Got bad news from my most recent HCG bloods today. Up until now it has been doubling nicely and its really dropped off. Still rising but not where it should be. I have to have them rerun tomorrow morning and I'm panicked. I'm on 5.4 weeks so this slow down shouldn't be happening yet!

I hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread, I've been reading in the background for quite some time and following your journeys.

I had my egg collection earlier today - thankfully it was absolutely fine. I was so anxious before it but I don't recall a single thing! 11 eggs collected so just an anxious night waiting for my phone call tomorrow with the update!

@W1ngingit I hope it's just a little blip and the levels will be much better tomorrow. How worrying for you. I've got everything crossed that it's all progressing nicely and this doesn't mean anything x

@xreadytoglow Thank you! I'm really pleased, it's our first ever round of IVF so I think I was happy to get any eggs at all :) Feeling okay so far, just mild pelvic pain mainly when moving about so currently got the other half salving away xx

@W1ngingit how close to doubling was it?

I was going to start a new post but I thought some of you might have some advice. Has anyone taken clomid and how was it prescribed? I am trying to get it privately as my NHS referrals never seem to work for one reason or another, but I’m struggling to find someone who can provide it

@Mochii yea I used clomid 100mg once daily for 5 days on my one and only IUI cycle. A week after using they told me they found a polyp on my scan and that turned out to be abnormal as well when biopsy was done on it after the polyp surgery. So cooks scares the bell our of me now as you can imagine

@xreadytoglow thanks. I hope so too. They're pulling back in for bloods tomorrow and have booked a scan to check it's not ectopic.... Gutted really, but trying to keep calm.

@Mochii nowhere near really - didn't even increase 50%. It increased just over 35%. Not overly hopeful. My period-type pains have increased ten-fold, so at this stage I think it might just be the Prontogest that is keeping me from bleeding.

I'm sorry, I've not been prescribed clomid so no use to you.

@Elle147 11 is a really good number! Congratulations. Fingers crossed for lots of mature and fertilised eggs!

I’ve just had a great idea…

If anyone would like to sell their excess clomid to me I am happy to pay a good rate, otherwise I need to try and work out how to order it online. I won’t come after you if my ovaries pop etc 😅 I’m being deadly serious about paying as well!

@W1ngingit I’ve read it can slow down a bit after 5 weeks and still be fine, try not to worry yet. Mine is still nearly doubling (66 percent I think) and I’ve had a missed miscarriage, so it doesn’t always tell you everything! Good luck for your scan 💕

Thank you so much for your lovely words of support! I'm okay, super sad and annoyingly frustrated this time, after my failed first fresh cycle I was heartbroken but not angry. And this time I find myself getting a little frustrated that we changed nothing for FET and it didn't work. Would anyone suggest what I could maybe ask for my next one? I think I'm going to ask them to check my oestrogen and progesterone levels again as I haven't had that checked since I first started 1.5 Yr ago ! I mightention embryo glue too.

Anyway I have read some lovely news so a massive congratulations to you ! Always super happy to read the successes for us ladies !

And anyone going through a bit of a rough ride, this group is always full of amazing support so reach out and be kind to yourself !!

@IVFGotThis05 not sure if mine has worked yet as haven’t tested yet but we made changes between fresh and frozen cycles as below:

• oestrogen 6mg daily and then increased to 8mg daily until lining thickness good

-progesterone additional support with Lubion injection as well as cyclogest pessaries twice a day

• two instead of one blastocysts transferred
• embryo glue
• blood test for progesterone around the time of embryo transfer

I’ll let you know if it worked but today am getting morning sickness and constipation for the first time so fingers crossed 🤞🤞going to still try and wait till next Friday. I know that probably sounds crazy

@EasterBunny7 my husband was off to work and sprayed deodorant and air freshener in the utility room where dog sleeps and as I was walking downstairs it hit me so hard and just had this wave of nausea and non stop wretching. Every time I go in kitchen or downstairs bathroom now I still feel a bit sick 🤢

@IVFGotThis05 I can imagine it must be so frustrating and I'm really sorry you're going through this. Sounds like testing the hormones is a good idea as well as the embryo glue.

@Bluehawaii29 these are sounding like some good symptoms

@Overlyanxious I know I keep saying this but it’s so hard not to symptom spot especially since that’s all I have to go by at the moment! I’m back at work today thankfully so the day has been going Much faster but have to keep remembering to take breaks and also have had to run to the loo plenty times already but at least it’s getting me moving otherwise I end up forgetting and I’m sure that’s not good for my body

@Bluehawaii29 that sounds very promising... though not very pleasant!
