
@Steph2345 is keeping it a secret. @AliceAbsolum is finding out.

If my pregnancy progresses I always wanted a suprise but OH wants to know- I'm inpatient so I'll probably cave again.
X

AliceAbsolum · 28/07/2022 17:41

@PMAmostofthetime I still get the "every twinge and I think it's over" thing. Not very helpful!
Saturday and Monday is good. No one needs to be freaking out about slightly different colored lines.
Do you still feel sick?

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 20:20

Feel sick but not been sick- and completely disgusted by foods I usually love and I'm a picky eater anyway 🙈

How are you feeling?

Steph2345 · 28/07/2022 20:44

@PMAmostofthetime did you do another test today in the end? Sorry if you have already said

Autumn245 · 28/07/2022 20:57

@PMAmostofthetime from the moment I found out I was pregnant I have thought boy, but as time passes I'm thinking girl. I tried posting pictures on skull & nub theory groups and got mixed responses so that didn't really help 😂 I'll be happy either way, but I have 1 nephew and 3 nieces so another boy on my side of the family would be nice. My husbands side is mostly boys so a girl would be nice for his side.

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 22:53

@Steph2345 yes I did with this mornings collected wee 🙈- it's exactly the same colour as last night :) I'm not going to test now until Saturday and then Monday although I bought 5 x2 boxes of FRER today 🙈 so I'm well prepared if I cave again x

PMAmostofthetime · 28/07/2022 22:58

@Autumn245 it's a slightly higher chance of a boy from IVF and slightly higher chance of a girl from ICSI.

@AliceAbsolum I forgot to tag you in my last reply to you sorry x
