Any top tips. Nervous but excited. May only be 4 to collect, hoping smaller ones catch up and grow over weekend. How big is too big?? Lead is 23mm already.

@Coops0406 I did one further test so far: cb digital. Doing one more frer on Friday because its OTD. Honestly, I'm not one to do multiple tests because I'd obsess over line progression and I don't need that! 😂

@EmJay19 you've had quite a journey! I'm so glad you have your ds though 🥰 fingers crossed for another success this cycle.

@keyu my clinic would not allow two to be transferred, but from reading on here, other clinics are more relaxed about it (which surprised me because my clinic would need a solid reason). Worth discussing with them and seeing what they'd say.

@Holskey I have just ordered some FRER ones which I think arrive next Tuesday, but we've decided to test next Wednesday as I work from home on that day and didn't want to do the test and have to rush to work without having had time to digest what it shows! I actually would rather wait until OTD but it would be horrific going straight to work!

@EmJay19 meditation sounds good! I'm going to have a look at some fertility yoga I think

@Coops0406 I think that's very sensible. Hopefully you won't want to go to work because you'll be too happy 🤞 When is OTD? (Sorry if you've already said! Had a quick glance and couldn't see it)

@EmJay19 reading through your history, you really have been through it. The joy you must have that you have your DS. Gives me hope.

Yes it's my first time. Reading lots of stories on Mumsnet makes me wonder how long I may have to be on this journey, only hopeful that I get success from this because of my age.

I started in August - A 3 cycle package then transfer after 3rd cycle. first cycle I had 3 embryos. 14 collected - 12 mature - 7 fertilized.

2nd Cycle is what I have been updating you guys with - so 3 embryos as well. From 8 embryos collected 5 fertilized.

My third cycle should begin at the end of November, judging from last one, I skip one cycle to get my system back to normal, don't know if it makes a difference but been advised to.

@keyu do you have any reason to believe your eggs are low quality? If not, being young is a great start. There are so many heartbreaking stories on the infertility forum, but people don't start threads about how lucky they've been: they don't need support and it would be very insensitive. Obviously none of us are that lucky because we're here, but IVF works well for a lot of people. It's good to manage your expectations because it might take more than 1 transfer, but hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones🤞

@Coops0406 thanks for asking ❤ Got a strong bfp. Scan isn't until 23/11 which seems ages away, but no big deal in the grand scheme of things.

Hey ! I had egg collection few months ago ! I had 24 follicles between 11-24 mm and collected 17 eggs 😍 good luck to you !!!

@Holskey that's fantastic news!!! So pleased for you!! It seems all we seem to do in IVF is wait for each hurdle! I'm sure time will fly! Look after yourself and keep rested but busy'

@Keyu that's so interesting that you are on a 3 cycle package with transfer only after the 3rd cycle...I've never heard of that! Do you mind me asking if there's a specific reason why you're on that package? It actually sounds ideal and I half wish I'd known about that!

@Holskey Big congrats again on you BFP😻. Reason for me I would think is because I am 40. Oh to be honest all I do Is manage my expectations, I just hope I can achieve a baby with these 3 cycles.

@Coops0406 Dr suggested I start with the 3 cycle package with PGT-A to increase my chances because of my age.

It is the start of a journey for me😁.

@ShareLove that's a lot😍. How many embryos did you get from the 17 eggs?

@Keyu hey !I had 8 on trasfer day but had to cancel due to OHSS , so only 5 good enough to freeze so I got 5 in the freezer . All 5 are 5 days old embies really good quality ones . The other 3 wasn’t good enough to freeze but I am ok with 5 in the freezer ! Will have my first FET in 4 weeks , currently dowregging 😍

@Keyu that's great! I'm 39 but they never suggested anything like that...although they did say PGT-A was a good idea. So with you first two cycles, have they already done the pgt-a biopsies of the good embryos and frozen them?

@ShareLove great you have 5 Frosties! I'm similar to you with 5 Frosties from 17 eggs, but also had a fresh transfer last Monday so currently in 2WW. When are they aiming ET for?

@Coops0406 wow same number as me 😍 so strange !! Didn’t you get OHSS with so many eggs ? I’m suprised you Had fresh transfer done ! Because I didn’t because of how many eggs I got .
My FET is 4 weeks away , so It’s in 5 th week of my cycle . It’s seems so long doesn’t it , isn’t it normally on 3rd week ?
I’m on medication to thicken my lining for 3 weeks before I get a scan to check lining and then a week after I get trasfer .
My FET cycle seems soooo different from everyone else !!!

@keyu ah, I misunderstood- I thought you said the only reason you had to be hopeful was your age (so I assumed you were 30 or something), but you're saying the opposite. Plenty of 40-year-olds have success though! You have already made 6 blasts good enough to freeze. You're doing all the right things ❤

@ShareLove congratulations on your blasts! You must be so impatient waiting for your FET! Hope it goes by quickly for you 🙂

@ShareLove as my first cycle was so poor they knew I was a bad responder so unlikely to have OHSS and my trigger was gonasi rather than buselerin, so lining left in tact which meant I could have the fresh transfer (I had to ask for it though as was on freeze all protocol). I think we were all shocked there were 17! They gave me the leaflet on OHSS but nothing happened, just like period pains for the few days after. I presume you were on the buselerin trigger because of OHSS?
I'm not sure about FET, but I does seem like your on meds for a while first. Hopefully you can keep busy and it will fly by!

@Coops0406. Hey ! Yes I had buserelin injection , this was decided 2 days before egg collection , originally I was going to have gonasi like you ! But because they saw 24 follicles growing they told me to take buserelin . I developed OHSS but only mild , I didn’t have any pain or nothing , just when I bent down I could feel fluid inside my chest area , that’s was my only symptom. So I’m actually glad I froze my embryos x they actually wanted to do trasfer still 5 days later if I feel okay in myself which I did , and I went for a transfer and then they looked at my blood results and they were high and had to cancel the fresh trasfer and also they scanned me and my ovaries were still too large and had fluid around uterus . So on trasfer day I had to cancel anyways . Xx how many day are you now Past trasfer I bet you’re exited

@ShareLove I thought they didn't do a fresh transfers with buselerin trigger as it supposedly damages your lining? So interesting how everywhere is so different in their approaches! Do you feel fully recovered? When was your EC?

I'm 6dp5dt...I don't really feel anything, maybe just nervous as been here before and it didn't work. I actually don't really want to test! But will do on Wednesday when I'm WFH.

@Coops0406 hey ! Yes it’s very interesting how different clinics work differently ! It remember after my egg collection I was so confused when I woke up and the nurse injected me in my leg with something I am not sure what it was , maybe something to reverse the effects of buserelin ? So I could have trasfer ? I don’t even know if it’s possible haha ! But yeah I did take buserelin and was still going for fresh trasfer only if my blood test was ok but it wasn’t . I didn’t know buserelin could damage the lining interesting ! Nobody ever said that to me :
My egg collection was in September , I had to wait for 2 bleeds before I can do FET which is this cycle now I am on . Yes I am fully 100% recovered , I was recovered after about a week already after egg collection .

Wow you’re 6dpt , if I was you I would test already ahha ! I’m planning to test 6 days past trasfer when I have my trasfer . I have 5 day old embryos . So that would make me like 11 dpo which should already show some line if you was pregnant . How exiting for you ! I hope you get your sticky baby ! Do you know what grade embie you trasferred ? I will have 3AA trasferred . Xx

@ShareLove oh god! Have they told you what that injection was? My consultant said the buselerin damages the lining so it needs rebuilding ready for transfer. Something like that.
What meds are you on for down regulating?
So I read that the trigger which contains hcg can take 10-14 days to go, so by Monday night will be 14 days since the trigger...so probably from Tuesday there isn't likely to be any false positives! You won't have any of that issue with a FET so sounds like the perfect testing time! 😍
They didn't grade them, just said they were all good. When I dug a little she said they were 5, apparently 1 below excellent ones but to be honest I have no idea about the grading system. They Frosties has all been biopsied before being frozen so will hopefully get the PGT-A results in a few weeks!

@Coops0406 oh yeha sorry I forgot you had the trigger shot so yeah don’t test just yet !! I got confused sorry ! Yes with FET I won’t have this problem so I can test early ! And no they didn’t tell me what injection it was it was so quick I didn’t have time to react !
I am on evorel patches which is estradiol to build my lining up for the next 2 weeks , iv been taking it for one week so far , so 2 weeks more to go before my lining scan , then a week later I’ll have trasfer is all is ok !!! I started the patches one week after my period started , so 3 weeks worth of patches and after scan I start other tablets and progesterone ready for trasfer .
And wow you getting embies tested , I wish I did but doctor don’t think there is a need for my age as I don’t have any known issues . I hope you get good results and hopefully couple of them will be perfect !

@Holskey I started bleeding and cramping on Monday morning, by Tuesday I was in agony and the bleeding has just got progressively worse 😢 Tested yesterday morning as was WFH and got BFN, as expected. Took the rest of the week off as I'm so uncomfortable with bloating and every movement I make I just feel like my whole abdomen is moving. Will be glad to do the "official" test tomorrow and stop the progesterone! Have you tested?
