@LT103 A 30% chance isn't too bad, hopefully little embie will stick! It's good your line is getting stronger, and as you tested negative a few days ago it may suggest you did have a late implanter. My beta was low (98 at 14dpt) but in my case I tested positive on 5dpt or 6dpt so knew it wasn't a late implanter and so there wasn't really any hope for good news, but while I was reading about it I saw plenty of good new stories with low betas that were probably late implanters. I hope you get news in your next bloods 🤞 xx

SamTTC · 02/06/2022 11:44

@LT103 have you had your test yet?

@HJen22 how’s it going with stims? We will be cycling together again after all :)

I had my blood test and it was super negative, so I’m all good to start my retrieval cycle. All good.
I’m disheartened though because she only saw 13 follicles on the scan. That’s less than the 16 I had last time, and a lot less than the 26 they saw in my first FET cycle.
oh well. I have literally no control over this process. just thankful to actually have the timing work out so far.

LT103 · 02/06/2022 16:15

@SamTTC yes not great news. Hcg up from 32 to 56 in 2 days which sounds ok to me but they have said it’s a suboptimal rise and likely going to end in chemical so back again Monday for more bloods. Still have cramps but spotting stopped at least yet another waiting game!

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 07/06/2022 19:02

First scan today at 7w4d there were two gestational sacs, only one appeared to have a heartbeat and was measuring bigger than the other. Nurse said she reckons it may have stopped developing but wants me to go back for a scan next Tuesday. Heartbeat was 151bpm and she was happy enough with that for how far along i was.

ginandtonicformeplease · 08/06/2022 22:44

@Thirdtimesacharm1 That's great about the one - they're so tiny at 7w. That sounds like a strong heartbeat too. Did you have two embryos put back? Did the sonographer give you any idea what to expect or is it just wait and see? So much waiting in IVF!

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 08/06/2022 22:47

@ginandtonicformeplease had two embryos transferred. I'm back for another scan next Tuesday to check if there's any development.

PMAmostofthetime · 11/06/2022 20:49

How are you all?

Sorry I've been quiet I'm been trying to sort my head out before my next cycle.

I had my appointment yesterday and I start long protocol Monday!

As I'm sure you all remember I'm a huge baby with injections and I can't inject myself , so long protocol with even more injections is going to be a challenge! But one I'm sure we will get through.

Excited to be starting again but trying to be more realistic this time. X

AliceAbsolum · 13/06/2022 19:13

@PMAmostofthetime Good to hear you're starting again! Is the downreg nasal spray?

I'm nearly 14 weeks. Had extra scans around 12 weeks due to yet more heavy bleeding. But everything is going well so far.
I'm a wreck though! Don't trust my body to do anything right. I think 7 years and all the ivf and the previous miscarriage were enough to make me anxious but all this extra bleeding and waits for scans has done me in.
Role on Dec 15th.

@Nutrinerd@Nutrinerd how's your sickness now?

@Coops0406 where you at now?

@Thirdtimesacharm1@Thirdtimesacharm1 how's things?

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 13/06/2022 19:17

@AliceAbsolum I'm back for another scan tomorrow they want to check the the second gestational sac and progressed or not to rule out twins. No morning sickness thank god but the tiredness is another level. I got promoted in work two weeks ago and started a new job and I'm fit to sleep by lunchtime most days

PMAmostofthetime · 13/06/2022 19:34

@AliceAbsolum unfortunately not they couldn't source the nasal spray as I had appointment Friday and started down reg today. I could have waited until next cycle but there was no guarantee they could get it and we wait long enough in this process without my phobia adding more so I'm just getting on with it.

It's understandable that you are anxious hopefully you will relax slightly as your pregnancy progresses.
At the 20 week scan are you going to find out gender? I always said if we got that far I wouldn't but I'd just like a BFP and a healthy baby right now.

Where in the world are you atm?

X

PMAmostofthetime · 13/06/2022 19:35

@Thirdtimesacharm1 congratulations on your pregnancy and maybe twin pregnancy. Good luck with your scan.

AliceAbsolum · 13/06/2022 20:06

@Thirdtimesacharm1 Good luck. I had an empty sac, they scanned it a lot but there was never anything in there. For me I was a bit relieved as worried about twins, but I can imagine its different if you are waiting to find out.

@PMAmostofthetime Good idea about not waiting, you've done it before you can do it again and goodness me you've waited enough!

Yes we will find out the gender, I'm a planner.

Currently in Switzerland, Lake Geneva. It's gorgeous. Trying to enjoy the last bit of freedom.

@HJen22 hoping your cycle is going OKx

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 13/06/2022 20:21

@AliceAbsolum yeah I'm a bit worried about twins myself. I had a scan last week and they didn't pick up a heartbeat beat where the heartbeat on the other was 155bpm. I think tomorrow its more ruling twins out but i could be in for a surprise. I'm on holidays next week so I'm looking forward to relaxing in some sun

HJen22 · 13/06/2022 21:02

@AliceAbsolum hello 👋🏻 hope you're doing well, 14 weeks! Sorry that it's been such an anxious time for you, I really hope things get better x

I'm ok thanks, been a worrying couple days, I had to stim for an extra two days and had another monitoring scan today but I'm an unbelievably thankful that egg collection is going ahead Wednesday! I was so worried we weren't going to get there! Xx

Nutrinerd · 14/06/2022 10:26

@AliceAbsolum have had a fairly grim time with the sickness, currently have covid on top and despite vaccines have been fairly unwell with it. Extra scans though which have been reassuring. How long are you in Switzerland for? We have the same due date!

@Thirdtimesacharm1 hope the scan today goes well. Starting a new job sounds hard - I’m very much still waiting for the tiredness to settle!

@HJen22 All the best for egg collection tomorrow!

Coops0406 · 14/06/2022 12:09

@AliceAbsolum so sorry I have gone completely awol from here as I kept falling behind!
Unfortunately we have had another fail...quite hard to take with a very good euploid embryo and my good results from womb biopsy.
There could be some reasons like the embryo was actually full hatched when they defrosted it rather than the expanded blastocyst they thought it was, and Google tells me that chances significantly reduce with a fully hatched euploid! Also my progesterone was super low before transfer then went super high, which I've read can affect implantation. We have another fully hatched euploid frozen so that is unlikely to work and and expanded blastocyst euploid (but that could actually be fully hatched too like the other one!) We have our review next week.
How are you getting on?

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 14/06/2022 20:00

Ladies

So i had my second scan today, the doctor scanned me and said it was a twin pregnancy and that there was a sac and fetal pole but no heart beat. I had an appointment with my gp afterwards to get referred to the maternity hospital and she gave me a letter for the early pregnancy unit so I'm gonna ring them in the morning. The other baby is doing good measuring 9w1d (am actually 8w4d) and heartbeat of 159bpm. The doctor said the other sac could be re absorbed into my body or i could miscarry and if that was the case it could impact the other baby

TommieNC · 15/06/2022 09:03

@PMAmostofthetime you’re not a baby, many of us don’t want to intentionally cause ourselves pain, it’s easier if someone else does it.

@Coops0406 I am so sorry to hear about your negative result. It’s heartbreaking when tested embryos don’t stick.

@Thirdtimesacharm1 I’m happy to see that you’ve got one strong baby in there.

@AliceAbsolum i’m sorry to hear that you’ve had more bleeding but happy to hear that everything is looking great.

As for me I had my dating scan on Friday and things are looking good, I’m just waiting for the letter about risk levels.

ginandtonicformeplease · 15/06/2022 10:31

@TommieNC Did they change your due date at the dating scan? They pulled mine forward by a whole week as they refuse to use any calculations other than the size of the baby at the dating scan.

@AliceAbsolum It sounds scary having bleeding so regularly, but I think it's surprisingly common. At my dating scan the sonographer could tell that I'd had bleeding in early pregnancy - it's amazing what they can see now.

@PMAmostofthetime good luck! I hope it all goes smoothly.

@Nutrinerd I was pretty sick with Covid - I think pregnancy suppresses your immune system to a certain extent, so you're more likely to be ill from it.

@HJen22 Good luck for EC today!

@Herewegoagain881 how are things with you?

AliceAbsolum · 15/06/2022 11:39

Ah lovely to see all your updates!

@HJen22 Good luck with EC today, do let us know how you get on :)

@Nutrinerd Oh no, Covid must be horrible when pregnant, plus the sickness. I've not had it yet I don't think, but I know I cant avoid it forever.
Thats so exciting we have the same due date! My consultant says I'll be induced between 39-40 weeks so I'm hoping it will be earlier rather than later.

@Coops0406 How very disappointing and challenging for you, after all the hassle and waiting and testing you did with your lining. Its great you have more embryos but its such a slog isnt it. I think I've asked before but would they put back more than one?
I thought hatching was good! No idea it reduced the chances.

@Thirdtimesacharm1 How many weeks is the twin with no heartbeat? Did they say how liklely it would be to reabsorb? My other sac is still there, but I do think it may be the cause of some of the bleeding I've had who knows. So much uncertainty with this process. Have they offered another scan?

@TommieNC Great to hear your dating scan went well. I'm also waiting on the test results. Unfortunately our post is deferred to my inlaws as we rent our house out, so it could be 2 weeks later. I'm not worried though, donor was 21, so highly unlikely.

Coops0406 · 15/06/2022 11:41

@TommieNC @AliceAbsolum thank you, it's hard but seeing a bit clearer now the hormones are out of my body! Last week was tough!
So expanded blast or hatching is great, but fully hatched is completely out of it's "zona" as they call it and not so great!

Hope you are all well 😊

AliceAbsolum · 15/06/2022 11:42

@Steph2345 @LuckyNovember @SamTTC @Somatronic Hows things?

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 15/06/2022 12:42

@AliceAbsolum to be honest i forgot to ask about how many weeks it stopped developing at. That was my last scan with the fertility clinic. So i have a scan in the early pregnancy unit in the hospital on Monday morning

Somatronic · 15/06/2022 16:15

Hi all. I've been following the thread but I've not been feeling great so didn't have the energy to join in!

All good here really, nothing to complain about. I'm on a week's sick leave because my doctor reckons I'm burnt out from work and need a break. I'm still very tired and bloated and a bit crampy but other than that I can't complain. I have my booking appointment and 12 week scan next week. Tomorrow I'll be 11 weeks. The week's are flying in now!

Hope everyone is doing well. Hope you're enjoying van life again @AliceAbsolum

SamTTC · 15/06/2022 16:26

Thanks for checking in @AliceAbsolum, glad to hear things are on track for you 😊
I had my second EC on Sunday, they got 5 eggs. All have fertilised and I will know on Saturday if any/how many blastocysts will be frozen.
No fresh transfer as they found a polyp that needs to be removed as a precaution (it is in the cervix not the uterus, but they don’t know where the stem is located). I think it’s the same polyp a nurse noticed two transfers ago and dismissed, so I’m glad they’re taking it seriously now. Not sure if they’ll schedule removal before the break or if I have to wait till August, but I can have a transfer/retrieval in the cycle after, so it doesn’t set me back as much as I’d feared.
Looking ahead to an ivf-free summer regardless, which I will try to spend exercising and optimising my diet, since that’s been difficult with the stress of all the treatment cycles :)
