@Steph2345 Thank you- I was fine after day 3 last time but that went horribly wrong so I'm so anxious and moody today. Just can't wait for an update in the morning.

@HJen22 I know it's different but I worry that it'll never happen too and I'm not sure I could imagine my life if it didn't.
You seem pretty organised and have gathered lots of info. I'll be asking for tips if it's not good news for us tomorrow.

I hope you get some answers- have you asked if you can pay her privately I know a lot of people do both NHS and Private x

HJen22 · 17/07/2022 14:32

@PMAmostofthetime I know, we all have the same worry don't we. It's weird cos some days I throw myself into it then others I don't want to think (always do though) about it, then one of the clinics calls or emails! Just trying to gather info and options and then we'll organise some consultations. They would involve travel and cost though so I think I only want to do 2 max before deciding I think!

I haven't actually asked her and she hasn't mentioned it even though she knows my thoughts, but I know I'll have to say next call with her which is the week after my appointment on Thursday x

PMAmostofthetime · 18/07/2022 12:32

@HJen22 Todays a bad day even though it's transfer day out of 10 Very good quality/ Excellent we had on Saturday only one made it to Blast.

Made me think it's never going to happen. I'm due in for transfer soon so I'm going to ask lots of questions but 1 out of 20 seems insane- obviously I'm extremely grateful for the one but it concerns me that I needed to nearly over stimulate to get it so future cycles seem impossible x

Somatronic · 18/07/2022 14:03

@PMAmostofthetime I was thinking of you this morning. I hope everything goes smoothly for you with the transfer. Thank goodness you have one to transfer but I completely understand your frustration at the drop off rate. Hopefully your clinic can help you to figure out what's going on xx

PMAmostofthetime · 18/07/2022 14:31

Thanks @Somatronic here now all gowned up waiting to go in. X

PMAmostofthetime · 18/07/2022 15:55

Update- PUPO

And 2 Frosties :) came through x

AliceAbsolum · 18/07/2022 16:44

@PMAmostofthetime 3 made it?

Steph2345 · 18/07/2022 17:23

@PMAmostofthetime this has made my day! It was a roller coaster just reading so goodness knows what you have been through! have you got anytime off work at all? Xx

PMAmostofthetime · 18/07/2022 17:51

@AliceAbsolum yes at the last minute- my 8am call said 1 good quality A/B Grace blast no others got there this after noon and they put that one in and the lovely embryologist told me that 2 more B/B Grades had caught up and are going in the freezer :)

@Steph2345 Thank you so much. I've cried Sad, frustrated and happy tears today. Hoping this little one sticks but it's good knowing there's 2 in the freezer!

X

Somatronic · 18/07/2022 20:34

@PMAmostofthetime PUPO and 2 frosties! Fantastic!

PMAmostofthetime · 18/07/2022 20:44

@Somatronic Thank you :)

Really loved having everyone's support today kept me sane through the Roller Coaster c

AliceAbsolum · 19/07/2022 11:43

Ah thats amazing! 3 goes.
You could potentially if you needed too do another collection and get even more in the freezer, its such good news in the long run :)

Whens OTD?

PMAmostofthetime · 19/07/2022 13:52

@AliceAbsolum I'm so pleased :) I think of this one doesn't take we will look for another clinic and do testing and another full round to get more in the freezer before the clock keeps ticking.

I have lots of cramps today and sorry for TMI but brown discharge can't remember if this is normal x

AliceAbsolum · 19/07/2022 13:58

Good idea.

I think ET can dislodge any old blood in the cervix. I've had spotting at all points during an ivf cycle.

Hey all. I know some of you had had Covid and I'm just looking for some opinions. I literally have no idea how careful I should be. I've got a conference soon in London, tubes and trains, etc. Really want to go but worried that I'll be putting myself at increased risk. I don't think I've had it, and my last booster was Nov 21.
Half the stuff I read online says its ok, but with the low PAPP-A and being over 35, I just dont know.
How careful are you being if your pregnant?

PMAmostofthetime · 19/07/2022 17:52

Hey @AliceAbsolum I'm not pregnant but London is where I caught Covid my last Jab was in Oct 2021 and I went in May.

It was literally awful it flawed me for days. Tight chest- burning throat unable to eat for days and no taste.

The chest tightness and cough lasted for 2 weeks and with decreased chest capacity being pregnant I would be as careful as possible and not go if it can be avoided.

A close friend had Covid 3 weeks ago- she's 3 months pregnant she is still ill. Unable to walk far and needs numerous naps daily. X

Autumn245 · 19/07/2022 20:25

@PMAmostofthetime wow what a roller coaster you've had the last few days! Congrats on being PUPO and fab that you have 2 frosties 😊

@AliceAbsolum I started with a sore throat on day 1, day 2&3 had body aches, headache and felt really tired. Day 4 I started coughing non stop and blocked/runny nose but the other symptoms disappeared other than being tired. I've been negative for 5 days now and still have the odd cough but otherwise feel fine. I would suggest wearing a mask and use sanitiser regularly. I'm also 35. My husband is 52 and he didn't catch it from me and as far as he's aware has never had it. This was my first time getting it too.

@Autumn245 my OH didn't catch it from me either x

PMAmostofthetime · 19/07/2022 21:43

@Autumn245 Thank you it really has been a nightmare x

AliceAbsolum · 20/07/2022 19:12

I emailed the midwife team with all my info and my concerns, and they wrote back saying to go. So that's what I'll do! Apparently 70% of pregnant women with covid are asymptomatic.
If I think overall about mine and the babies health then isolating myself and worrying for the next 4 months is really not wise. I'm not going to shield so I might as well get on.
I'm going to skip the tube though and get a taxi 😎

PMAmostofthetime · 20/07/2022 19:56

@AliceAbsolum That sounds like a great plan x

Somatronic · 21/07/2022 11:13

@AliceAbsolum sounds like a plan. My mother is like a lunatic complaining to anyone who'll listen about how "reckless" I'm being with Covid. Up until last week I had to get a bus to work 3 days a week where I have my own office and socialised maybe once a week. Now that it's summer I work from home and maybe socialise a little more, but almost always outside and I wear masks when I'm out and about.

What else can I do other than sit at home all the time? With all the restrictions gone it's impossible really to avoid, but I do my best by going to events that are outside, hand-washing and wearing high-quality masks.

In my case I had my booster in May because I had Covid in December and the IVF clinic told me to wait until after IVF to get it. I feel slightly better having had such a recent booster.

My brother in law has offered me a ticket to a match in a stadium that will have 80k people in it on Sunday and I'm really tempted to go! Brain and heart currently fighting that one out!

AliceAbsolum · 21/07/2022 12:28

@somatronic I'm so glad I came! Absolutely the best decision for me. Pregnancy after infertility is hard enough let alone with covid worries too.
I think I'll be extra careful from 36 weeks, but I'm also due another booster as pregnant. I just can't live inside in fear when I may have had it last week and didn't know about it!

AliceAbsolum · 25/07/2022 09:24

Turns out I didn't get Covid from London, and had the best day :) Glad I've decided to basically ignore it until the 3rd trimester then reassess.

Nearly 1/2 way. Saw the midwife and actually had a positive appointment for once. No protein in my urine, blood pressure fine, heard the baby on the doppler, she was very reassuring about the low PAPPA. Refreshing.

20 week scan in a week, cant wait to find out the sex. I made the mistake of Googling "what to expect", and the risks of what they might find all came up. Honesty, every single time I Google anything to do with pregnancy, I regret it. I'm going to NCT and I'm not going to look into anything else. I only keep the app for the timeline. Its so unhealthy, 90% of it is - all the horrible symptoms you're going to experience. No thanks.

Anyone due or had the 20 week scan?

@PMAmostofthetime Hows the 2ww?
